Man, it just happens that yesterday I tried to use Fibermesh to make curves for exporting to xgen and almost gave up on it while fighting the strands especially in the 1-2 cm area near the scalp. And today I open the youtube and find your tutorial and you talk about better controlling the curves :))) what a coincidence :) and it is a really good one, thank you so much! :)
THIS IS how you make a Fibermesh tutorial... Man! I thank you so much for this. Finding useful Fibermesh info on the internet is tough! Yours is just AMAZING. Thank you so much!
I’ve been “combing” through every Fibermesh tutorial on here (and no, I’m not going to apologize for that pun) and this this is hands-down the best one I’ve seen. Totally on-point without any extra fluff and long-winded stories. Very VERY well done. I’m subscribing just based on this video alone! Thanks for your time and effort!!!!
WOW such a great tutorial on fibermesh. Obviously everyone really appreciates it. I actually saved this awhile back and finally re-uncovered it. Glad I did.
Dude I was going crazy forcing myself to sculpt hair from meshes because for some reason i thought fibermesh would be super alien to learn. You've made it sooooo easy for me to understand, I'm super thankful for this tutorial! Not to mention the brush pack is a life saver.
Thank you so much, this guide and your brushes have been a lifesaver. I'd recommend giving a little tutorial on the brushes as I had to play around with them a little bit to figure them out.
The most useful and crazy video tutorial about fibermesh ! You have almost answered about all questions that I asked to myself !!! Awesome work dude, you're a boss ! You saved lot of zbrush users lifes ! I suscribe right now ! Thanks for all !
Thank you SO MUCH! I really mean it. Fibermesh itself is a great thing but the standard groom brushes make me cringe, I never understood them. Finally you shed some light here. Thanks again!
This the first helpful fiber mesh tutorial I've seen in years. All I've seen so far are people who use the groom brushes and tell you to be patient with them and stuff. I've almost lost all hope in fiber mesh till I saw this. Thank you!
Is there a way to change the fibers after grooming? I already have a groomed fibermesh and want to replace the guides I have with wider ones that I can make into cards.
This was so incredibly helpful!! Thank you!!! and umm...do you think you can do a how to sculpt a man's face? I love the way you explain things, its fun.
Super tutorial - HUGE thanks. Wonder why many of the groom brushes are not similar to what you can do with the "normal" brushes? :-) Wonder if your bruhses also will work in 2019?
hi there, in the fiber mesh setting there is an option to adjust where the fiber mesh grows you can use the slider to put the fibers above the surface.
Harvey Lawrence well it's a long tedious process but yeah. you can convert bpr to geo then split by poly groups and retopo over every single mesh piece then bake it all to a texture :) or you can export the curves and use an outside plugin to convert some of the curves to polystrips
Try out Ornatrix. Its pretty intuitive after some playing around and getting used to. Easiest method of creating hair planes ready for your method of texturing. No tediousness at all.
Holy F Dude, you know what? you just got free market for your entire life , I owe you this technique, Fkn instructor doesn't even explain any of these sht, Holy F dude :V

This the first helpful fiber mesh tutorial I've seen in years. All I've seen so far are people who use the groom brushes and tell you to be patient with them and stuff. I've almost lost all hope in fiber mesh till I saw this. Thank you!

Did you just say it took you five hours!? SWEET!!

Wonder if your bruhses also will work in 2019?
I think its cause the guys over at Pixologic are Sadists haha
@@HiredGunGames if you ever find time I would be grateful if you could show how to make short dens hair for a dog
Hi, when i create fibermesh with "prewiev" button, how i avoid that the fibermesh grow even underneaht of the surface? Thanks
hi there, in the fiber mesh setting there is an option to adjust where the fiber mesh grows you can use the slider to put the fibers above the surface.
How do you then turn this result into a game-ready hair?
I go over that process here ua-cam.com/video/MzF8_nBQxhg/v-deo.html
Well look who we have here
Follygon well we who have look here!
here have we who look well
we who have well look here!
is their anyway to make fiber mesh hair game ready?

ummmmmmm, both sound... difficult, thanks a lot for the advice.
Harvey Lawrence no problem :) it's best to do game ready hair from the start. just sculpt polystrips and put a hair texture on them :)
Try out Ornatrix. Its pretty intuitive after some playing around and getting used to. Easiest method of creating hair planes ready for your method of texturing. No tediousness at all.
Bruce Wayne that's $500 :O
ONLY 5 hours?? That's a long time!!!!
There are grooming brushes in zbrush
they suck.
@@HiredGunGames true, one time i comb to the side, when moved the viewport to the side it became homeless's haircut
great tutorial! But I honestly hate fiber mesh, it took too much to have a decent result even you are an expert 3d modeling artist.
