    Good information I didn’t know it was mandatory to be in it with children who have needs as well. I want to go overseas so I hope autism doesn’t stop that for my girls

    Thank you so much for this 💙 I struggle with mental health for years but when we moved to fort irwin it got worst and it seemed like nobody here really cared to help. I've been to inpatient care 3 . I wouldn't get seen at behavioral health on base because they were only taking soldiers so when I felt suicidal I made a doctor appointment and the doctor actually helped me and informed me about EFMP .. thank you for this video it helps me so much and gives me hope that I can be put somewhere and get the help I need for me and my family 💜💜.. prayers sent your way .

      So glad this video has brought you comfort, I definitely understand how dark it can be to be in that state of mind. Keep fighting to be seen, you deserve to be seen and get the help you need. Sending all the virtual hugs my friend ❤️🤗

    EFMP sounds like the Air Force's version for what the Army calls a 'Hardship Transfer'. For the Army, if a family member dies or is suffering from an injury or ailment, you can request a transfer but it takes time. Sounds like the Air Force is a little bit easier to apply for and takes less time. Alaska is considered overseas so there would be a reduction in pay as your stateside now. In my time, Ft. Hood was a primary hub for Armored Cavalry; the Big Red One for example. As I was a Infantryman, it would have been harder for me to ask for any transfer under any circumstances while It looks like Lalo isn't combat arms which is an extremely good thing; VERY smart Lalo. Stay the hell away from Combat Arms ANYTHING, especially in these days and times. I'm sure its been quite an experience moving but i'm glad to hear Patricia is much happier. When your stuff gets caught up with you and you get settled you will get comfortable again. Alaska is really for single people anyway, even in these days and times with the internet. COVID is really putting messing everything up for everyone. Hope your situation continues to improve and works out for the best.

      The “hardship transfer” sounds like the “humanitarian reassigned”. From what I have heard it is similar to what you mentioned, although I am not sure how long that takes.
      We are definitely excited to settle down, this whole living out of a luggage gets old fast 😂

      @@PVergara You should try 'living' out of a rug sack. Looking forward to seeing modern Ft. Hood. I have the 80's version of Ft. Hood (pre-internet) in my head.

    My wife just got her EFMP enrollment initiated end of last week for mental health. We were originally supposed to go to Japan. I'm hoping the enrollment doesn't take long as I'm supposed to pcs next month. I'm navy so not sure how different it is.

    Girl we are on our EFMP- Early Return - Overseas SCreening Discrepancy Report Process. We were never suppose to come to Japan and after a year and a half of fighting due to lack of services here in Atsugi Base for our daughter we just submitted the paperwork yesterday and my wife’s command sent out the message yesterday but I was wondering timeframe wise how slow or how fast does it work. Like what was your experience after submitting your paperwork. Any advice helps. Thank you

    • @PVergara
      @PVergara  2 роки тому +1

      It took about three months for us, during that time i continued to seek help and constantly ask for updates. Really pushing them to see my paperwork. Just keep advocating for your family and don’t let them take their time… the military has a funny way of taking their time, but keep pressuring them to see you, to be heard.

      @@PVergara thank you so much. We were seeing instructions and I think they have 10 days after submission to make a decision and than they can move us anywhere from 21-60 days. It is just difficult because I don’t know if they’ll actually take the 10 days or longer. This command is difficult and it seems like they try to push things back if they can. We are trying our best to advocate for ourselves but we are doing this process alone which I also don’t know if we should have a liaison or something or someone helping us in this process. I am just praying for the best outcome and I won’t stop advocating for us.
