It was a curved and double-edged like a kindjal , and 20 centimeters long, milky white in color and iridescent, and had a black handle with deep finger ridges separated from the blade by a slim round ring instead of a shearing-guard. Crysknifes are blades made from the tooth of a Sandworm.
Thank you for this friend! :) I have been a huge Dune fan for many years and am loving seeing the fandom and props *That paint job is GORGEOUS btw 🥰💯👍*
Brilliant! Your painting skills continue to be top-notch and you make it look much easier than it is, very impressive. I saw the licensed replicas for sale, but didn't want to pay that much. Now that you'ce shown the way, I'm going to make one myself. I have all the materials but need to buy a wood burner tool which is easy to find. Thanks!
Well I think I found the movie to ask my crush on a "date" to go see, anyway, this is an awesome looking knife and like whew that paint job, magnificent
Unfortunately no I won't be making the whole suit. But armored Heart did a great job using my foam and foam dowels to create hers go check her out on instagram
I don't use flat transparent covers it will kill the sheen of the metallics. on the blade I used vallejo gloss just to make it pop which is an acrylic based varnish which lots of paint brands carry those.
A friend gifted me an unpainted 3D print crysknife. I am wondering will this same paint technique work on the 3D print as it does on the foam? I have never handled an unpainted 3D print before
Question about the HD foam while I remember. I've noticed that since it comes in a roll, it's VERY hard to flatten it out. Is there something you recommend doing to flatten it back out? The curve in it causes me to mess up a little more than normal, as it keeps trying to curl back up. Even rolling it the opposite direction for a bit doesn't seem to do much. I'd like to use this foam more because it sands MUCH nicer than the the stuff from TNT (Though theirs is my go-to right now, and I love them lol), but it's hard when I can't seem to make it work with me.
It's a super simple fix all you do is add a little bit of heat to the opposite side and roll it the opposite way. The heat will relax the foam returning it to its original shape. I have stacks of the sizes laying flat in my shop ranging in size with 10mm on top, having it lay flat is easier to store and helps it flatten out

Dude, it’s really amazing how well you’re able to transmute foam into other materials through your sculpting/carving and your paint applications.

when it gets close to the release of the new Halo you should make a Halo prop like a Covenant Carbine rifle or the Magnum.
Love the work

How long and thick is the Knife?
Are you going to make the hole costume because i’m gonna do that and it would be handy to have a guide.
Unfortunately no I won't be making the whole suit. But armored Heart did a great job using my foam and foam dowels to create hers go check her out on instagram
Do you think coffee paint would be a good substitute for the yellow paint on the blade?
Up to you it’s your build 🙌 if it works it works if not at least you learned something
Hi I wanted to ask for alternatives of valspar flat for a transparent seal, since I can't find it in the market. Europe.
I don't use flat transparent covers it will kill the sheen of the metallics. on the blade I used vallejo gloss just to make it pop which is an acrylic based varnish which lots of paint brands carry those.
I dont have any aluminum rods. Would a steel rod be allowed at cons?
As long as its a small rod like that enclosed in a foam prop I don’t think you’d have an issue
A friend gifted me an unpainted 3D print crysknife. I am wondering will this same paint technique work on the 3D print as it does on the foam? I have never handled an unpainted 3D print before
Should work just fine 👍
@@SKSProps Thanks!

The remake was good, but the original has one major advantage...
An ending.

👍
i adore your video! I would be very happy if you rate our video of how we made a knife from the film Dune from an iron bolt.
