Install font on Windows 7/8/10

This video shows how to install new font on Windows 10.
Note: The steps are similar for Windows 7/8.
1. Download new font.
2. If it is in zip format, extract the file. You will see font file (.ttf).
3. Right-click on the ttf file and select ‘Install’.

im trying to install DTM-Mono and it says "cant install" and "is not a valid font HELP ITS FOR A PROJECT!!

You may need to login as administrator. If you already logged in as administrator, but still get the error, try using online font converter and convert the font to ttf format (even if it's already .ttf) and install the converted font.
