Squid jigs are designed with sink rates in mind 2.5 jigs sink at a rate of 5 seconds per meter of water 3.0 and 3.5 at 3 seconds per meter count the the seconds to the depths of water your in or start working it just before the bottom. With the price of squid jigs ripping out the weights just isn't a great idea when they work fine out of the box. Their is also unweighted jigs you can buy for doing the style of squiding you guys did here. I hope this helps you in future mate keep up the great work

@@ianswonderfulworld5974 a friend of mine turned up one day with them and I laughed saying how’s that going to work it’s not going to sink then it clicked put it on a dropper rig. I think it’s a dtd jig. For where you guys are fishing and your style they will work great. Maybe try a 1.8 jig with out the dropper too and remember to get it moving before the weed so I think Mornington there is 6m at most so you have roughly a minute for it to drop before it gets to the strike zone

    Great video
What depth do you think is optimal for your dropper rigs?
