The term NASCAR applies to the sanctioning body, not the race cars themselves. The cars are usually referred to as "cup cars", "stock cars", or just simply "stockers".
As someone that’s not from the US I agree with what you say but if you say “stock car” no one is gonna know what are you talking about. But if you say NASCAR it’s a completely different story
Hey they built this car just for this might be original motor and they rebuilt it so it's like it's brand new. We still use old 80s 70 and late 60s Chevy 305 and 350s they are a dime a dozen for racing almost every local track car that is a built motor class with steel block steel head is one of those years motor rebuilt for racing so age doesn't matter at all when rebuilt
I'm jus glad that in the street stock class at the track I go to you can find at least one car al.ost sounding like this. When cra was in town most of the field sounded like that
That’s what a stock car is. Damn the sound, the movement, the quick speeds, the power…and then we have nascars current 550hp overly downforced highly speed restricted corporate controlled computer ran driver assisted…”stock cars”…
Nope the F1 V8 wasn't that great compared to the V10 era they just didn't. The V10 was a shrieking monster the V8 just doesn't compare to the V10 at 20 thousand rpm.
Nope F1. is shit. A lot of people don't even watch f1. F1 have never had viewership compared to Nascar, NHRA, or Indycar. These days none of the racing leagues have viewership worth anything.
How to win over an American racing audience: be a Dale fan, do this
This absolutely worked and I’m already a F1 fan. 🇺🇸
You just can't beat the sound of these old cars!!
Could see his huge smile In that car
Right the way he was kicking that back end out looked like a blast
That’s awesome. DO IT FOR DALE!!
Hell yeah brother!
RAISE HELL AND PRAISE DALE!!
And he actually drove it and didn't just baby it nice job
Danny Ric is the man!! Just out here in the US living his best life!!
The look of those 80s cars were the absolute best

yeah but do more people know them as stock cars or nascars
As someone that’s not from the US I agree with what you say but if you say “stock car” no one is gonna know what are you talking about. But if you say NASCAR it’s a completely different story
Sweeeeeet ! So good to see that car again. Do it for Dale !!
Thing sounded good
I would kill to drive one of dales cars I wanna make a replica of one of his monte Carlos if I ever get the kind of money I need lol
So glad Danny rich got to do this
How good is that V8 decades later?
More like three or four decades later, not quite that old.
@@TheMNrailfan227 The 8 in V8 is referring to how many cylinders in the engine, not how many decades its been.

That g body is out of this world. Chevy.
Given the events of the past few days I would love to see him do this for real.
i love that car!
He full sent it for Dale I can respect that...🥺
DO IT FOR DALE
0:14 best part
Can't beat that old school NASCAR sound
I'm jus glad that in the street stock class at the track I go to you can find at least one car al.ost sounding like this. When cra was in town most of the field sounded like that
Cue the music:
"I've had, the time of my life...
And I owe it all to you!...
Zac Brown!!"
This Is Awesome
Clarkson: that V8 MODOR
And it does sound just like a NASCAR I was dreaming about.
Would have been even more cool to have Jr. there ....
I was waiting for this!
Great ... but can we have more without all the tight edits and running time less than 1 minute!!!
He probably feels like he’s moving in slow motion compared to the f1 car
wow
Epic!
That’s what a stock car is. Damn the sound, the movement, the quick speeds, the power…and then we have nascars current 550hp overly downforced highly speed restricted corporate controlled computer ran driver assisted…”stock cars”…
Nascar has always had the best sounding cars to be honest, v10 f1s are also good but I like these more
Stock cars second best engine sound after the V8 F1s.
