The montage of Fez talking to Lexi about what he wants in life and it cuts to him knowing he can’t have that because he’s about to go to jail for his brother...that broke me
I don’t think the show is going to get rid of both fez and ash, I feel like it’s all going to be pinned on ash, and fez may go for drugs for a few years. I heard the next season was going to be a time jump but I don’t think that makes sense since they would be graduation soon
He just wanted a farm w some animals, talk about a pure dream. Also yeah, I think there'll be a time jump, especially since Rue narrated at the end that she was sober for the rest of the year.

This part was heartbreaking. Fez is genuinely a sweetheart. He’s just caught up in the drug dealing. Lexi is so good for him🥺 maybe Fez will see Lexi and Ash death as a reason to leave that lifestyle for good. I know people in real life who went to jail for a couple of years due to drugs, minimum offense can be anywhere from 1-10years… here’s the thing tho…Fez had the knife in his hands!!! He might get blamed for the murder. That might add years or possible parole. I just really want him to end up with Lexi 😭 and have a freaking farm LOL
@@larissa1770 that's what has me so sad too! 😞 Fez is a sweetheart and pretty much just fell for Lexi and I know he can't have that life because of his lifestyle but maybe he could 😭 . Hopefully Hopefully Ash doing that makes a lot of the charges die with Ash (I have a theory I think Ash did that because he didn't want Fez to take the fall). And then Fez maybe gets 6 months or something and gets out and him and Lexi live happily every after 😀. And Rue is sober! Hey maybe this show could have happy endings for some of the characters
Faye blaming Laurie for Mouses death was so fucking smart. I love her so much for it - because of this Fez might be able to cut a deal with the cops to help take Laurie down. And this will tie in with Rues and Lauries plot.
And this episode made it clear at least for me that Fex/Lexi/Rue could be the most powerful trio next season. The girls will be there for him. Especially Lexi. I bet they sang "Stand By Me" together for a reason!

I don't hate Faye or anything, but I can't help but think if she just warned them before s**** went down no one would've got hurt - or they at least could've avoided a raid situation.
And also in the first episode when Fez told Laurie he trusts rue with his life

Rue’s little kiss on the forehead for Jules was more of a goodbye. She is taking Ali’s advice and trying to be single, separate herself from Jules and Elliot even though she cares for them - it’s what’s best. But Laurie will come try to get her next season.
I highly doubt the last part unless police just don't care about drug dealers anymore. Faye literally gave Laurie address and everything to the cops, u really don't think they'll investigate. idk but when Faye was pointing the finger at Laurie I was like that takes care of the Laurie problem.... hopefully🤞🏾
@@kekethe1st i would hope they could pin it on laurie but idk how well that would work. faye did not /literally/ give the address for laurie to the cops, she just said out loud that laurie killed mouse, but i think it's pretty clear if ash was shooting at the cops he did *something* pretty fucked up. i mean they can try to pin it on her again next season, but cops won't arrest laurie without some substantial evidence that she did it.
true, I know she won't go down for the murders but Faye did say "Laurie you know the drug dealer that lives in the apartment complex off (some street name I can't remember) so at the very least the cops know she's a dealer, I just don't think they won't do nothing with the knew info they have but who knows..... honestly I'm just hoping the cops looks more closely to Laurie so she will lay low n leave rue alone
@@kekethe1st sadly I don't think there's really much the police can do. It would mean having to rely solely on the words of "violent drug dealers" with ZERO evidence, not even circumstantial. If anything, if Laurie catches wind of what's going on she may end up relocating her business. And coming for Rue would be even more of a surprise if no one knows where Laurie is or thinks she's gone into temporary hiding. Considering she's gotten away with kidnapping and sex trafficking for who knows how long, I can't imagine a couple of teens calling her a dealer is going to be enough to take her down. Rue better hide.

@@shannontaylor7236 that’s actually really true but I feel like maybe fez knew ash would get violent and try to win and it wouldn’t go any other way if he stayed which is why he was trying to just get him out of there at whatever cost but I’m not sure

One of the things that really hurt was that Fez was dreaming of a life with Lexi. Three kids, a normal life without the dark world of drug dealing. And you could see him mourning that life the moment after Ash kills Custard and Fez looks down into the sink with despair.
Elliott’s song felt like a loop whole that wouldn’t end. 💀

Rue said in the first episode of this season that Ash would go to war for Fez 🥺 I think his fear of abandonment came into play when he realized Fez would go down for it
I have a theory why Ash acts so erratically. He does not seem right in the head because he was probably affected in the womb by the drugs his mom was taking. Similar to fetal alcohol syndrome. That has an impact on mental development, temperament, the fetal brain.
This. Also the fact that he grew up in a world or violence, drugs and death, where emotions werent really discussed or opinions asked. All he knew was violence, and especially after Mouses death, he pretty clearly darkened.
why would we just assume that he has brain damage? lol. also growing up around violence does not mean you don't know any other way. I grew up in a home with addicts and abusive parents who were violent toward us and each other, all kinds of unsavory visitors, but me and my siblings were alright. not perfect, but alright. growing up around violence is one thing -- becoming a murderer yourself is an entirely different story

But its been scientifically proven that using drugs and alcohol during pregnancy affects how a childs brain works as it affects chemical balance, and the baby is often born as an addict. And yes, some people can grow up in a shitty household and turn out fine. But in Ash's case its different. He grew up with a drug lord as a motherly figure and a brother that he wasnt biologically related to. His home was always on about drugs, business and death, where problems were resolved by beating up ppl or killing ppl. Their grandma loved them, but didnt show a good example on how to live life. And not to forget that Ash's had to take responsobility of the business just like Fez when they were kids, as after Grandmas stroke, Fez became the parental figure. Not to forget that Ash also seemingly dropped out of school, so his friend circle circles in business and addicts.
@@groffsauce454 I'll just say again, that no one makes you a murderer. not to mention, fez himself would not approve, and has not done the same, so the fact that ash is just out here killing people left and right is a serious problem, and not one that you can just wave away as "oh he grew up in a bad environment."
@@jamesliggins891 No it's not just the environment, it's really something I learned from my friend who is a social worker and works with these types of difficult kids...An overwhelming majority of these kids that have a tendency to be violent are kids whose parents refused to stop their meth consumption when they were pregnant. At the very least i believe it's a scientific fact that these kids are likely going to suffer from schizophrenia.
It's not far fetched to assume that Ash has a personality disorder because of drug abuse by his mom. He was left at the doorstep of a drug dealer as a baby.

I feel the ending mirrors season 1 ending when Jules leaves Rue for the sake of her mental health. This time Rue is leaving Jules for the sake of becoming sober for HERSELF. I hope this means they’ll reunite stronger than ever in the future, whether it’s as friends or a couple.

There were hints that Ash was always a little too violent. Like when he was beating Cal's head in even after Fez told him to stop.
Can we talk about how happy, clean, and healthy Rue looked? I think the conversation with her mom and Lexi’s play opened up her eyes. I hope she stays clean during season 3.
She said “I stayed clean all through the school year” talking in past tense meaning after the school year ended she might not stay clean :(
@@hollie5099 but then she said "I don't know if this feeling will last forever" and talked about what Ali said about trying to be a good person, and that she is trying. Which to me indicates that she is still clean.
I hope she stay clean too at season 3.

rue not saying anything to jules was her setting a boundary because she knows that the way she feels about jules can effect her sobriety. so it's safer to keep her distance from her, at least for now.

Ash's death scene... I'm traumatized and speechless. I'm broken.
My respect for faye 📈. I hope she becomes more of a main character in s3. She seems very smart when sober (atleast more sober than before) and I feel like she may be the one that can help fez get out of jail

People need to realize ash is literally TRAINED TO KILL, he doesn’t know how to NOT protect his brother.
Shooting at the cops doesn't protect Fez, though. It's a death sentence for everyone in the house. I blame the writing for Ash not knowing that ... bc people not even into gang life or drug life still know that
@@ambriaashley3383 ash was trying to be seen as a huge threat and a violent person so fez would have a better chance with the law. if ash was the one shooting at the cops and murdering everyone, then fez has a better chance in court. obviously fez won’t be let off the hook but it wouldn’t be as bad as if fez just took the fall from the start

Ash went out like that bc he knows he would rather die protecting Fez then to lose him in any way . I’m praying it’s a plot twist just bc they didn’t show his body falling . At the same time tho Fez having to watch that will never be the same for him . They can pin it on Ash if Fez goes down but idk if Fez would do that .

It’s the relative calm before the storm that’s about to rage next season
If you watched the special episode for Rue, there was a part where Ali asked another NA member about being in a relationship while trying to get clean, and she said "I had to not be in a relationship in order to focus on my sobriety." And i think that's what the last scene with Rue and Jules was referring to. Rue's silence wasn't out of anger or resentment, it was her way of saying that she's choosing herself and her sobriety.
💯THANK YOU! Someone finally gets it. I’ve seen so many comments saying that hopefully Rue gets back with Jules in the near future, and I’m just like… WTF🤦🏾♀️😂. People who are saying this clearly did not get the point of this entire season. But you did an excellent job summarizing this👍. Rue and Jules ARE NOT meant for each other. And that’s okay. What really hurts is how Ash rather die than continue a life without Fezco in it.

Lol, I know Elliot’s six minute song got a lot of hate, and I get it, after fez and and ash killing someone, and Maddie and Cassie getting into it, the song does drag on a bit, but I thought it was a beautiful scene too

They were talking about the play before the play cause in the bathroom scene from like the third episode Lexi said she wanted Rue to read the play
@@summerwest124 yeah as in “I can see myself in these words and the writing”. When you read something that impactful and meaning full you see it in your mind as you read it. It’s the only explanation as too how that scene could have been in the play
The conversation happened after the play and it's definitely a metaphor. It means that the play for Rue ended when she and Lexi rediscovered their friendship. The play is partly reality and partly symbolic, it shouldn't be taken literally, scene by scene.
Towards the end when she says “I don’t know if I’ll feel like this forever...” she’s referring to being on a pink cloud, its sorta like being on “cloud 9.” newly sober people sometimes experience a pink cloud , a feeling of euphoria- quite literally. love watching you guys by the way! gonna miss Sundays
I think ash was terrified with what was gonna next and with what he did. It was a “fight or flight” situation and sadly ash always chooses fight
I think the scene between Lexi and Rue happened before the play because back when the idea of Lexi’s play was introduced she asked Rue to read the script! It’s one of the most honest conversations about addiction and mending friendships
I was confused about the timeline towards the end when Lexi & Rue were talking but I think Rue was referring to reading Lexi’s play. She asked her to read it before hand
Nah, Lexi absolutely didn't let Rue read the script before hand. The play should not be taken literally, it is largely symbolic, partly reality and partly Rue's fantasy. The last scene is a metaphor about the fact that the play allowed Rue and Lexi to rediscover their relationship.
As Lexi said in the phone call with Fez, the play is about friendship. To be more precise it’s all about Lexi's friendship with Rue. The first scene of the play ends with Lexi saying "at her dad's memorial, I realized that drugs were a greater comfort for her than I ever could be", while the last scene ends with Rue, sober, and Lexi, comforting each other. This is how and when, in Rue's mind, the play truly ended.
Rue didn't read the play before hand. When the idea of the play was brought into the show its because Lexi copes by disassociating from her life and looking at it through a theatrical lense. I think that's what that scene where Rue and her are hugging on stage at the end of the play represents.
I agree with you that Lexi did have Rue read it beforehand. BECAUSE of her talks with Fez, I think Lexi realized how truly personal aspects of the play. And there would be a fear of triggering Rue to relapse

The way Rue mentioned she stayed sober the rest of the school yr. Makes me think something happened after she graduates. Either Lori catches up to Rue & ends Rue OR Rue relapses & ODs. From the beginning we've seen Rue narrate the show from her perspective. I think Season 3 might be the last season. 🤔💭😭
A lot of people think that Ashtray shot Fez, but if you slow down that section of the episode when Ashtray first starts shooting, it's actually one of the cops who accidentally shoots Fez because he is momentarily disorientated from Ashtray shooting

I just rewatch the entire scene in slow mo n normal pace & in slow mo and in both it looks as if the bullet came out of the cops gun with that being said he did get hit in the front but if u look closely it looks as if he got hit in the side of his stomach not fully on the side but not fully in the front either so the bullet could have definitely came from the cops gun but either way it's definitely ash fault for fez being shot
the scene of the messed up hallway is a reference to the scene where young Fez saw lil Ash for the first time. And it broke me......

I like how nobody is safe on the show everyone gets their karma sooner or later because everybody is selfish. Last season was a lot more fun and excitement this season was a lot more sad and people went through a lot of despair🥺🥺

I think that maybe Asthray was Asperger after all like Rue said, he was extremely intelligent for his age and a clearly emotional intelligent deficit, that could explain his reactions facing stressing situations killing people without any doubt
I love that Elliot's song was written by Labrinth and Zendaya with the guitar played by Dominic. Cool to see them collaborate together, tho it felt like his song got more screentime than Kat this whole season.
Faye was one of those characters that makes you like them when you didn't expect to. I love how she portrayed that even with addiction and whatever else she went through you can still have loyalty to those that had a heart when they didn't need to. You can tell she really thrived in Ash and Fez's hospitality. I hope if there's a season 3 that she also is shown grieving and/or helping Fez with losing Ash
Y’all are seriously goated for these Euphoria reactions. The finale was satisfying yet really sad because there is so much more story to unpack and I just hope S3 is a little more narratively focused. I’d give the finale a 7.5/10 🔥

I am not really upset about Ashtray murking Custer because I feel like that should've happened when he killed Mouse to begin with why would you leave behind a witness? and then when Faye was throwing out the trash and Custer was there he said that the police were already setting their sights on Fez and Ashtray and that's why he was helping them out.
I have no idea why Faye waited around in that house. my ass would have been gone. weren't the cops already looking for her anyway?
@@jamesliggins891 if you mean when she first found out Custer was helping the cops well it was clear from then she wanted to tell Fez but remember Lexi was there. If you mean when Fez was getting ready to head to the play well she still hasn’t told him and by the time she did well they were already at the door that’s why she was backing away from it slowly because she saw on the monitor they adjusted the cameras. Also more than likely the cops/SWAT were already out there from the moment Custer got there and they were waiting to hear something incriminating to let them bust in. Custer being silent (due to his death) must’ve been reason enough or they heard his odd breathing from when Fez was covering his nose and mouth to finish him off. Sorry for the long explanation

Thank you guys again! Amazing reaction, my heart broke for Ash as well. God, you could tell how powerful he felt shooting round after round, but the final shot of the laser slowly trailing up to his head showed nothing but fear in his eyes. I feel for him. He had to spend in last moments in fear, but I really pray Fez and Lexi get more time next season. I can imagine Fez will need serious help after all this and I hope Lexi will be part of the journey, also I’m so proud of Rue you guys, I remember a couple episodes back when you guys stated how much of a dick she was being and it was true! She was not being very nice, but now, holy crap, she’s turning into a better person. Proud of her!

I literally cried so hard. It’s crazy because I predicted to my friend that he would most likely be the one to pass. Everyone thought that it would be Fez. I feel so bad for Fez.😩

ash was just a kid :( he deals with threats in the only way he knows which is violence. he can’t see a life without fez so he immediately kills anyone who comes close to harming fez like a fight or flight response. ash did all of that with the cops so he would be seen as the violent one who killed custer, especially bc he shot fez (even if it was accidental.) ash sacrificed himself so fez could keep going. he wouldn’t know how to live without fez, he had no one else

i say it all started with rue, cause fez threatened nate to leave jules n rue alone n nate call the cops of fez n got raided. then mouse came and all that happen. i feel like thats whats gonna happen for next season rue is gonna be in debt with laurie and fez isnt gonna help her out
15:15 Maddy needed to slam Cassie's head like 4x more since Cassie's brain is clearly very scrambled. Maybe a couple more would have straightened her out

Kool fact, the song that Dominic (Elliott) sings "Little Star", was actually written by Zendaya and Labrinth.
This episode was heartbreakingly good, as usual. I'm wish we didn't have to wait 2 years for season 3 though. Anyway, it was a crazy season in the best way possible😊
exactly. she realized the moment jules and elliot were both in her living room so silent after he snitched. this is also why she stared at jules in her face and said "you're dead to me" she def knew they had something going on between the two.

If you rewatch the scene where fezco gets hit with a crowbar in the first episode of season 2, there are flashes of occasional images and one of them is ashtrays face right before he dies.

The fight scene had me genuinely crying laughing. The carousel music cutting in and Cassies SCREAM with Maddys "she needs to be put down" and chasing her with Kats constant "Maddy! No no no!" AND BB FUCKING ROOTING HER ON AS SUZE SCREAMS FOR THE CURTAINS TO CLOSE. It was the funniest part of the show I love this so much

The scene where Rue talks to Lexi about the play was after she read Lexi’s play. Because if you remember in the bathroom scene where Cassie break’s down Lexi asked Rue if she could read her play and Rue said yeah just send it to me. So Lexi changed the ending of her play to match what happened to her and Rue before the play.
