I know Im asking the wrong place but does any of you know a method to log back into an instagram account? I somehow lost my password. I love any assistance you can give me!
Bought his custom brushes and I am actually pretty impressed. There's such a difference between the different types and it definitely helps out in different situations.
what the heck at 1:55 the thin line he drew looks like the side of a face it takes me forever to get that shape right, and he goes and does it accidentally.....
You could create online courses Jazza! Something like "from zero to professional illustrations" you know. The way you share your knowledge is too easy to catch and fun at the same time! You have two talents! The first it's pretty obvious. And to other one is the gift of teach! It's always a pleasure to watch your videos. Thank you buddy!
this summer I am gonna try learning how to draw properly, got a playlist going of a lot of tutorial vids I hope I can get at least a bit better than I am now, thank for all the tips Jazza
Overall the series is set up to help artists successfully create digital artwork. The program he uses throughout the series is Photoshop. We are shown the effect of using a line with variable weight due to pen sensitivity which is one of the most impactful features that can not be done with a standard mouse. While Jazza demonstrates drawing lines over a sketch we are given very valuable tools. One of these tools is an understanding that when we sketch we should bring in more details then we need and save the construction lines. After creating a sketch that we are happy with our next step is to create a new layer. This is the refined lines layer. At this point we are committing to specific lines and simplifying the design by removing the construction lines and some of the extra details that are not necessary to get the point across. This video gives you the fundamentals to get you started with digital drawing and includes some bonuses like not overworking an image. I found this video a while back and I have worked this into my workflow by creating my sketches in photoshop and pulling the sketches over to illustrator after I have the basic shapes in order to create a clean detailed vector graphic.
Hi Jazza! Thanks for this useful vid! I'm precisely working on a line art project, so this tut 'fell from the sky' to me. Now I'll put on practice these techniques. Have a nice day!
Awesome tutorial, Jazza. Just a quick little tip (you probably know this already) but instead of putting a blending mode (multiply) on the Stylistic Outline layer, you could just make the Fill 0% :D Keep on making awesome content!
I think the thing I need to do more than anything else is just DRAW. A LOT. I vaguely remember being pissed off when I started doing cartoony stuff on paper because my lines were always all bumpy. Now it's second nature, and I can achieve a smooth, crisp line without thinking. I need to practise linework digitally now, as I started my first piece literally just today and I'm experiencing exactly the same thing.
Maybe this will further help: Thicker lines are good for indicating distance or a big angle, for instance when you draw your chin in front of your neck area, you can use thick lines to indicate a gap. Thin lines are more used as a refinement for details.
Jazza, can you please make a video teaching how to deal with ponytails? With short and long ones, in different positions. You would help me very much! Thanks!
Wonderful work as always Mr. Jazza :) This is actually going to be pretty helpful for me, on account of that I bought my first drawing tablet recently, so thank you so much!
I do amazing linework on traditional work, but when it comes to my tiny 50 dollar wacom tablet, I cant get the lines right without working on them for a long long time, I'm trying to improve these skills by watching videos and playing with my settings and lining multiple sketches. Thank you Jazza
Thank you so much for this. I had an idea about how to apporach this method. Now I am sure of how to do it after seeing this. Good explanations on why you choose the lines. It makes me think better. Great video. I just subscribed
For those looking to make a stroke of white or another color than black, go into the Layer Effects, choose 0% Fill and then add stroke. This will take away all previous pixels but keep all layer effects
Great video Jazza. Do you know which of the kyle t webster brush packs that clean comic brush is in? I just purchased one from his website and it wasnt in the pack i bought. :( Thanks in advance
Don't worry, drawing in the computer is hard in the beginning. You need a lot of patience and practice because It use to be frustrating. So keep practising and watching these video tuttorials.
Lol, yeah, I didn't really think about how difficult it would be to do digital art. But I'm gonna start practicing again. Hopefully I won't suck AS much as I did before XD
Hey Jazza, amazing video, as always. Just wanted to ask you, if you can, please, throw me a link of those custom brushes from Kyle? I tried to google it by myself, but I noticed that he has quite many of custom brushes packs, and I don't know which one includes this "clean comics" brush. Thanks m8.
Jazza can you make a video about shading in having a very hard time is it my supplies I'm using some normal school supplies a tiny eraser a grip a normal pencil is it my supplies or if not can you make a video using school supplies on paper please
do you recomend more the intuos or the bamboo for doing comics? btw thanks a lot for all of your videos, so easy to understand and useful, a lot of talented people don't know how to teach others, again thank you
+Planeta Calvo thanks a lot for taking your time! Yes when I have the money I will go intuos! I'm actually a tattooartist but comics are more my passion, and also drawings I want to evolve as an artist so your input on my question is just on point! Thanks a lot!
This is a simple routine I've got going on: I see a Jazza video which incites me to draw. I draw for a while, but in the end I give up since it looks like sh**. Fast forward a few weeks later, I see a Jazza vid and I start again. XD great video btw
Hi Jazza. Another great video. Shading etc is something I've always struggled with. Would you be able to to a tutorial on how to draw mechanical devices / robots / cyborgs? I'm trying to design some myself but wondered if you had any suggestions. Cheers Andrew, UK
Draw with Jazza I've never really understood the shapes that you do in the shading process, for example on the right arm of the character. I would never be able to do that myself, could you perhaps expand a bit on that subject? Cheers
Hey, Jazza! Great video as always. This was exactly what I needed to see right now too! When I draw on paper, I mostly draw in sharpies in this exact way. I have a tablet now and so I can start doing that in photoshop, and this video showed me how! Thank you very much for the video. One question, though. I looked into the Kyle T Webster brush sets, and I can't seem to figure out which set has the "Clean Comics" brush. Would you have any idea which one it's in? I guess he doesn't list the names of brushes included in each set.
Hi Jazza, I've tried to use some Kyle's brushes (tools) and I have noticed some lag issues during the drawing, is that normal? Thx again for all your work, it is great!
Hey Jazza I looked up Kyle T Websters brushes and found out that they are paid brushes and while that is absolutely to be expected and the prices are not really expensive I am not in a position where I can spend much money so I was wondering if you knew any alternate sources for free brushes? thanks for your time.
When are the competition results coming out? I'm SO eager!!! :D This is great by the way, so nice of you to spend your time doing this. People pay for this kind of stuff!
I am actually a begginer in drawing, i use to "copy" a drawing by placing the ready drawing nearby my A4 and just "watch and sketch" characters in whatever pose they are represented on the official scetch. However, even though i can "copy draw" pretty well,i can't actually draw a character, or whatever i want to draw,on my own without copying it from a ready drawing..Should i start from the basics of body and character anatomy and its fundamentals? And how am i supposed to get better at scetching on my own at whatever pose or situation i want? By repeating the fundamentals on different poses?I am kind of confused on how i am going to get improved and how i should start...
As a textile artist . Dimension are really important . If give you a paper sketch which is 2 inches in broad 4 inches long on paper and you make it digital but dimensions will only be 100*260 px can you make that?
Does you think you could use to at least one video this software: Sketchbook Pro (paid version). One can make animations (option => flipbook). Because I will use it. BUT YOUR VIDEO IS awesome. Question : Is 'anime studio' (software) is good for animations?
Do you have any advice on adjusting brush settings? I use gimp (yeah I can't afford PTS or PS...) and tried to make a linework brush with simple pressure sensitivity, but it doesn't really react the way I want so I don't use it
What is the best way to get a drawing made with Ink and Copic ( so already colored and finished), to look more Digital when proceded to Photoshop ( or Any)
I love you videos, I fell like they are slowly making my become a better artist :-D, I would like to start drawing digitally but I broke my laptop screen and my parents are hesitant to buy a new one and it's been 3 months -_- 😩
Jazza, I need a little help here... I am trying to draw comic books in photoshop and the brush and the pencil lines look really weird... like they are pixeled or if they were bitten off when I zoom in (does it make any sense what I am saying?) I cannot make them look as refined as they way you show in your videos.. I keep trying to adjust the settings but somehow it doesn't work!!! Thanks!!
i cannot look up at a screen and draw on a tablet thats below the screen and out of forward vision. for some reason brain cannot make the connection . a vid on this would be most beneficial and appreciated.
"All of these things apply to paper and pencil drawing"... "Now we are going to use the magic wand tool."
NoahCrawfish nice
These called Fundamentals
(Pewdiepie voice): Whaat? You don't have a magical wand? What are you? A barbarian?
Magic does exist for real!!!!
I know Im asking the wrong place but does any of you know a method to log back into an instagram account?

what the heck
at 1:55
the thin line he drew
looks like the side of a face

***** I noticed that too when I saw it. Guess it has just become muscle memory for him by now.
+Gracie Vaughn LOL ikr?
Gracie I was just going to comment that.... 😂
Gracie the other one is like a simsons face
Gracie SAME!

He's the bessssst
5 years later. Skillshare
You make it look so easy.
He’s been doing stuff like this for years, he is a professional, make sure you don’t compare yourself too much to him since your here to practice.
He’s videos are soo boring 😭
theworld begoinup have you tried any of the newer videos?
@@Pinkshortcake15 naw lmao his videos are boring tho but I’ll watch his new ones I only had to watch them cuz my art teacher makes them
For all other foreigner that didn't quite understand the name of the brush creating artist: It's Kyle T. Webster, not Quality Website. Silly captions.
HoriusLearns ToDraw thanks man!
Omg he just uploaded 5 minutes ago for me *tears* I'm so happy.
Darn, Jazza makes it look SO easy.
This is the best/most helpful channel every thank you so much
You really are a professional. And the best thing is that you can explain how you do the things you do!
My fav time of the week is when i sit down to watch all of the videos Jazza posted that week. I adore your work, thank you for amazing videos.
this summer I am gonna try learning how to draw properly, got a playlist going of a lot of tutorial vids

don't expect to be an expert at first try, nobody borns learned, and drawing takes a lot of practice. Never give up, improve yourself.
this is the most important tutorial from your fundamentals series, should have more views.
SUPER HELPFUL. Thank you! Great tips seriously. LIKE IT!
I've been trying to figure out how to do linework shading properly, thank you for this!
Hi Jazza!
Thanks for this useful vid!
I'm precisely working on a line art project, so this tut 'fell from the sky' to me. Now I'll put on practice these techniques.
Have a nice day!
Omg the lines on the arm are not random and you actually drew the muscle with red lines.. whaaaat. You're just too good. I can't even.. 😭
Draw with Jazza This vid was great. I've definitely learned a lot from watching your tutorials. Thanks!
This video is exactly what I have been looking for! Thanks, Jazza!
your videos are seriously helpful! I cant thank you enough for your work
Jazza, you are awesome. I so can't wait to start practicing this... Thanks so much man!
Awesome tutorial, Jazza. Just a quick little tip (you probably know this already) but instead of putting a blending mode (multiply) on the Stylistic Outline layer, you could just make the Fill 0% :D

This guy is too good an artist for beginners to watch...
I really enjoyed this video. Thank you!

i should re-play this over and over again ..... thanks

The contrast is strong with this one.
I really love your tutorials. Are very helpful. Thanks a lot ^.^
watched this as soon as UA-cam told me it was up =D thank you Jazzaaaaaaa

I'd totally buy a comic book from you if you made one Jazza, loving this style!
Great video Jazza. Do you know which of the kyle t webster brush packs that clean comic brush is in? I just purchased one from his website and it wasnt in the pack i bought. :(
Thanks in advance
Jazza is like my father if my father was Australian and knew how to draw.
Jazza is nothing like my father.
Amazing tips on perfecting line work. They will make such a difference and I can't wait to put them into practice. Thank you! :-)
thank you for this
Guys wouldn't a comic from jazza be awesome?
Think of a writer, illustrator combo like in bakuman.
I feel really stupid. I spent $100 on a Wacom Intuous and THEN realized I suck at drawing on a computer.
Don't worry, drawing in the computer is hard in the beginning. You need a lot of patience and practice because It use to be frustrating. So keep practising and watching these video tuttorials.
I dont think pineapples have the capability of even making moolah
Lol, yeah, I didn't really think about how difficult it would be to do digital art. But I'm gonna start practicing again. Hopefully I won't suck AS much as I did before XD
Just a Pineapple you think your drawing suck? I thought so too.
+Thabang Innocent
Aww, how sweet.
Thanks m8.
Where can I get those photoshop brushes?
you have to buy them in the jazza store
Jazza can you make a video about shading in having a very hard time is it my supplies I'm using some normal school supplies a tiny eraser a grip a normal pencil is it my supplies or if not can you make a video using school supplies on paper please
I would like to know which set of brushes do u use for rough sketches and final line work in Adobe Flash.
Jazza... is there a link to the brushes you mentioned at the beginning of the video?
Aedonix they are on this site: gumroad.com/kyletwebster
but i don´t know which pack to download.. guess i´ll go with the megapack then?

Wow i learned so much in just 16 minutes :O
Your lines look so shiny and thin, mine look so weird when i draw!
Nice job!

Jazz what kind of software do you use to draw with your digital tablet
Because I am getting one as well
Hi Jazza.
Another great video. Shading etc is something I've always struggled with.
Would you be able to to a tutorial on how to draw mechanical devices / robots / cyborgs?
I'm trying to design some myself but wondered if you had any suggestions.
Cheers
Andrew, UK
Thanks a lot ! Really helpful !
What are the dimensions of your drawing ?
I laughed when he said "Old geezer" XD
Jazza can you suggest some free line-art/comic brushes for drawing ?
Draw with Jazza I've never really understood the shapes that you do in the shading process, for example on the right arm of the character. I would never be able to do that myself, could you perhaps expand a bit on that subject?
Cheers
this has changed how i look at digital art on a fundamental level
Hey Jazza, I have a question. How do you use that line weight so well? Is it just muscle memory, or is there a good way to master it?
After the fundamentals, you should do some painting tutorials on both digital and traditional. I'm taking drawing and painting and I want to kick ASS
Hey, Jazza! Great video as always. This was exactly what I needed to see right now too! When I draw on paper, I mostly draw in sharpies in this exact way. Awesome !!!
Hi Jazza, do you know if you can still buy Photoshop CS6? Because I can't pay every month for Photoshop CC.
Hey Jazza :)
Can you tell me which brush set the brush you use for linework is from?
That'd be great
When are the competition results coming out? I'm SO eager!!! :D This is great by the way, so nice of you to spend your time doing this. People pay for this kind of stuff!
He said they'd be 1.5 weeks late
I am actually a begginer in drawing, i use to "copy" a drawing by placing the ready drawing nearby my A4 and just "watch and sketch" characters in whatever pose they are represented on the official scetch. However, even though i can "copy draw" pretty well,i can't actually draw a character, or whatever i want to draw,on my own without copying it from a ready drawing..Should i start from the basics of body and character anatomy and its fundamentals? And how am i supposed to get better at scetching on my own at whatever pose or situation i want? When u was drawing mega man were did u get the markers and what was they they called
As a beginner artist I'm asking, can you make a getting started material video.
When will the cotm fear results be uploaded?
Do you have any advice on adjusting brush settings?
I use gimp (yeah I can't afford PTS or PS...) and tried to make a linework brush with simple pressure sensitivity, but it doesn't really react the way I want so I don't use it
Hello can I ask you ? what type of drawing tablet u r using
3:01 the contrast is strong with this one
lol have a 21$ huion tablet I got off amazon and it works amazing, i love it
Does using tablet with screen differs much from one without? Or is it just the matter of getting used to it? Love your vids btw :p
ahhhhhhh so amazing!!!!!!!
What is the best way to get a drawing made with Ink and Copic ( so already colored and finished), to look more Digital when proceded to Photoshop ( or Any)
Do you think using black outlines is bad? I always use them.
They say it sticks out. But then again, I like the comic book style of black lines.
Have you tried using specific digital painting software? Like Krita or Manga Studio.
Those are both fine, but if you can afford Photoshop, get Photoshop.
IMO, Krita>photoshop.
Then again thats an opinion
What was the name you gave for custom brushes? Also I can't afford photoshop, I use gimp instead.
Why is it that you teach me more about drawing in one video than my own drawing teacher does in 4 weeks?
Has he ever made a comic book? It would be so cool !
I love you videos, I fell like they are slowly making my become a better artist :-D, I would like to start drawing digitally but I broke my laptop screen and my parents are hesitant to buy a new one and it's been 3 months -_- 😩
YA! The Bamboo!
Jazza I need help drawing hoods will u plz do a vid on it
Very good tutorial. But... this is really useful in traditional drawing?
if you guys dont have a tablet, pen tool with shape dynamics are your best friends.
So how do you know where the shadows have to be..?
Jazza, I need a little help here... I am trying to draw comic books in photoshop and the brush and the pencil lines look really weird... like they are pixeled or if they were bitten off when I zoom in (does it make any sense what I am saying?) I cannot make them look as refined as they way you show in your videos.. I keep trying to adjust the settings but somehow it doesn't work!!! Thanks!!
At the end of the video, didn't you miss to add the animated version of your cartoon to match your narration ? going through the annotations.. ?
+Draw With Jazza can you send me a link to where i get copic markers in my country caise i cant find it please Jazza you're my hero
Jazza's Ink Brush :D If ya know what I'm saying
i cannot look up at a screen and draw on a tablet thats below the screen and out of forward vision. for some reason brain cannot make the connection . a vid on this would be most beneficial and appreciated.
