well said brotha.. I agree with your take on the new SX3 I own an SX2 and I make plenty of money with it. it's a tank it works well i bought it in 2016 brand new at guitar center. I'm not sold on Record box yet. I dig Serato I don't hate on any of them however why should I. buy an SX3 WHEN I ALREADY OWN AN SX2??!!? if I didn't own a SX2 then I would buy an SX3 BUT I dropped 1'000$ on my SX2 and it's still making me money sooooooo why spend another grand on a duplicate mixer.. one more interesting point. pioneer is all about flagship controllers and the SX series was originally gonna hold that title until the DDJSZ series came out.. (basically a larger version of the DDJSX3) but alot of DJs didn't wanna drop 1'800$ or 1'900$ in some cases on a heavier larger bulkier CONTROLLER that's basically an SX2 OR SX3 !!! (it's about getting into our pocket) meantime I'm still spinnin.. and still making a decent living at producing and playing great music for my clients. and that's what's important. as a professional D.J./entertainer and producer .. but yeah bro keep them reviews comin and your opinion DOES matter..
Great response Bryan! I think I'm in the minority here because I actually like Rekordbox a lot more than Serato. However, like you (and after watching this video), I see no reason for me to spend a lot of money on a new SX3 when I bought my SX2 in 2016. It's a rock solid unit that I've come to trust at any gig I happen to be spinning at. I love my SX2 and was only curious about upgrading to an SX3, if there were some new and exciting changes. I think you can get a few more good years out of your SX2.
Mario McQuay yep thanks man, I do like that DDJj1000 from pioneer that's really nice.and it comes with Record box. that's the only unit I'm actually considering maybe on black Friday at guitar center.
I bought one of the first sx2's out of the first 1000 built "included video and flip +extra fx" and I still love it! I almost bought the first one two days before... Now that was a good upgrade from the sx to the sx2... DVS, multicoloured pads, flip control AND BETTER SOUND CLARITY... PS I've been thinking the same thing since they started to put out dedicated record box controllers the 1000 is a great example and the AIO solutions. Cheers
Hey brother, I just purchased the SX3 today simply because, it has effx in the mic line and i was sold on that because I am not just a DJ I entertain on the mic at a family fun center. I was upset that the SX2 did not have this feature but I got by on it. I use to have the Rane 57 and it allowed me to to some incredible things on the mic that was really cool. In reference to the SX2 vs SX3 I do agree they didn't put extras in that would vet upgrading for your average DJ who just do weddings, clubs and or private events. Keep telling the real deal on your channel I like that and I will keep following. Big Ups!
Hey ! Thank you for your video :) I think this is not a necessary update. That's nice to have 4 color sounds (SX 3) instead of just the filter (SX 2) though... I love the fact that the DDJ-1000 has the CDJ wheel, which is insane! But as you said, we have to be dealing with Recordbox which... is more difficult to travel through for me. SO SX2 is good :)
DJ_RueBoi I'm hear you on that one I got real close to buying the ddj 1000 but wasn't sure about rekordbox si I end up just getting a pioneer djm s9 I gotta stay with Serato it just makes more sense to me
DJ_RueBoi yep agreed... my thing is if I buy pioneer hardware if u can use Serato on the hardware then I really don't care if they are pushing their Record box stuff... I'm not only familiar with Serato it's just an industry standard and Pioneer is obviously trying to change that but pushing their drug onto us as if we're all a bunch of addicts who need some record box Smack.. NOPE! ain't happenin..
DJ_RueBoi sorry brother like he said the writings on the Wall serato is on its way out if your a business why would you use a third party to help sell your products you splitting the profit pioneer now has they’re own software therefore they’re gonna have all of he best products now serato will continue to get products like the sx3 just to appease people
Da Chop Up fuckin sx3 is a big slap in the face with very few updates it's pretty much the same and to top it off with this one you cant swap out the cross fader easy like the sx2
I bought a ddj 1000 and switched over to rekordbox. Sorry cant do it. I tried. Rekordbox software is just not up to snuff. So trading my 1000 for a sx3.. smh
Sticking to my Sx2 and I added an Akai mini midi keyboard. I well mapped my most used functions and works like a charm. No need to upgrade. No meaningful changes.
Hi Cleveland great breakdown ! Which high level controller has the best varied effects & can they can be dually operated manually into the mix ? As im Dub / psychedelic minded when it comes to music
I just had to tell you, that I found your channel just because I'm thinking about upgrading from my DDJ SX2, to a 3. This is an excellent video that I find very helpful! Thanks man! Consider me a new sub. I'll be checking out your channel more often. Nice work and I love that DJ set up wallpaper in the background.
You make a very valid point. All of the innovation is going to the RB hardware. I’m a CDJ and a turntable user, I’m right now trying to decide to stay with Serato or switch to RB DJ (have a 30 day trial). I would love to see. At video and get your prospective on Serato V RB.
I totally agree with you about not necessary to upgrade from sx2 to sx3. Just wanted to mention that the dual usb hmm. In most edm clubs (fe bootshaus in köln) there is a short moment of silence in between dj's and an announcement of the new dj. I personally prefer that instead of the long intro's waiting for the actual music. Also they have a moment to set the settings on the equipment the way they like it.
I just bought an SX2 now that price has dropped (due to it being discontinued). The fact it has a user replaceable crossfader and the option to also use Rekordbox means, to me, it is a better option than the SX3.
This was really informative. Rekordbox is what I want but I don't want to give up serato. I want a larger controller and wanted bigger jog wheels. I think I'm going to order the ddjsx2.🤷🏾♂️
I'm bout to pull the trigger on a controller..but I want pro..type gear..it's my first one..what you think..I cannot make a decision..the prime 4 is taking to long I can't wait..
You sir, I could not agree with your assessment more. I have thought for a while that Pioneer was going to gradually do less and less for Serato. Why wouldn’t they push their product and give the best product for themselves. I look forward to your Rekordbox vs Serato video!! Btw, I subscribed. Keep up the great work!
CT I really like your videos but I wish you would have went a little bit deeper into the functionality of the DDJ sx3 the jog wheels are really stiff on my unit and I'm trying to figure out if they can be loosened up or not??? #PLEASEHELP #ASAP!
Thanks so much for your video review,it's very helpful. I currently have a Numark mixtrack3 pro but need more like the filter effects for my vinyl turntables. I'm hoping to get an sx2 for @$800 new. The sx3 starts around $1000+ so not worth it.
I bought the DDj1000 it had a crazy lag on the left jog wheel when i just connected it and started scratching ( i like to scratch a lot too). I thought it could've been an easy setting issue to fix but pioneer said to send it out to a repair location. No way I'm sending a brand new unit for repairs already. The Rekordbox software is something you really need to get use too , i only used it for a few days and it was starting to annoy me finding things. Also ordered the video plugin which i mix videos at a local gig and the software crashed on me 3 times that night. I cannot rely on a software if i'm ever doing a wedding ,sweet16, etc, etc. So i returned everything and now i'm thinking of getting the SX2 after watching your video. I know a DJ in radio who uses the SX2 and scratches too ( i mean al ot ). His cuts are nice and clean even with a bent fader but he too at times has issues with the SX2. i guess like every controller they seem to have issues. thanks Donny ( using wifey account to comment lol )
Hello dude, please give one advice on buying ddj 1000 or ddj 1000srt? Do you think that 1000srt works perfect with serrato, the same like one dedicated?( sx3, szx... I mean version only for serrato)
Good honest review CTB but, to repeat what the guy said below, the biggest upgrade is the ability to link 2 laptops via USB like the old flagship DDJ SZ. You may play solo but it is a major bonus for those of us who like to switch between DJs throughout the night. Besides, if you're using a laptop all the playback info is on there. So, for me, it's less important to have info on the jogs.
I get what you're saying but I think it just depends on your needs. I've DJ'd all over LA and I have never seen a SX2/3 controller in any club. To me, it's a personal set up. But it's not just about having the info on the jogs, the jogs on the 1000 are night and day better than the jogs on the SX2/3.
I hear you too. I organise quite a few private parties so the DDJ SX controllers make a great mobile semi-pro set up. To have 2 laptops set up is a great solution and means you don't necessarily migrate to Rekordbox for that kind of flexibility.
DDJ SX BEST CONTROLLER I EVER USED .. GETTING MY SX 3 SOON .. DONT FORGET THAT THE SX3 ALSO HAS 2 USB PORTS 2 PLUG IN 2 LAPTOPS WHICH IS GREAT ... CANT WAIT TO PLAY WITH MY NEW BABY
I agree. My prediction is they’ll release a SZ3 that is more like the DDJ 1000 but at premium. Im guessing around September it’ll be announced and sale late November. My prediction was right about SX3 hopefully I’ll right bc I’m tired of lugging around my SZ2. So much so I just started using my CDJ 2000s and S9 in single cases instead. Those little platters are hard to get down on when your preference is truly TTs. So Pioneer at least give us the CDJS. lol We shall see
I think it will should be more bigger I think the microphone should have sound effect one night with the DJ and one for the people and Moda Wheels over some the wheel is too close when you scratch it
I dont own a dj controler. But if i gone buy one. Then i think i gone good controler. Im not controler fan so dont realy dont care. All u need one that works for you. I had one of those i would not buy new version. I started with serato so. That is my choice of using it. I pay alot for that Sl3 wen just came out. So im happy what i got. My upgrate be rane new mixer. But review u did there. Respect bro.
I'm have been battling the same thoughts on my end. I have been using a dated DDJSX and the only thing I really ever want are good jog wheels. The ddjsz has good platters but the sheer size of the controller is too much for me. I was hoping that the sx3 would have improved wheels over the sx but that will remain to be seen. I do video mixing twice weekly so any video plugin would have to be as good as mixemergency. I would have already made the move to record box but I live in a serato ruled world. That 1000 looks and feels fantastic...hoping for a serato version or this old soul of mine will have to stay put for a while..
The SZ is too big. The SX series is a perfect size. I own both, the SX 1 and the SX 3. I was disappointed at their similarities, but I still bought the SX3. I bought the DDJ SX in Dec 2013. It’s was rock solid through July 2018. The left pitch control stopped responding to increase speed. (I plan to replace the pitch slider soon and use it for a back up and practice model). I would have loved the DDJ 1000 if it worked with Serato, but since it didnt I purchased the SX3 in August. I have used the quarter inch dedicated mic jack in the front of the deck, several times. Only used the dual sound card/usb feature twice. It was handy. I don’t regret the choice, but I really wish the DDJ 1000 was compatible with Serato.
Terry, I think your videos and your philosophy on software agnosticism is causing me to lean toward the SX2 for my main controller. In your experience, how does Rekordbox work on the SX2?
+James W it works perfectly on the sx2. You just have to remember the different functions because the button names will be different. Mostly the pad FX buttons.
I would like to know if you or anyone uses any device for the SX2 to get better output sound? Like an amp or something. Serato really improved the soundquality but it's still not as clear and punchy as other units. Any affordable, transportable ideas?
Never owned a controller. I’m looking at the SX3 cause it supports serato. Was looking at DENON controllers but they seem to have issues. Would like the pioneer ddj 1000 but only supports rekordbox. Anyway, should I get the sx3 or wait till something better comes along??
Borderlands808 don’t know if you made your purchase yet. The SZ is too big. The SX series is a perfect size. I own both, the SX 1 and the SX 3. I was disappointed at their similarities, but I still bought the SX3. I bought the DDJ SX in Dec 2013. It’s was rock solid through July 2018. Now that Pioneer have their own software as well as complete domination of the commercial end, if you want to cross platform, use anything but Pioneer with your Pioneer, it will never be everything you feel it should or could be. This will never change. Pioneer have been making, often ruthless moves (business decisions) to dominate the Dj equip market for longer than many of us have been spinning. Have a little dig into what happened to the SLDZ1200.. that’s all I’ll say.
Totally agree on the fact that it is a shitty update. If you use a lot of mics then you need a live sound mixer for getting all the inputs there. If you need the ability to switch Dj's then go pro and buy the SZ or SZ2. The rest is not usable on a real environment at all. On the other hand, Pioneer will never give Serato the best of the best for 2 reasons: they want everyone to move on to rekordbox dj and it is natural. On the other hand they dont develop the software, so they actually can't do a lot with the hardware if it is not supported by the software. At the end of the day, Pioneer is the worldwide reference on DJ equippment and they can do whatever they want with that. Personally, I rather get the Serato products (SR, SX, SZ) because they are supported by serato, rekordbox and Virtual Dj (haters gonna hate, but it is a really good software and it's got great capabilities) so I can Dj with whatever software I Want and anyone else that uses my hardware can connect it to their favorite software. Honestly, I think that hating Pioneer for not giving the very best for seratto is too much. They will support their brand before supporting anyone else. And for that person that said Serato doest'n need Pioneer... so sorry, but the market is dominated by pioneer, the best looking controllers are made by pioneer, consumers love the brand, prosumers love the brand and profesionals also love it. Deal with it, seratto needs Pioneer, at least for the new dj's that dont know a lot about this and want to have a pioneer product (which are a lot).
I’ve never owned any CDJ’s but I’ve heard they have had issues with jog wheels going out. Is this true and if so, I’m curious if this would be an issue with the DDJ-1000? Your thoughts?
hmmm. This hasn't been my experience with CDJs but it's possible. Of course, depending on how they are used / abused it's anybody's guess. They are built like tanks. I don't have any long term info on the DDJ 1000 but, my SX2 has never given me any real issues. I'm going to assume the same will apply to the 1000
I am sorry for Serato using for not getting what you want. I have the DDJ 400 and plan on getting the DDJ 1000. I don't know anything about Serato. I know some DJs who still use, and some went to Rekordbox. I know if you want to play out, you should see the DJ equipment is being used. On my first night gig, the venue used Pioneer CDJ nexus 2 and 900 nexus2 mixer. They run the Rekordbox system. If I weren't familiar with the system, I would have blown my chance for DJing there again. For years Pioneer has catered to various DJ software system for their hardware. They knew when they came out with their own, it was a game changer. Why share the spoils when you have it all. It is not right. It is not fair. It is good business. Until the game shifts, I will be a loyal Pioneer and the Rekordbox. I started with Virtual DJ, so it is only fitting that I use Rekordbox.
Well said, finally, someone telling it like it is. I really don't understand why serato tolerate pioneer anymore. Just draw up the battle lines and go to it. They don't really need pioneer hardware. Numark and raine offer top quality equipment, I use a ns73 myself and prefer it to the sx 1 I had that had really glitchy earthing problems with the left jog wheel. Time to bring pioneer down a notch I think. They're getting a bit too big for their boots.
dual usbs are a huge feature you didn't get to.. also the front extra mic in is TS which means un balanced therefore useless.. but i did order and just received the 3 its great.. sold the sx2 for 600 so not bad at all.. proper review is on my channel
Hmm. Actually I say it at 6:49. Did you watch the video all the way through? No offense but you are wrong on the TS sleeve. It’s not useless. It’s literally the right way to run a mic, which would be on a single mono line. Balanced is for running stereo inputs which on a mic would be useless.
Well said.....Surely Serato owe us an explanation as well though as their loyal customers they need to kick pioneer into producing the same controllers as rekordbox or put all their money into denon or equivalent.
Nice review! Definitely another useless update from Pioneer which seems to be their new trend. In terms of the DDJ-1000/Rekordbox issue, I'm one of those whom despite the fact that I'm in love with the DDJ-1000 which is definitely my next controller, I have a BIG issue with the fact that Pioneer DJ has taken the decision to force everyone onto Rekordbox, which I do understand from a business point of view, but I have an issue with the fact that they've taken away that option for me, and as a die-hard SeratoDJ user, this is a problem for me.
I'm a die hard Serato fan and the SX3 is a far cry from the 1000. The Mic channel and effects applicability to that channel plus the color effects should have been in the SX2. I think pioneer is purposely tanking the SX3, not other with the design, but with the hardware issues and recall they wont admit to. I bought the SX3 and it froze up numerous times and I ended up returning it. Just got the DDJ1000 and honestly the look and feel is great, plus it is a stand alone mixer! There are Serato midi maps you can create to use the DDJ1000, but these use midi and not the tighter HID data link. I plan on testing out these midi maps and using both Serato and Rekord box.
I completely agree with you. I have been thinking exactly the same thing. I own the DDJ-1000 and the SX3. I absolutely love the DDJ-1000 but like you, I’m not happy with Rekordbox. I used it on 30+ weddings but switched back to Serato for my last 30 weddings of the year. Rekordbox still has a lot of work to do. I hope to god that they come out with a Serato Controller with the CDJ jog wheels.
I prefer Serato. I needed a new controller so I got the Sx3 instead of the 1000. I think you’re right with pioneer. They won’t be bringing out any more new serato controllers.
After looking at both controllers I’ve decided to go for the Roland DJ 808. Gives me room for growth if I want to get into production and I don’t have to worry about Pioneer and Serato’s relationship down the road. Roland is a solid company.
Ryan J it’s a good board. Call me petty, but I couldn’t get passed the green and grey. That color ware does not work for me. It’s also a hair more plasticky than the pioneer but it’s still good. It has some great features.
Cleveland Terry Bowens Thanks for the reply! The color does some getting used too. I haven’t quite pulled the trigger yet on it. I’ve been happy since I’ve upgraded from my 62 to the 72 but but looking into a controller for small events. I mean I had the SX2 and SZ but find myself getting bored when I play on controllers. I guess I was just really hoping that the DDJ 1000 was going to be the SX3 but was sadly disappointed. I really don’t want to invest any more money into Pioneer gear when I feel that all they are giving Serato users is just enough to get by and no real innovations. At this point I might just keep lugging my 72 and PLX -1000s everywhere. I mean I didn’t pay all that money for this gear to sit at home and stay pretty right? Lol.
Awesome review and honest opinion by the way. I agree with you 100% on the SX3. Lastly another thing that made me SMH was that you can no longer replace the crossfader in the SX3..... don’t know how true that is but from what I’ve read that seems to be the case. I mean really Pioneer?
Ryan J that’s a nice set up you have. I have the same set but with an S9. I’ve been really lazy with my big set up. Only bringing it out for special occasions.
Ryan J I owned The Roland 808, Great for production The plastic Buttons Jammed for me and That Sucked, So i Got Ridd of it, i owns DDJ-1000 and its Solid All the Way Thru...The Rekordbox Software is a Bitt, -Extra This & That!!! but Hey... When u djjing, Turnup!!!🔊🔊🔊🔊😜Go Pioneer!!!!!
Just saw pioneer gear at the all star game on TV..meek mill was performing and his DJ was using the flagship decs.and mixer..DAM!!!!.I CANT LIE I WAS.like..dam that iah is nice..
As an owner of a sx2 I am totally disappointed with the update of the sx3, I think we were all waiting for something more towards the style of the DDJ-1000, pioneer tries to take us to rekorbox that is crap, PIONEER I WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO CHANGE FROM SERATO TO REKORBOX , UNDER ANY CONCEPT. I am in need of a driver with 2 usb tickets, and with all my disappointment I will buy a ddj sx3, I also do not like the denon 7000 and it is different in size from the sx2 so I would not enter my bosal pioneer and I do not want to invest in a new bag either. fuck you rekorbox
Hey what's up everybody the pioneer DDJ SL2 it need a bigger wheel so we can cut more better and scratch and new sound effects everything is too close together me more room so you can do your thing
Just give me the dammmmmm jogg wheels shitttttt rekord box is a deal breaker having to start all over organizing playlist and plus adding you’re loops and cue points it’s a fucking headache 🤕 dude can’t wait for your Serato DJ vs rekord box vid
That's why I ain't get that ddj1000 because I do a lot gigs with other djs an as you know everybody use serato , so for me to do that it's like messing up cats rotation
Numark need to come out with another spinning platter controller ....or come out with a v7 series again up dated...I PROMISE SPINNING PLATTERS WILL JERK EVERBODY BACK TO SERATO...Numark needs anotha desinger for they controllers too
+Llewelly Spinz mixtape videos Numark makes dope stuff. The problem with Numark is that I feel that they make truly disposable DJ gear. After they release a product they seem to stop caring. They don’t update their drivers unless they absolutely have to, usually after their buyers complain. #ontothenextone
How about Pioneer just buy Serato... Problem solved. All Serato and RB controller will get one update and they will open them up. Then stop support for both and make 1 final merged software. Or not, let RB ppl get access to all controllers and Serato DJ to pay $99 to unlock all controllers. Seriously nothing I want more then the DDJ 1000 to run on Serato, and I'll even pay extra for it!
@@ClevelandTerry seriously 🔥, I may just have to drop Serato due to it... But I'm addicted to Serato! I think I need help... Is there a Serato Anonymous?
Kirk Hammet if you still use it, it's still valuable. People still use the sx1. The sx2 is an excellent controller but you gotta do what you gotta do. 🤷🏾♂️
No pioneer is not giving you serato guys nothing you want the benefits of the ddj 1000 your gonna have to switch they ain’t giving serato no features from the ddj 1000 that controller is a beast and pioneer nailed and to be honest I think the software is better as well
Pioneer is the new Apple they most defintely full of shit the trying to get a monthly description like every other company that own majority of the market
Well said, finally, someone telling it like it is. I really don't understand why serato tolerate pioneer anymore. Just draw up the battle lines and go to it. They don't really need pioneer hardware. John Parker very true. The sx2 has been good to me when I’m not using my turntables but if I were Serato I’d rather be in front a break up then behind it. It going to happen whether they like it or not.
John Parker yes sir... they trippin. I do love my DDJSX2 though. and yes the SX1 was glichty but the SX2 WAs so well made that I think Pioneer GOOFED! because as controllers go it's the equivalent of the tanks of old.. the Techniques MK 1200s. which STILL HOLD IT DOWN! Pioneer trying to do some silly nonsesne but DDJSX2 gonna hang tough for a good minute.. same with the SZ series of controllers too.
Thanks for the video... I was on the fence about upgrading my DDJ SX-2 and your video helped me decide... thanks for the honesty.
im still holding my sx2 lmao
It's nice to have a dedicated mic input when your Emcee a lot! Thanks for the review!
well said brotha.. I agree with your take on the new SX3 I own an SX2 and I make plenty of money with it. it's a tank it works well i bought it in 2016 brand new at guitar center.

I definitely agree with you about the jog wheels
Hi Cleveland great breakdown ! Which high level controller has the best varied effects & can they can be dually operated manually into the mix ? As im Dub / psychedelic minded when it comes to music
I just had to tell you, that I found your channel just because I'm thinking about upgrading from my DDJ SX2, to a 3. This is an excellent video that I find very helpful! Thanks man! Consider me a new sub. I'll be checking out your channel more often. Nice work and I love that DJ set up wallpaper in the background.
Mario McQuay thank you man. Come back anytime.
Thank for you input t terry
Keep up the great work!
i guess it is quite off topic but does anybody know a good website to watch newly released tv shows online ?
@Liam Muhammad flixportal :)
@Hassan Houston thank you, I went there and it seems like they got a lot of movies there :D Appreciate it!!
@Liam Muhammad happy to help :D
CT I really like your videos but I wish you would have went a little bit deeper into the functionality of the DDJ sx3 the jog wheels are really stiff on my unit and I'm trying to figure out if they can be loosened up or not??? #PLEASEHELP #ASAP!
Thanks so much for your video review,it's very helpful. I currently have a Numark mixtrack3 pro but need more like the filter effects for my vinyl turntables. I'm hoping to get an sx2 for @$800 new. The sx3 starts around $1000+ so not worth it.
djantonio72 good choice friend.
That kind of honesty i love you just got one more subscriber Sir good job.
Jaime Silva thank you.
His cuts are nice and clean even with a bent fader but he too at times has issues with the SX2. i guess like every controller they seem to have issues.
thanks
Donny
( using wifey account to comment lol )
Damn. I am currently reviewing rekordbox for a future video review. I'm in your same boat. It's just annoying to use.
Bru i was bout to say, Lalocatv DJ's?!?!
Hello dude, please give one advice on buying ddj 1000 or ddj 1000srt? Do you think that 1000srt works perfect with serrato, the same like one dedicated?( sx3, szx... I mean version only for serrato)
I can't agree more ...realest dude ever.
Like how u keep it real my bro. Kudos to you. No Bsing about it's up to you to choose.
You're right about the jogs tho. The SX3 retails at the same price as the DDJ100 and Pioneer are definitely holding back some features.
DDJ SX BEST CONTROLLER I EVER USED .. GETTING MY SX 3 SOON .. DONT FORGET THAT THE SX3 ALSO HAS 2 USB PORTS 2 PLUG IN 2 LAPTOPS WHICH IS GREAT ... CANT WAIT TO PLAY WITH MY NEW BABY
DJ KRU KUTZ I acknowledged that in the video. I just don’t usually use my sx2 with anyone else when I’m gigging.
do not buy too many bugs
I like this one sx3 and sx2
So Pioneer at least give us the CDJS. lol We shall see
Tre Valentine that sz is cool but it’s so damn big. It’s basically a DJ coffin.
Always 100!!👍🏾
I think it will should be more bigger I think the microphone should have sound effect one night with the DJ and one for the people and Moda Wheels over some the wheel is too close when you scratch it
I dont own a dj controler. But if i gone buy one. Then i think i gone good controler. Im not controler fan so dont realy dont care. All u need one that works for you. I had one of those i would not buy new version. I started with serato so. That is my choice of using it. I pay alot for that Sl3 wen just came out. So im happy what i got. My upgrate be rane new mixer. But review u did there. Respect bro.
DJ Ray The One Aruba Yeah, I still prefer using my turntables but in some cases it’s just easier to use a controller.
Im just getting into djing so I don't have any alliances to any software yet. Maybe I should look into rekordbox.
Good I will keep my sx2 thanks for your advice
+Aldemar Rodriguez no problem.
If I had the SX2, then I wouldn’t switch until there is new and unique hardware. But if I didn’t have the SX2 (which I don’t), then I’d buy the SX3.
JERSEY- J great point and I agree %100. It’s a good controller, just not really upgrade worthy.
You never mentioned the second USB for 2 laptops
So on point Cleveland Terry! 👍🏼👍🏼
69 Sound 👆🏾👍🏾
Now that the DDJ 1000SRT is here, what say you?
+aalewis98 I have a couple of current videos on the newly released SRT on my channel
Biggest disappointment for me is the sx3 doesn't have an FX panels like the sx2 did. Does anyone know how to toggle between effects with the sx3?
DJSimonSchultz yup. Check my video on my Dj 1000 review.
can some one please tell me if i should get this or the ddj 800? they are both the same price.
Finally someone is having the same sentiments. The ddj 1000 is where it's at.. I own the sx2 I'm definitely not buying sx3.
So what you saying now. Since pioneer interested in serato. I think they threw a curveball.
Terry u definitely keeps it Real, High 5 To u 4!!! that💯💯🔊🚨✊💥
I completely agree with you. I hope to god that they come out with a Serato Controller with the CDJ jog wheels.
good, no BS review
good review!
Agree wow
Hey what's up everybody the pioneer DDJ SL2 it need a bigger wheel so we can cut more better and scratch and new sound effects everything is too close together me more room so you can do your thing
WHAT ABOUT THE PITCH TIME???????????????????
I’m still using an SX2. I won’t upgrade until I can get the SZ2
If that DDJ 1000 becomes Serato enabled I’m all over it.
Just give me the dammmmmm jogg wheels shitttttt rekord box is a deal breaker having to start all over organizing playlist and plus adding you’re loops and cue points it’s a fucking headache 🤕 dude can’t wait for your Serato DJ vs rekord box vid
Dude I felt the same way
That's why I ain't get that ddj1000 because I do a lot gigs with other djs an as you know everybody use serato , so for me to do that it's like messing up cats rotation
Dj.Young Ro I feel you on that.
That’s the truth
Thanks for keeping it real dude !!!
Word.
Joey Aman I agree but business needs competition. If it’s not serato, it would be traktor or virtual DJ or some new company. That 1000 is 🔥
@@ClevelandTerry seriously 🔥, I may just have to drop Serato due to it... But I'm addicted to Serato! I think I need help... Is there a Serato Anonymous?
Joey Aman have you used Rekordbox? I have tried to use several times and every time I go back to Serato.
I feel like the my sx2 is decreasing in value by the day 😧
Kirk Hammet if you still use it, it's still valuable. People still use the sx1. The sx2 is an excellent controller but you gotta do what you gotta do. 🤷🏾♂️
No pioneer is not giving you serato guys nothing you want the benefits of the ddj 1000 your gonna have to switch they ain’t giving serato no features from the ddj 1000 that controller is a beast and pioneer nailed and to be honest I think the software is better as well
ddj 1000 works with VDJ 8 .....can also go back to vdj
How do you deal with mixed media in Rekordbox?
some cheese with that whine?
+Anthony Russell I believe it’s called an opinion, and that pairs nicely with cheese and wine too
Pioneer is the new Apple they most defintely full of shit the trying to get a monthly description like every other company that own majority of the market
Sx2 all di wey
Thanks! I'm not buying that shit!
Pioneer DDJ-1000SRT for sale now?..
Agree
