He’s one of the only artists that help me stay motivated to continue playing guitar; he portrays his music as something anyone can grasp and play. I owe him so much, bless Johnny.

I've seen Johnny with The Smith's, The Pretenders , with his own band in 2013 and last May 2019 both times at HOB in Anaheim.....Phenomenal......One of the best.....
I agree Mike. People will knock him, because hes older, but he's the only virtuoso that wants to keep improving, and he does. Johnny pushes himself and is still, and will be very relevant for a long time. Hes a massive influence on my music and I can't play even a quarter good as him. The last great guitar hero.

Love Johnny Marr, and Morrissey. I'm sure they still love each other. In Morrissey's autobiography there was no vitriol for Johnny.
Emma Picara There was some contempt, though. Morrissey figured Marr was too eager to please everyone.
Morrissey's problem is that he's not eager enough to please everyone - so he won't even listen to critics, for instance. And that's why Morrissey hasn't learnt anything in the past decades where Marr has.

I really really really hate the Smiths. But the more research I do, the more I realise that maybe I don't hate the Smiths, I just really fucking hate Morrissey. Because Johnny is cool AF and makes some pretty good tunes.

ChablesMan Why hating the Smiths and Morrissey...? They were among the best bands in the 80s. Unfortunately their music suffered of such a poor production often too reverberated.
