Every time some one asks me why Vinnie is my favorite drummer, I always show them this! And it's funny to watch how they always have to pick up their jaw from the floor afterwards. 😀 Only thing is, I wish he would play over the backing track like the original. Very, very cool!
Thank You for this pleasure! This was my very favourite video when I was a teenager! But somehow once and ever since I couldn't find it, only solo excerpts... Now thanks to You, I can enjoy it again! Thank You!! 🙏🤟🏻
Neil did what most can never do. Its not just rudiments, and odd meter BS, he wrote the entire Rush catalog lyrically, while not being a singer. Theres not many humans walking the earth that can do that and be a world class drummer. Vinnie could never do what Neil did, and he would be the first to tell you that. Facts.
My guitarist and I were hanging out one day watching videos of great musicians. He’s not at all a drummer, but nevertheless he turned to me and said “is it just or me or is it the case that whatever sound the glasses dude produces with a drumset is just automatically disgusting?” I told him yep, pretty much
No wonder the drummer is looking at the monitor mixer guy, he is missing beats all the time because he can't hear properly. Imagine being in the audience, after you buy the ticket to this accident of a gig.
You realize that Vinnie knows exactly what he’s doing here on the drums? He explained it in a separate video, how he listened to different mixes, and came up with this particular song and odd rhythm, which he admitted was both a joke AND all in 4/4 time! He’s one of the greatest drummers and musicians ever, and has been for around 50 years. To think otherwise demonstrates a lack of awareness of this kind of music. No, you probably don’t want to dance to it. You should instead listen deeply to it. You may not understand it, just as I will never fully understand most of what Mahavishnu Orchestra did back in 70-72. But I still can appreciate and be amazed at the musicianship of those great players, in the same way I always appreciate but could never play like Vinnie.
One of the best drummers ever!!! Amazing album from this song.
This is by far the single greatest display of technique, creativity and accuracy I have ever seen by any drummer. VC is THE man!!

Vinnie! What a monster!
Amazing vinnie
This is incredible
That track is smoking
Vinnie the best
Also, the drummer wrote this tune and that's how he wrote it.
✨✨✨✨✨✨
Peart the best ever??? Haha 😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆

Never liked Peart or Rush. VC is a far better drummer and performed in more interesting musical contexts.
@@Patriot-x8y utter bullshit. 🤣🤣🤣
Love Neil, Love Vinnie and the others...but when I think about, drums, none of them but Buddy Rich
@@DavideF-g3v Vinnie and Dave do

I agree. On top of that, the guy with the glasses is skipping a lot of beats, which makes this music unlistenable.
@@MeAndTheBoys_ you’re a troll
Hoping you guys are trolling 😂😂😂 Vinnie is the master of displacement, what you call skipping beats 😂 nice troll. You guys almost got me.
