exactly, what do they expect that they are the only smart people who have figured out that Maya Bay is worth visiting??!!! and regardless it is as peaceful as you expect
eejit...lots of beach places that are as beautiful as this dont get this crowded. ao nang is obviously a mass tourism sort of place. they should limit the number of people going on the tours at any time. if other places are able to do that, so could they. it was just wild in the early morning on ao nang beach where the crowd of tourists waiting for tour boats is like you were at a taylor swift concert
No spoilers guys..it's really beautiful..go and explore.. ignore the negativity.... Thailand is one of my best place till now.... outstanding natural view....
You really to go early in the morning! There’ll be people but much less! I just spent the night aboard a boat in Maya Bay and was the first ones to arrive! Speechless! A truly nature gem in this World!
The reality is in which what you focus on. In this case the complainer sees all those people and lines while the gratitude person will see beaches and happiness. Same beach different perspectives from a negative and positive person
it's not as bad as the vid shows. the beach is quite big and ppl only overcrowded around the entrance area. everyone can get nice pics. maya bay is still a must visit
I went there when I was little in february early in the morning, it was completely empty. Thailand is more touristed now than it was 15 years ago, which is insane and justified, so just don't come in the high season.
Absolutely! Traveling often pushes us out of our comfort zones, and the experiences, even the challenging ones, become part of the adventure. It's about embracing the unexpected. ✈️🌍
I went there with a tour group. I think you have to go there through a travel agency. You can take pictures and stand in the water but swimming is not allowed. The tour guides will let you stay on Maya bay for 1.5 hours for lunch and pictures. Then they take you to Phi Phi island for snorkeling. I suggest you take a speedboat to go to Phi Phi island yourself and if you want to go to Maya bay tour and other islands. You can book a separate trip. I was in Krabi and went to a 4-island tour. Maya bay was one of the stops. @@vanessan7889
I went in 2013 and did the overnight camping in the bay…so nice since we were the only ones there after everybody left and had breakfast there before all the tourist boats started coming.
We appreciate your perspective! Maya Bay is indeed stunning, and we understand the sentiment. Striking a balance between capturing memories and fully enjoying the moment is crucial. In future videos, we'll aim to showcase both the beauty and the joy of the experience. Thanks for sharing your thoughts! 🏝️😊
Try visit Palawan Philippines especially in Puerto Princesa City,, El Nido, and Coron Philippines. You won't regret coming. Sorry it's my hometown so I know how it is.
Sure no worries. Let me know if need help booking your travel there. I was a tourist guide there before migrating in the USA so I know people in high places hehe..
I saw a TikTok about beautiful places to see before they're ruined by overtourism. Maya Bay not on the list presumably becasue it's already so popular. Sadly places like Palawan, Philippines, Joffre Lakes, Canada Zakynthos, Greece are next to become overtouristed.
Palawan is a big group of islands. I'm hoping Filipino officials there develop the entire length of the island because they hold beaches that have to be seen to be believed. And it has one of the seven wonders of the world. Most folks go to the north but the south, which is even more underdeveloped, is a visit for those that are more adventurous as the second biggest bird of prey can be found there too
I had this same experience in Bali. Went to a beach that looked like absolute heaven on instagram. In reality it was littered with so much trash, smelled like urine, and was over crowded
People are just dust in this paradise, go there and don't rush. All those people are rushing to take pictures because they have 1 or 2 hrs to go back to the boat. Go for minimum 4 hrs, find a peaceful corner and enjoy the scenery.
I didnt mind extra tourists. To enjoy the beauty of the place not necessarily you need it to be empty. You can still find your own spot. Even if you go early the beach has a restriction of 40-50 mins per entry so doesnt really matter. Moreover if you go when the suns shining, you get to see the actual colors of the place 😊
I love that the place the actual author was writing about is still largely unknown. He changed it to Thailand because he didn't want the islands (somewhere in the Philippines) that inspired him to get ruined by mass tourism. And he was right! Maya Bay had to be closed down due to the mass influx of tourists.
I totally get it; long lines can be a hassle, especially when you need to find facilities. Planning ahead is crucial in such crowded spots. Morning before 9 is much better to avoid the day trippers. At that time, you'll experience fewer crowds, and you might even have the beach to yourself or with just 5-6 people.
Unfortunately when hundreds or thousands of tourists start swimming there the water will start to become brown-yellow from sunscreen, pee and stirred up sand.
It's kinda funny to expect there'll be no people in the famous tourist attraction.
yeah ..right?! how stupid is this vid...
Haha, true! Famous spots always draw a crowd. Sometimes we hope for a miracle, right?

Still the water is as expected and clean just as shown in the previous video
That’s good to hear usually it’s full of trash and waste
@@namedrop721it's because they don't allow people to swim there

El barco era tuyo o lo alquilaste? Si es así donde puedo hacerlo yo?
How did you spent a night aboard a boat? Was it like a yacht?
Honesty or not. If you come late, sure it will be full. That's why you go there via early tours. They start at about 5.15 and you will be there first

You are so right! I did the early morning tour and it was beautiful!
Hello darling 💕
That’s every tourist destination. Get there at the right time and it’ll be great. Sharing is not that bad either
I was there 2 times before Leonardo and i was alone and it was beautiful
Leonardo got there also when there was a bunch of people already there! Haha
😊😂
Still beautiful in thailand expaction reality still same no one cant beat thailand

I was lucky when I visited Maya Bay in 2021 it wasn’t too crowded. And it is too beautiful.
of course after corona was not so much people😂

Awesome! July must've been a great time to visit. Such a beautiful place, right? 😍

That's the story of every place on this planet
you can live in long beach at phi phi island , it s also beautiful
Agreed! We actually stayed on Long Beach in Phi Phi and had a wonderful time

Yikes 😬 but I would still go just because it’s such a dreamy destination
That’s sad tbh such a beautiful beach. I get taking photos but like enjoy yourselves

Hello darling 💕
Love this video! We are in Bangkok Thailand and Thailand is awesome!
Hello daring 💕
I remember when in fact a lot of these beaches were quiet. :) now its all a little crazy sometimes. Life ;)
Wow! 😍😍😍
There are choices to avoid the beaten track, early morning and late afternoon are a good time.
Any good alternatives with cheap resorts and little crowds?
Try heading to Koh Yao Noi or Bamboo Island! They have way fewer tourists, and you can still enjoy that beautiful island vibe
Try visit Palawan Philippines especially in Puerto Princesa City,, El Nido, and Coron Philippines. You won't regret coming. Sorry it's my hometown so I know how it is.
Thanks for the recommendation! Palawan sounds incredible, especially El Nido, and Coron. I'll definitely consider adding it to my future travel plans!

Phuket 🤩🤩🤩
if you go on spring break well yes da!
😛😝 The "experience" is dependent on the time of year you visit. Although, Thailand has become highly over tourists since UA-cam and vlogging popular.

I was here today, can confirm lol
Depends on what time of day it is. If you go early in the morning or later at night theres less people there
I’ve been to these places in 2018, got so many amazing pictures without people around me. Guess I was lucky 😅 or I might scared everyone off😂😂

Beach quality is same just added more people. So I would say expectations and reality are same
Swimming is forbidden, I don't understand why 😢 I was there the last week. It's a beautiful place

True, but I enjoyed it
it's nice.
You can't enjoy a wonderful place alone.
Depends on time of year..
The reason why i just go to Railay beach only. 😂 Save a lot of money. There's people but hey cheaper in cost
