    I'm very excited to have found this. Not only is this a fantastic plug-in (that is offered on a donation-basis!), but you spent the time to provide a fantastic walk-through!! Very, very rare kindness and effort indeed! Thank you!

    This is great. Sounds like pure early 80s if you set it up right. MIDI control works perfectly. It was the final touch I needed. 👍🏻

    I owned the original Trident Mark one and this softsynth is a very very good replacement for the real one . The original had no midi or cv / gate only control sockets for the filter , sustain , volume etc etc . It was a very large heavy beast . I midifitted the Trident with a Electroservis kit and sold it months later and now very happy with this Full Bucket . Thanks Björn !

    I still have the original hardware Korg VC-10, this emulation sounds very good -- Actually it seems to sound sharper and clearer than the original! -- One thing I didn't like in my hardware VC-10 was that it only has 16 bands (and that's why it sounds a bit muffled). I hope this emulation has more than 16 bands so that robotic voices can sound more understandable. In the real VC-10 I always had to add a bit of white noise and let a bit of the unprocessed voice pass thru so that some consonants (especially the "S"s) could be audible. When I got my first software vocoder every word sounded much clearer, so I stopped using the korg hardware VC-10. I'm going to download the fbVC and try it, because I'm hoping that Björn took it one step further and it will eventually sound sharper and clearer than the original, with the advantage of having the same controls and lay out that I'm already so familiarized with. Many Thanks in advance to Björn, your synths are the best freeware I've ever found, (better and lighter on CPU than many payware!), the fb 3200 is Fantastic, as well as the 3300 and 3100 ! 😊😎😊
    P.S.: Just downloaded it and yes, it is a 20 band vocoder and much more! 😊

    A perfect sounding and powerful tweakable Vocoder! Sorry, i am not smart enough, but how's the setup to use a EXTernal carrier signal in Cubase? In Cubase the basic setup is: 1) Generate an audio track, put FBVC to an insert. 2) Generate a Midi Track, route the output of the midi track to FBVC. Now you can use the internal sound generator as a carrier. I looked the video again and again, but i cant figure it out how to get an external carrier...

      Im assuming you mean the midi return track right? Make your midi track without any instrument and in the i/o under output choose the track that has your vocoder on it. Underneath it there will be an option that says fbvc so select that and your midi is routed to the vocoder track. Just open the vocoder now and follow this tutorial

      you have to set up a separage midi channel and turn it off (mute) put the chord in it that you want, then hit play and then on your vocal track with the vocoder, change the "input" to the name of your midi track (which remains muted).

      Unzip and place into the correct VST Folder. 32bit or 64bit versions should have their own seperate folders.
      For example, if on windows - C:\Program Files (x86)\VSTPlugins\ could be for 32bit vst plugins.
      C:\Program Files\VSTPlugins\ could be for 64bit vst plugins.
      VST is usually C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\ for 64bit VST3 plugins
      I hope this helps or gets you some way to solving your problem.

    I can't get the KBD function to work. Sonar X3 doesn't seem to be recognising FBVC as a midi output. I simply can't rout a midi track out to it. Any tips? The Noise and Analysis function works fine, but I can't get any love from the KBD function, either by using a keyboard or just programming something in piano roll view.

    • @FullBucketMusic
      @FullBucketMusic  3 роки тому

      I do not have Sonar so I cannot help you here... maybe someone else could jump in?
      Anyway, MIDI data should be *sent* to the track holding FBVC... it does not emit MIDI data but consumes it to produce an audio signal.

      Try this. On the FBVC's "VST2" dropdown menu (top-middle), choose "Enable MIDI Input". That should work.
