All can sing falsetto but Robin was the greatest Vibrato singer i have ever heard in my 69 years life i doubt it ever be bettered❤❤❤
Definitely. His voice has a haunting and vulnerable sadness to it. It's beyond amazing.
Robin was always there to raise the song to another level
There’s a lot more to The Bee Gees than their 70’s music. With 5 decades of music their music has changed with the decades, except that their ability to make beautiful music never changed. No matter what decade you choose they’ll never disappoint you. They started producing their own music and other artists in the late 70’s. Please react to ALONE from their 1997 album Still Waters, thank you.
Yes, I’d be curious as to how you’d react to the pre-Disco Bee Gees. The band had two other guys in it. Three songs, particularly: 1. Massachusetts 2. I Started a Joke 3. Lonely Days
And their last "This is where i came in" from early 2000s. Everything they make is great.
The 60s era of the BEE GEES is really good also ,the double album ODESSA is not well known but was the most progressive production they made until the mid 70s came along ..
Angelina, tell him sister!!!🎉
That was ‘93.
Robins the best!!!❤
You betcha!! The greatest trio of all time!! Robin shines!!!❤❤❤
Robin sings lead on all my favourite BeeGees songs . listen to Massachusetts
Robin is my favorite. His voice is amazing, melodic and yet haunting. Great song choice. Thanks.
Robin had a one of a kind voice. No one can duplicate his voice. Totally amazing. They have a live version of this song in New York. Look that one up. Also another song with Robin’s voice is Bodyguard.
Some of their best , best songs were not in the 70’s. Yes, that’s the exquisite Robin Gibb!❤❤❤
Exactly. I enjoyed their 70's music but their 80's 90's and early 2000s were my favorites.
Robin and the Bee Gees had many hits in the '60s, too. ✨️
Love how mesmerized you were with Robin's chorus. That's vintage Robin. Robin and Maurice have always said Robin sings from his heart and that's why people get that reaction. Robin's voice is hauntingly beautiful and can not be imitated or duplicated. Listen to Massachusetts, Mr. Natural, and Alone. Those showcase Robin's amazing vocals. You will not be disappointed.
The Bee Gees were an AMAZING group. I still listen to their music today as they bring real joy to my heart.
Try THIS IS WHERE I CAME IN official video from 2001!!! It’s full of autobiographical tidbits, shows their humor, and Maurice is playing the guitar John Lennon gave him for his 21st birthday.
The Bee Gees had hits until Maurice died January 12, 2003.
Here's one in a performance with Maurice singing lead.
2000 - Man in the Middle - ua-cam.com/video/RCBrw_qFcAo/v-deo.html
Robin's voice is INCREDIBLE, glorious, remarkable, otherworldly, unforgettably special. Each of the brothers Gibb were so talented, but Robin had a very, very unique voice, and some Bee Gees fans only think of Barry on lead vocals doing falsetto, and the disco era.
Check out Robin's performance on lead vocals on my favorite of the Bee Gee's early songs... "Massachusetts." Robin often sang lead or shared lead in the early days. You should also review one of the music videos Robin did not long before he passed away. It features that unmistakable tremelo and ethereal quality of his voice as he sings the beautiful and inspiring song, "Ellan Vannin," the unofficial anthem for The Isle of Man, where Robin, his twin Maurice, and their older brother Barry were born. Not only is Robin perfect here, but the accompanying choir of young people is wonderful and the footage showing the island's wild coast is stunning!
Barry Gibb had a Number 1 album in 2020 with Greenfield
Beautiful. Love every song.
Great reaction. Their career spans over 50 years. They changed with the times. If you want to hear really different, check out “This Is Where I Came In”. Really good but it’s about their lives.
Another good one is "Alone". You can really hear Robin on that one too.
The Bee Gees were great in every decade. Their last album 'This Is Where I Came In' is fantastic. Wedding Day from it is beautiful. They are a fantastic group but Robin has always stood out in my opinion. No other voice like his!! Today (December 22) is his and Maurice's birthday. RIP
50 YEAR CAREER
Barry did not always dominate the vocals, it just so happened that many of their songs that topped the charts featured his voice. Robin had the voice of an angel- the best of the group.
Robin's voice was too quivery & shaky when singing, often unable to hear the lyrics. Barry's enunciation was much more pronounced & clear....making his voice one of the best ever.🎼
@@kthor Barry’s falsetto was often hard to understand.
You better listen to more of the real early stuff, then the much later stuff!!❤❤❤
5 decades of #1’s!! If you like Robin...listen to Country Lanes...sooo beautiful!!!❤❤❤
@@cathyopthof8136 I like & try to listen to all of their music.
I’m still discovering new songs online since I cannot find their old albums for purchase.
This is a beautiful song. Chills ❤. Adore Robins voice!
Everyone loved Barry but Robin's voice was amazing..🥰
There is a 1950 video of Bee Gees..."Time Passes By." It was there first tv appearance
That was 1960. The twins were only born in December 1949.
@@lclark6854 - Talk about starting YOUNG!!!! One year old! 😁
Over their 5 decades, their music has changed like crazy! You obviously haven’t heard enough of them!
You NEED to check out their children!!! Robin’s son Spencer sounds like him in Don’t fall in love with me.
The Gibb Collective in Please Don’t Turn Out the Lights you’ll get to hear and see Andy and Maurice’s daughters and Barry and Robin’s sons.
David Bowie’s Space Oddity was David trying to sound like Robin, he admitted this.
Started in 1958. Had hits in 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s and 00s. One of the few acts to accomplish this!
check out Robin in 'Lonely Days'! In there earlier years. AMAZING
Their career has lasted over 50 years and oh, how I wish they were all still here! They wrote SO many songs for other people. Research them ... they're the one of the most talented groups EVER!
That’s Robin!!
Watch The Only Love, Maurice and Lulu duet of First of May. Their first decade was the 60’s. Much of their greatest music was made then...Words, New York Mining Disaster...on and on! They totally started out in the 60’s with perfection!!
Patty-I love Juliet. He gets a standing oavation many times withat song as well as I Started Joke. That became is signature song.
Robin is Def. my favorite singer!
This is probably in my top 10 of all Bee Gee videos.
They were truly awesome songwriters, singers and record producers. Spectacular songs from these amazing brothers. You might want to react to some of their hits from the 60s as well. Give a listen to 1967 "To Love Somebody."
My sister loved them, and adored Robin, so much so, his grave was on her bucket list, which she fulfilled. Not to my taste, however this tune, her favourite, gives me comfort remembering her. ❤️
The New York video is different. You should check it out. There is also more than one video of them singing this live on stage.
I LOVE how Robin sings this!!💋💋💋💋💋💋💋
Robin’s voice..❤
There's a second VIDEO and it wàs filmed by Statue Of Liberty
In a far distance..
I'M going back to MASSACHUSETTS.
I TOLD A JOKE. THESE HAVE ROBIN SINGING IS A MUST. THEY WHERE ALL GOOD MELLODIES WHERE
JUST MAGIC. THEY WROTE ALOT OF SONGS FOR OTHER
ARTIST. LOVE IT.💞
The Bee Gees in the 1990s sang together and apart so you can hear each talent Watch Man in the Middle Maurice wrote and lead singer of it
Check out the version of them outside on the NY waterfront. The views of the Twin Towers and NY back in the 90s tugs at the heartstrings.
You missed the word Also.
The Brothers Gibb over 50 yr career was their prime! Listen to their One Night Only concert.
The Bee Gees were never just one style or stuck in a box. Their music is timeless & spans genres.
The Bee Gees have been making music for more than 5 decades. Also, I wish I could convince you to check out the Bee Gee's song "Bodyguard" (official video). You'll love Robin's smooth soulful Vocals.
Yes!!!!
That song is🔥!
They made hits in the 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's. They were so good that they could change their music with the changing of the decades and still have hits
Just wanted to give a mention to Andy Gibb the youngest of the Gibb brothers... He died to young at the age of 30 back in 1988 he was my favorite Gibb brother... Love his voice please do check out some of his performances
Everyone talks about Barry but Robin and Maurice both had powerful voices. Barry is still recording with his son's today at 75 yrs old.
Robin has a wonderful voice and it is so different from Barry’s that one should not compare them
They have 22 studio albums, 2 live, 4 soundtrack , worked and wrote for 15 others and released 83 singles. 29 top 40 hits, 15 top 10 and broke a record with 5 singles in the top 10. I believe 15 number 1 hits. They've written over 1,100 songs. None of them ever learned to read music.
Bodyguard... Robin so sensual in his soulful vocal
Sweetie, you will find them in the 60s 70s 80s 90s 2000s
The Brothers Gibb were the best. ❤️. So many great songs. I hope you keep going with them, you won't be sorry.
MUST watch the NYC live version. Yes...this is Robin!❤
There is another video of this song taped in NY with the twin towers in the background. This is my favorite Bee Gee song the next would be "One" which was released in 1989 the original video version.
The Bee Gees made music in the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, and early 2000s.
I recommend listening to ESP by the Bee Gees made in 1987.
You're not trippin. Steve Dahl and a lot of hard rockers tried and succeeded in wiping out the disco sound but little did they know that The Bee Gees surpassed almost all of them.
Not almost all....ALL of them.
Please check out Robin in "I Started a Joke".
Listen to You Win Again!
The one from NYC is my favorite ❤️
Their last Concert together was in 2001 but they continued working until Maurice died in January 2003.
These brothers made hits for over FIVE DECADES ❤
You have e to check out "Bodyguard",also 1997 One Night Only concert Maurice sings "Closer Than Close",
They wrote for other artist.
Dolly Parton,Dionne Warwick,Barbra Srreusand,Diana Ross,Celine Dion,Kenny Roger's etal.....
"
Happy heavenly birthday Rob and Mo RIP❤❤ Happy birthday Dwina❤
Another good 90s bee gees is “you win again”
Beautiful song!! Great Robin lead!! Several great songs from this Size album! Try Omega Man for a Maurice lead, and Paying the Price of Love is fabulous! Enjoy!!
First time on TV 1958 as boys Google it to youtube Yes they made hits for many years
Listen to Alone or You Win Again. Those songs really highlight Robin's voice.
The NY is a different video. It's great!
Robin is a unique soul!!! New York is the other video which a lot of people like better and so do I do. You should really watch that on under the Brooklyn bridge, with the then still Twin towers in the background. Would not mind if you do this reaction.
It's ANOTHER video...made in NYC.
Different style...try "Tragedy"... video made in studio is terrific.
And " I Don't Want to be Alone".
I think this is about Andy. They put it on their album in his memory. Found out watching an interview this so was written about Andy and Victoria Principle.
bee gees angela
Here’s another GREAT one where you can really hear Robin shine! “Alone”from 1997 ua-cam.com/video/DFMQTKnTMAA/v-deo.html
Barry & Robin both sound great as leads on Alone, as does Mo coming in for the 3 part harmonies!
There's a separate video filmed in New York with them under Brooklyn Bridge with the twin towers and skyline in the backround.
Love your reaction! Robins voice is amazing. Listen to Robin singing Oh Darling.
bee gees sensuality
Amazing Bee Gees
I love the Bee Gees, they have composed the most beautiful songs I have ever heard in my life.
I heard they wrote this for sweet brother Andy.
Robin really shines in this one... soulfully perfect...
With Barry under in the chorus ❤❤❤❤❤
It makes my cry 😢😢😢😢😢😢so beautiful 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Not sure how the rumors got started, but this was never written for Andy.
Love your reactions. You would enjoy Fanny be tender with my love. ❤
Mo never gets his credit he does all the instrumentation of their songs. Please check out man in the middle or closer to close. If you have not seen check out the friday night special of Nights on Broadway or to love someone original video. Mo will blow you away
Yes there is a video of this in New York, you just need to look it up, I think it's even better than this one, they are on the river with the city in the background, that one focuses more on Robin in particular.
Love your reaction. Robin is grossly underrated. You should check out his solo song 'Please' (concert 2003). This song was released and performed the same year his twin brother Maurice passed.
Watch the other video of this with NYC in the Background. It’s live on the beach! Robin kills this song!!! Dude...yes, Robin.
Their live version is soooo good, it’s filmed in nyc
Wow!!!
One of my fav. songs that goes unnoticed
Essa voz lindíssima é desse grande gênio da música mundial, Robin Gibb!!👋👋👋👋👋👋❤❤❤🇧🇷👍👍 maravilhosos Bee Gees!👋👋👋👋👋
They would probably still be performing if Maurice and Robin hadn’t passed away.
1993, for sure!
in NY we have a beach called "Far Rockaway" its beautiful like a Caribbean beach
than their 60´s music
BEE GEES HAD HIT IN 2001. REACT WEDDING DAY LIVE BEE GEES.
Patty- there are two videos of this song. One, the one you showed, and second one was filmed in New York City with the Twin Towers, the Statue of Liberty, and the Brooklyn Bridge as backdrops. It's just as impressive, if not more.Check it out. You will love it.
Another video live for same song was filmed in new york
You should watch their 1956 appearance !!!!
The NYC video is a whole different video and vibe. Look it up cause it’s worth the listen and view✌🏾
Just three brothers doing their thing on top of genius. The vocals, the instrumentation and the lyrics. It's a song lika a cathedral. You gotta check'em out with a track called 'Give A Hand, Take A Hand', out of their brilliant album 'Mr. Natural' in 1974.
This was the music video but there is also a live version filmed in New York.
Love Robin's voice. He did a solo album "How Old Are You" with title track released in 1983 and he is really good, lyrics are great & the video is so much fun! To hear Maurice in the lead (sometimes on solo albums, sometimes with his brothers) please listen to Wildflower, Railroad, Lay it On Me, and Man in the Middle. You will not regret it! I Love Maurice's lower range voice.❤❤❤ Great reaction!!
@rwilson7197 - Robin did several solo LP's that were quite popular especially in Europe & Australia. In 1969/70 during their split he wrote entirely "Robin's Reign" and the unreleased (since they got back together at that time) "Sing slowly Sisters". In the 80's he did several LP's, "How old are you" (my favourite from that was "Juliet"), "Secret Agent", "Walls have eyes" and later "Magnet". Also the beautiful "50 St Catherines Drive" which was released in 2014 after he died. He did a Christmas LP as well and wrote a symphonic piece "The Titanic Requiem" in 2012 which was played by the London Philharmonic.
