- Climate advocate and former U.S. Vice President Al Gore delivered an impassioned keynote address that elicited a standing ovation from the crowd during the 2024 All Campus Commencement ceremony on Saturday, June 15. Speaking to UC San Diego’s tremendous legacy and ongoing, innovative contributions toward resolving the climate crisis, Gore called on the Class of 2024 to employ their talents and skills to help solve the climate crisis in whatever walk of life they choose to pursue.
