Thanks a ton! I'm always trying to make small technical improvements where I can. I'm also looking forward to winter :) Cheers and thanks for stopping by!
A new Sub! Have been following Xander for 4 or 5 years now. It is a nice change to see a couple out sharing the beauty of nature together. It’s mostly solo men, a few women. So, really nice to see a couple exploring together.
It's honestly unbelievable how serendipitous your videos make me feel. From a life long canoe tripper, i can safely say you are a true savant in the art of capturing our country's greatest gifts. This area in particular is magical and your cinematography shows how special of a place it is. Amazing way to spend a friday lunch. Cheers my guy, you're such a gangster 🤝 (Thais is also gangster as well)
Wait a second... Is this Snuggle Fartz? I see you pivoted into another amazing username haha. Thanks for watching and I'll have to show Thais you called her gangster - she will enjoy that :)
Goodness this is beautiful! I tend to forget what a wonderful and accomplished photographer you are. I am the daughter of an award winning photographer so I know what I am talking about. What a wonderful way to start my morning, Thank you for your skill and art. I love you and your brother's videos but this is just extra.
Beautiful, thank you for sharing. I loved seeing the young Mergansers. My wife and I spend a lot of time camping on the rivers of Idaho and the Mergansers are our favorite water fowl. We call them redheads. I think they are the adrenaline junkies of the duck world. All day long they spend their time flying up the river and then floating down the river and hitting all the rapids. It’s really cute to watch their little reds heads bobbing up and down as they go through the rapids. They are like the kayakers of ducks. I can imagine them in a Pixar movie being the the adrenaline junky kayakers 😂.
Haha yeah they have a little spice to them and seem to be having so much fun. Comparing them to white water kayakers is just perfect. My wife and I absolutely loved Idaho and we are itching to get back :) Cheers!
The "dopping" of young Mergansers preening and resting on the floating log was precious! A soft step and quiet demeanor often yields such intimate encounters with the critters . I often think how lucky THEY are to never know the noisy world most humans live in, under mostly starless skies. Lucky "ducks". You and Thais are lucky too. Another great adventure Maxim.
Max, it must be both a blessing, to be able to see what you see, but also something of a curse to try and describe it to others. Thank you for sharing thru film, and reminding us to slow down and appreciate the important things.
Thank you, Blake! My wife is so happy and energetic - it's always awesome to have her there with me. Thank you for the kind words and for stopping by. Cheers!
I really appreciate how you capture the flora and fauna, you are making a permanent record of the beauty and vastness of the Canadian wilderness. Keep it up Maxim, Thanks it's the next best thing to being there yourself. Grest editing too. Hello to Thais.
Hello, Frey! I have passed your hi on to Thais. It's great to think of it as making a record of Canadian wilderness, but also as a record of my own life. I love that I'll be able to remember trips more clearly in the future. All the best and hope you've been well!
Truly a work of art. You succeeded in capturing the beauty the eyes notice on such a trip. The clarity of your images is amazing. I hope someday my videos are even half as good. Thanks for sharing, and keep them coming.
Totally agree! I’m enjoying each of their channels and their growth as cinematographers. Their relationship is so refreshing. Their brotherly bond is evident. I look forward to seeing their new videos.👍😊
Your Welcome@@maximbudnick - & yes, I am a wood shop that creates canoe, kayak & sup paddles with future plans for canoe building & repair etc. We don't have a store front on sight, but I am just off the main rd leading into Kennisis Lake area, before Haliburton Forest proper. Perfect video to watch and unwind. Boggles my mind all the incredible shots you get and time that must go into these videos. Thanks so much for sharing these adventures.

Great video , calm and relaxing , not in a rush and no Drama. Love it. This is a video one can watch over and over and see and hear something different each time. Nicely Done

Very relaxing Max! 19:02 I believe is Jewelweed which always seems to grow by old beaver dams and also contains chemicals that can be used to help with poison ivy exposure.
@@maximbudnick I've been very well Max, thanks for asking! Spent 3 weeks car camping in South Dakota with family and up to Pancake Bay in August! Achray coming up for Canadian Thanksgiving!
This was incredible Maxim!! Oh my goodness! You could see the bees pollinating up close. The baby mergansers. The star shots! Bit of everything. Thanks so much man!! Take care all. NQU
Looks like you guys had an awesome trip! Glad to see the both of you out there together. And that was a fantastic opening sequence of shots, nice job! Looking forward to your next one.
Thanks to you and your Wife. Really appreciate the extra efforts you both sacrificed to make this masterpiece. Your talents with these videos are next level imo. Cheers to many more outings, perhaps. 😊
Wow Maxim! Great video! Love the early morning shots of the mist and the rising sun and the wildlife. Keep up the great work!! I could watch these all day long. I especially like that the background is contains the sounds of nature and not pre-recorded music (just my peculiar tastes I guess). So peaceful and relaxing. Excellent work!!
Thank you, Ron! The early morning shots of mist were my favorite - not only to film but experience. I couldn't believe how glorious it was when I stepped out of my tent - and it kept getting better as the sun rose. All the best!
I was fishing on Big Crow. A cow and her calf were walking along the north shore, paying no attention to me. I was whistling a song that was stuck in my head and momma would stop and twist her head one way then the other, then they carried on, only ten yards from my canoe. Best trip ever. Loved your bird pic's, and of course the hawaiian dance was lovely.
One of your best videos I’ve seen Maxim! I can’t stress enough how masterfully you capture the nature around you and the environment you are in. I love everything about it! And of course, you’re relationship with you wife is one that most of us dream to have. Keep it up brother!

As for your cinematography skills, I'm running out of superlatives with each passing video so I'll just go with "OUTSTANDING"! ❤❤
I just did the Flack Lake route in late July. This is now my second time because the route is just so darn beautiful. The portage/ campsite on Flack Lake is my favourite. However the portage at Sam Reid is hell personified. 60+ metres straight up a rock face. Your video is excellent - your videography rivals a Nat. Geo. video so well done. Always appreciative of your work and good to see your wife in the videos. Always better when you share the experience.
Yeah there were a couple portages that dragged on... And yes it's always nice to have my wife along on these trips :) Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!
Your videos are great for my blood pressure. You have a gift of bringing nature to the forefront. Because of you I don't watch those Alaska shows anymore. Thank you. Those red mushrooms in the beginning looked poisonous.
Thank you for your kind words! It's a wonderful compliment to hear you find my videos calming. They really did look very poisonous though I've been surprised to find out some brightly colored mushrooms are edible. Either way I won't be taking any chances. Hopefully one day I can do a mushroom picking course of some kind...
@@maximbudnick thanks for the reply. i was curious and they look like scarlet waxcaps.which are edible. i contacted an old friend who's a mushroom guru- magic mushrooms. he said he'll look into when he gets out of jail 🤣 his neighbor snitched on him for growing his own weed. originally from NYC, i have those kind of strange friends. 😎
Always enjoy your videos. Nice to see you out with your wife. Appreciate that you spoke loud enough in this video that I didn’t need captions. I also especially like your labeling of the flora and fauna.
Hey Max, the second viewing was better; took in a lot of the details of your story. And thank you for sharing you and your wife’s experience with us. Really special sharing, looking forward to more. Blessings on you both!
Hey Saiyan. I'll let her know you liked her dancing - she will be happy to hear that. I think she would have been happy in the flower child generation :)
Just beautiful young man love love the wild life especial the birds .. very nice touch when u include the written names of all the critters . And yes I believe the babies were merganser s .❤
Wow. I find it so interesting to see the different styles that all the producers of content such as this have. I couldn't pick a favourite between you, your brother, Jon, Jim, Joe, Noah, Keenan, etc, you all have totally different styles feeding different emotions. But this production, just wow. I'd run out of superlatives describing it. Serious thanks for taking the time and effort to produce this and capture these shots. Can wait for more from you, you have a real talent here. Matt.
Wow, this is SO beautiful!! Especially that you chose NOT to underline with music but just the sound of nature makes it even more tranquil and enchanting. Your nature is so unbelievable mesmerizing and beautiful, it´s unreal... Thank you and Thais so much for sharing this video with us.
Another really gorgeous video Max. Love all the wildlife shots. Hope you two have an awesome fall (with no bugs to get stuck in anyones hair)! Great work man.
Hey Max. Watched late last night, was too tired to comment, so watched again this evening and I'm glad I did. The nature, those starscapes, wow. And your lovely wife seems very adept in the outdoors. What struck me watching a second time, that I had missed last night, was when Thais said you were napping, but with with one eye and one ear open, always hoping to capture a bit of wildlife. Basically pointing out what's been obvious all along but was always unspoken, and that's the extent to which you're passionate about this. Another amazing vid, keep doing what you do, the numbers will come, because you do it like no one else. So thanks. And as always, I already can't wait to see the next one. Cheers!
Love the Duck Family :D
Yeah so much character
Yes Common Merganser babies.....we had a Cool moment with them on Tim Lake in The Algonquin interior....
The cinematic elements of your videos seem to be so much higher in the last few. Can’t wait to see what you’ll pull off in winter. Love the energy

Haha okay please give me an update on his opinion when he's out :D
update, red waxcap edible so i was wrong. my friend invited me to a get together but i'm afraid to go.
Always enjoy your videos. Nice to see you out with your wife. Appreciate that you spoke loud enough in this video that I didn’t need captions. I also especially like your labeling of the flora and fauna.
Thanks Anne! I appreciate your feedback.
Amazing trip, good job 😊
Thank you, Daiva! :)
Hey Max, the second viewing was better; took in a lot of the details of your story. And thank you for sharing you and your wife’s experience with us. Really special sharing, looking forward to more. Blessings on you both!
Glad you enjoyed it Nicholas!
Another relaxing and enjoyable video!
Glad to hear that!
Love Thais dance 🌞 she just flows. Flower child was before my time lol but that's what I thought of 😂
Hey Saiyan. I'll let her know you liked her dancing - she will be happy to hear that. I think she would have been happy in the flower child generation :)
You 2 would make wonderful parents.
Thank you, Gary. My apologies for the delayed replies to your messages

My pleasure Herschel! I am honoured that you look forward to them.
Matt.
Thank you so much Matt! I really appreciate your kind words. It means a lot and helps keep me going!
You are very welcome Kerstin, I am happy that you enjoyed it!

Great trip! Your videography is amazing ❤
Glad you liked it!!
Another really gorgeous video Max. Love all the wildlife shots. Hope you two have an awesome fall (with no bugs to get stuck in anyones hair)! Great work man.
Thanks brother!
Cheers!
Wow thanks Alan, glad you were able to watch it twice! Means a lot to me. I really appreciate your support!
