Papi Chulo saturation or distortion. You need to utilize the upper harmonics. If the 808 doesn’t have anything prominent above 300hz, it’s not really gonna register on the phone. Look up frequency response for phones, you’ll see the EQ curves they have and what registers etc.

How do you make your 808 be heard on phones? Make a video on that
