We had just picked a 2014 170 and got it home and kids took off with it and ran threw tank of gas but had to keep choke on at idle even when warmed up and wouldn't idle. This farm boy knew that wasn't right. thanks to this video and your carb video on giving the quick info I needed on how to set the carb. The carb was all out of wack and put it back to factory setting and now the unit runs like a top!
I just want you to know this has been one of the best videos that's very very clear, understanding, and gets straight to the point thanks so much tremendously helpful.....wonderful job
I've been trying to get my sons running since it warmed up here in Northern MN with no luck at all, replaced old gas with new, did an oil change, and replaced the solenoid with still no luck and really no idea of what to do next, but after watching your video I am eager to get back to it and get it figured out with a new check list of things to test and try. Awesome video, well explained and filmed, thanks a ton for taking the time to really show where things were and how to access them, that definitely saved me some time. Definitely a sub and like, wish me luck! ✌
Mike this was a very well done video. You went through everything. I have an 09 rzr 170 that I have been working on for my grandkids. Im not great with electronics but learning a lot. The parts of relatively inexpensive so I have replaced almost everything, if not everything already in it, including fuel lines. It was running well, went for a long drive and it died, then wouldn't start again. I've even removed the fuel tank and cleaned that out well. Im lost now and not sure what to do. I will perceiver this summer. I have subscribed
Great video. I’ve got the Polaris ranger 150 and can find almost no information on maintenance. This video helps move me forward to solve my waffle square. Greatly appreciate the time you spent.
Awesome, thank you for the link to the manual!! My 170 Starter staying ingauged until I remove the negative battery post...now I know where the starter relay is 😊

Anything special to replace the starter? That be a cool vid too.
Very simple to replace. Two bolts and a nut holding on the positive wire. I bought this one from Amazon and it works great: amzn.to/3Qvx1lD

My 2009 RZR 170 has the same symptoms. A dry crank and doesn't start.
Hope this video helps!

I don’t know.

Tyler you are very welcome. Thank you for your kind comments.
Is this stator from Amazon the one you installed? A review says it didn’t fit?
I did not replace the stator. It tested fine. I included the link in case a viewer’s RZR failed the test I demonstrated.
