Man the 90's kids got a huge blast to the past in 2010. We got this awesome remix from super mario 64 and Toy Story 3 which we all grow up on. I'm proud of being a 90's kid.
I was kind of sad about this game's plot not being nearly as good as that of Super Mario Galaxy 1, but this level made every penny I spent on the game worth it- seeing it and listening to this music just made my night and left me in a good mood for days.
If I had an AWESOME level editor, an AWESOME orchestra, and AWESOME composing skills, which I sadly have none of, I would make a full WORLD or two or three to do this for every SM64 level.
I got excited as hell when I saw this level. Then I heard the music. I nearly shat myself. Nintendo. Thank you for getting your fan base from time to time.
I remember my cousin having it before most people, because he was "that kid" who had all the new stuff before anyone else lol. I just remember running around the overworld and being AMAZED.
When I first saw that level and heard this track, I was all like "NOOO! NOOOO!!! Why must you torment me again like you did over 10 years ago?!?". Needless to say, I was horrible at Mario 64 as a kid.
That's true, though I still argue it can be considered, at least partially, a FPS, because most of your weapons (various beams and missles) and the way you view the world (your visor) make it seem like an FPS. Simply because a game is a first person shooter, that doesn't mean it can't have other traits. Borderlands is an FPS, but it is also an RPG.
i nearly stopped breathing for 5 seconds when seeing the galaxy on the transmission video,i then slapped my face to see if i was seeing things but i wasnt,i then started breathing again and i knew,I have to get this game
Right, I get that. Though there are still parts that have the fast intensity of an FPS. But even so, it's really Nintendo's only FPS. So First-person Adventure, First-person Shooter, call it what you will.
Then there's the Dee Ess port. With 29 more stars Play as Weegee, Wario or e-ven Yoshi the music has tons of swag no matter where your at whether you are underwater, on the ground or even in a clock *music fades out*

This was translated as "Nostalgia Fortress" in the Italian version.
A perfect fit imo.
Same thing in Japanese, Korean, and Spanish.

2010: Feeling nostalgic about Whomp’s Fortress
2023: Feeling nostalgic about Throwback Galaxy
Crazy how accurate this is
It can't be coincidence that Mario 64 was released in 1996, almost the exact same gap length.
I'm hoping for a 3D All-Stars 2 with 64 DS, Galaxy 2, and 3D Land on the Switch 2.

If you don't tear up in happiness listening to this song, you're not a human being.
