For anyone who is interested/curious, here is an Insanity info dump. Just take mind that some of this is semi-canon, or speculative. So, Classic was experimented on with artificial DT by Gaster. However, the DT was corruptive, and Classic became Insanity, and killed the whole underground before Frisk (Chara) fell down, before they could do Genocide again. Insanity talks to himself and twitches often like a crazy person, but sometimes talks to worthy opponents or “allies”, such as Dust or Nightmare. He skewers heads in dominance. Skewered Papyrus would show the most dominance, as it’s his brother. Since Papyrus isn’t dust, this means Skewered Papyrus still has a soul, meaning he can be used as a boomerang with Insanity’s blue magic. Insanity can reform souls. Skewered Papyrus also has DT, so he can farm infinite DT off of Skewered Papyrus by reforming him technically. If Insanity dies, he’ll come back stronger, using all the DT he’s gained, as a one time resurrection. When he truly dies, the person who absorbs the DT gets corrupted by it as well. He can punch the human dead in a hit. The cracks in his head are from attacks. Considering this, it seems his hp and def never increased, but is just prolonging death with DT. Any timeline he’s in is considered glitched. Insanity is unbeatable, and eventually Chara’s DT drains, and Insanity has control over the timeline. He moves along to DustTale, where Dust finally reached LV20, ready to win against the human. Dust goes easy, dies, then kills Insanity once, and twice, then gets corrupted, becoming Insanity!Dust. From their fight, we can calculate Insanity’s atk to be up to 69,029, since he’s unable to kill Dust in one hit. After Insanity!Dust kills his Chara, he’s very likely to keep hopping across AT’s, very efficiently gaining LV. Other non-direct timelines of Insanity include being enslaved by Nightmare before he visits DustTale, being part of either the Villain Sans Squad or Murder Time Trio. Though in the MTT, he could just be a reformed character to fight a Chara he and the others already lost against. Pick your choice. The second one doesn’t really make sense to me. He’s what allowed Satsujin to revive for Phase 6 (and 7). In the Omniversal Crisis, he is recruited by Glitch and given a DT soul with Hate in it (so he can sustain the soul) and used to recruit Dust. He is called Wired!Insanity in this, where ReveX’s remixes seem most likely to be canon. UTOC derives off of the first (two) version(s) of Mirrored Insanity, where he appears to have a human soul instead of a monster soul and doesn’t have his DT corrupt Dust. Insanity is Nightmare’s strongest current slave, a very efficient and powerful, though not tough, Sans, with multiple gimmicks and a personality disorder, with Classic trying not to be insane.
I do like the first paragraph version of Insanity!Sans, i really do. But i honestly prefer the Zero Danteero canon version. I like him just being generally insane and being a lone wolf, killing off everything he sees or hears, it gives off more insanity vibes.
heres 100% canon info on where insanity comes from: created with a determination experiment by gaster, roughly after the 6th human had fallen. Kills anything or anyone that moves or annoys him. The red stuff on him is *not* blood, but infact, liquidised determination. same thing goes for papyrus’ skull. its being kept in constant pain and existance because of the determination bone. some of his weapons have taken on his characteristics. he can have bones, DT snapped bones, telekinesis and blasters. He rarely uses his blasters. he prefers melee. He *does not* use papyrus’ head as an attack. He throws it *away* before fighting others. He skewers formidable enemies with dt snapped bones. This would include Undyne, Asgore, and strangely enough, Papyrus. He whispers to himself, never talking to others. He apparently has no ‘common sense’ as it was removed from his brain. When in context, it’s supposed to mean that he wont listen to his victims pleas of mercy. He still knows whats going on and enjoys doing it.
He wouldn't be able to farm infinite DT from the head, if he reforms it with his own DT, then he'd have to waste DT to make it again, it'd be a useless cycle of wasting and gaining DT, and I'd imagine it takes more DT to recreate his soul, the fact that he only needs to die twice to be killed, and if you just trap his soul, or don't absorb it, you win, then he's pretty beatable, especially if he was beaten by dust in mirrored insanity, also in Omniversal Crisis, unless I missed something, glitch killed insanity and had dust absorb a determination soul, not the other way around, so the dust isn't related to insanity aside from battling him, if the soul was insanity's or not really wasn't confirmed- and I'm not sure if the Wired!Insanity statement applied to Omniversal Crisis or to this track. But the fact that insanity has already been beaten by dust, wouldnt that make dust nightmare's strongest "slave"? And going back to the satsujin phase 6 and 7 bit, dust is also able to revive, so I dont see how its insanity alone that lets them revive, plus there isnt a phase 6 and 7 in the official version or UTOC, I couldnt find a phase 6 or 7 anywhere- thats all.

Skewering his bro would be the greatest showing of that, as it shows his lack of empathy. Plus, Papyrus’s soul is in his skull, so it’s probably easier to manage. Papyrus is also the strongest non-Dreemurr monster (aside from Insanity of course), so maybe that can also factor into something.

I don’t know if it’s intentional, but I love the cracks in the Mercy button. It makes me think that while Chara is still trying to do Genocide (of course, Insanity kills everyone before they fall) and would have no Mercy button, Insanity is just so difficult for them, and they’re trying to beg for mercy, thus is why the button is kind of reforming. I like this remix a lot! While I found it strange that it didn’t have as many quiet parts as the others, I then realized that those quiet, whiny parts were just behind all the banging. The banging I like to think is Classic trying to escape the corruptive artificial DT that is: Insanity. Also, the hard rock parts are just too good, even if I don’t think Insanity needs them. 😆

It amazes me, because I remember seeing this Au all the way back in 2018-19 when it first popped up, and when early 2020 came along with the first Dust vs Insanity video, I was not only brought back with my interest towards the game, but also both Au's including the new one, and since then with more and more updated versions of his theme, a fusion between the 2 killers to create the ultimate murder. I'm surprised that it's been 2-3 years since you've started all this, it's incredible.😁👍💙

It amazes me, because I remember seeing this Au all the way back in 2018-19 when it first popped up, and when early 2020 came along with the first Dust vs Insanity video, I was not only brought back with my interest towards the game, but also both Au's including the new one,
and since then with more and more updated versions of his theme, a fusion between the 2 killers to create the ultimate murder.
I'm surprised that it's been 2-3 years since you've started all this, it's incredible.😁👍💙
