I’m 81 years old and fished since I was able to, this video is the best explanation of winter trout migration I have ever seen. Congratulations on your venture.
Yw sir! A buddy has taken me on as a student in a way , now that I’ve moved closer to the coast , and I’m so grateful.. he encourages your vids and CA’s stuff of flats class .. so far I am learning a ton.. have a blessed 1!
Good luck down here. You can try Bon Secour. The bite has been really good in there this year. You can also check out our Patreon page, it shows you where we catch each fish in there and has a pretty good breakdown of Bon Secour.
Thank you for our expertise. Much appreciated. Will follow your guidance on trouts. New to fishing and having a hard time find those trouts. Just subscribed.
Thanks man, hope the videos help you on your journey. Speckled trout fishing can get pretty addictive once you start to put the pieces of the puzzle together.
Very informative ,, watch all your videos ,, learn a ton :) I am trying to learn more about bay ,, boat dock & river fishing ,,, one of my favorite things to do is night time trout fishing :)
Another awesome video this information is like gold. Are you pushing all the way upriver from the river shack launch or are there closer launches for paddle craft?
Thanks man! I like both launches. Fishing is better in Rabbit Creek but Halls Mill creek is closer to dog river so it just depends on what I feel like my game plan should be.
Valuable info here man- Much appreciated! So I’m the dead of winter when the water is the coldest and we’re deep up the creeks, would we be looking for deep water or shallow water?
Is great to have someone in the Mobile Bay area explaining this fishing patterns along these rivers. Best wishes to you & your channel.

First time viewer, new in area, staying down the street from McNaly Park. Very helpful information. Hope to hook onto some fish.
Good deal man, there’s some good fishing right there in Dog River. I got some good breakdowns of that area over on Patreon.

Great info and exactly what I’ve experienced over the years

Another awesome video this information is like gold. Are you pushing all the way upriver from the river shack launch or are there closer launches for paddle craft?
Thanks brother! There’s a kayak launch on Riviera Du Chien Rd. Follow the signs there and you’ll end up on Halls Mill Creek.
Good stuff. Do you prefer Halls Mill Creek Landing to launch or Schwarz Ln? For safety in addition to putting you near the action?
Thanks man! I like both launches. Fishing is better in Rabbit Creek but Halls Mill creek is closer to dog river so it just depends on what I feel like my game plan should be.
Great video man !!!
Thanks bro!!!
Ready to snag em with ya!!
Let’s go!!!
Great video, how did you pan out doing the hurricane? Keep these great videos coming.
Thanks brother! We did ok just a few shingles missing.
@@southernsalt That’s great news, my family in New Orleans is out of power and they do not know when they will get it back.
Hope their doing alright and get power back soon
Valuable info here man- Much appreciated! So I’m the dead of winter when the water is the coldest and we’re deep up the creeks, would we be looking for deep water or shallow water?
You should definitely focus on the deepest parts of the creeks but don’t be afraid to fish shallow. Early mornings they will pull shallow to feed.
@@southernsalt Good to know. I always figured the deeper the water the colder so I’ve actually hurt my chances by not looking for enough deep pockets.
Heading to Mobile and I'm thinking about bringing my skiff and hit the bay this Thursday. Any suggestions where to go?
Thanks man
Thank you for the support brother!
Maybe I can catch them in Pelican Point
water temp cooling down - trout heating up
Yessir!
