Funnily enough the idea of spy's ability to disguise originated from a bug in the original team fortress mod for quake which would have it so sometimes players appear as the wrong team. And as they fixed the bug they decided to implement it as an ability for the spy.

In the same vein, the Soldier’s famous rocket jumping ability originally was a bug that became a feature.
Fun fact: According to TF2 lore (or maybe just the Soldier), the two-story building, America, and the rocket launcher were all invented by Shakespearicles, the strongest writer who ever lived. Unfortunately he never invented stairs, meaning that for the next 300 years people could only get to the second floor by rocket jumping. Stairs weren't invented until 1857, but unfortunately their inventor Abraham Lincoln would die in a tragic rocket jumping accident at Ford's theater before realizing the importance of his invention, and it wouldn't be until 1921 that FDR would rediscover Lincoln's invention while recovering from losing his legs in a rocket jumping accident.

If fighting is sure to result in defeat then you must not fight, even if bidden by your lord." It basically means Fight every battle you know you can win, and avoid the battle if you know you can't.
In the game when you eat the Sandvich, it locks you in place while you eat it to heal while he goes "nom nom nom". There's a video out there of 2 people left, with open mics. The Heavy went "Nom nom nom" over mic, and the other guy thought it was from in-game, and attacked thinking that the Heavy was a sitting duck. He got wrecked and lost.

Small Fun Fact: Tavish Finnegan Degroot, otherwise known by his moniker, Demoman, is Scottish Nobility, owns a medieval castle, holds down 36 SEPARATE JOBS at the same time as his Mercenary Work, and quite literally turned every organ in his body into an alcohol-creating mechanism of some sort. Including his bone marrow and brain. Somehow.
I believe he is also a multi-millionaire. He just holds down these jobs and so on because his parents insist upon it. He's also a skilled pianist. Apparently, outclassing even more "cultured" men such as Spy in his skills.
I like demoman, he's unique. He doesnt really fit into a well known archetype of any kind. Everytime you learn more about him its always something you wouldnt have thought of.
Demo doesn't have 36 separate jobs he only works 3 jobs. His father was the one working 26 separate jobs and he even still had time to teach Tavish the family trade of being a demoman.
and his blood alcohol levels are so high that when some robots were trying to drain it they died from alcohol poisoning. this is in the comics.
Having watched the “Meet the Team” videos hundreds of times, seeing them FLIPPED puts my brain into attack mode.

Though he does have a very good personal damage output of a shotgun and fast shooting pistol, and he has a dispenser to give people health and ammo, and teleporters to move people

Fun fact: The Medic is the only member of the team that the Heavy actually respects...Because the Medic actually outsmarted the bullet. After Medic rigged up the team for the Ubercharged Medic Gun, he can make them bullet-proof, so he has indeed outsmarted a bullet.
More: When part of the Demoman's speech was beeped out, it wasn't because he was cursing. He was saying some true things about the Loch Ness Monster that the government didn't want to be publicly revealed...
Another: After the Medic got everyone fixed up (ie- after these videos first came out) & the pigeon Archimedes had been left inside of the Scout, there's a chance in-game that if the Scout has been blown to bits, you might see the bird flying out of his chest.
After these Meet the Team vids came out, there's something else besides the one mentioned above...In the game, the model for the Sniper still has a scar on his face where the Spy cut him in the Meet the Spy video.
Yes, the developers made some small changes in the actual game characters based upon what they did in these videos & the comic book series they've published.
Another tidbit: When the Spy pulled his sick burn on the Scout with those photographs, the implication that he might even be the Scout's father is not mere speculation...They *are* related as such.
Also logically, the disguised Red Spy wasn't acting when he took Scout's mother's photos from the other merc's hands. He's _shown_ in the photos, he's legitimately embarassed by that.
@@LawreAnimations To be fair about it, the Blu Scout would have done tried to get the photos back anyway...But if Red Spy was really embarrassed about having so many photos with him included, he would've taken *all* photos at the end, not just one of them.
The Engineer seems bland because he falls under the engineer stereotype, but the thing is, he is the reason the stereotype is a thing.

Fun fact. If you have intestines streched out on a table they will reform to the original shape that would be in the body. The intestine is capable of doing this whitout intervention/help from the body itself. So apreciate your flesh snake for its hard work.
If you whant a practical example. Go to a butcher and ask them to put some fresh intestines on the table and wait. The flesh snake will proceed to slowly atempt to reform over a span of a few hours.

My favorite joke of all the meet the’s that often flies over people heads is the soldiers last one “Thats why whenever there are a bunch of animals in the same place it’s called a ZOO!!!” which sounds like “Tzu” who in soldiers wild imagination had a boat like Noahs Ark with a bunch of animals

If you look closely at the end of his trailer where it zooms out of him standing with the whole team it says that it is an optical mask fallowed by some words that I could never find out because it was too small for the resolution
Actually…I don’t think it’s his mask…I’m not that familiar with tf2 lore, but I’m pretty sure pyro is just EXTREMELY schizophrenic, and if it doesn’t involve fire, just sees the world as gray and boring…literally…and the mask saying “optical mask” is an actual thing gas masks do
If you flipped the original videos over possible copyright, you've got nothing to worry about! You can even look at the hundreds of other videos on tf2 and the "meet the team" video reactions. It's all pretty much fair for the public to use!
Thanks! Yeah I have been playing around with formats, some content has more restrictions than others. TF is probably alot more lax as it looks like they enjoy community made content.
On the team cards with the "meet the" and then class, at the bottom it says "copyright lololololol"

Some trivia, canonically meet the scout, soldier, demoman, heavy, and sniper were meant to be used in a documentary about mercenaries, but actually to get dirt on them for blackmail. It's heavily implied heavy knew or suspected this and it's why he only talked about himself.

I think that would be spy, as you are the most vulnerable class in head to head combat and if you're found out, 9 out of 10 times you are toast

@@M4x_P0w3r personally I find engi way harder, too much to keep track of at once and my brain doesn’t move fast enough. Then again I’ve only played offline and bots never call out disguised spies so that might be part of why I find him easier

The actual lore of TF2 is just as crazy as the characters. The whole thing started because two brothers stopped fighting just long enough to convince their father to buy up almost all of New Mexico... and then they found out that the land was worthless when they got to America. When their father died, he left each of them an equal half of the land, while his arms manufacturing company, Mann Co., went to his aide, and his gold went to his servant. Blutarch, one of the brothers, hired a crew of nine mercenaries to take his brother Redmond's land, but Redmond had also hired nine mercenaries. The two have been locked in a stalemate for 120 years because both of them secretly hired a man named Radigan Conagher (who is the Engineer's grandfather) to build a machine that would extend their lives. The characters you play as are the most recent group of mercenaries, and are collectively known as Team Fortress.
The "meet them all" video plays them in the order they appear on the character select screen. The release order of the videos scales up better, with Pyro being last.
The edible device was part of the introduction of alternate loadouts. It serves as a rechargeable self-heal for Heavy, which could also be given to others in order to provide some support-class elements in exchange for giving up Heavy's secondary weapon. See also the jars of urine that Sniper can choose to carry instead of his SMG.
Fun fact: human ribs actually can grow back depending on how much was damaged. It appearently can take up to three months for ribs to regenerate. But your liver regenerates even faster, and so does your tounge. However these parts never retain their original shape after they regenerate. (I should also mention, they only regenerate when they are still their, if you lose your tounge completely you lose the ability to speak and taste forever.
Another fun fact; the censored Demoman line was “they got more fuckin’ monsters in the bloody loch ness than they got tha likes of me”
Fun fact according to the original team fortress 2 comics the pyros disconnect is a coping mechanism that is the only thing keeping him alive because he apparently went mad after being forced burn down an orphanage

There is no conclusive answer. It could be because of the goggles or Pyro just sees the world like that. However it is shown that in the absence of fire Pyro sees the world as a grey dull blocky world. I personally think that it isn't the goggles and the pyrovision goggles are just so other people can experience what its like to see the world like Pyro.
Something to note gameplay wise on sniper. There’s a game wide crit system. Sniper can’t randomly crit like others can, but he can get a crit on headshot. He also has a charge mechanic on scoped shots. Crits deal triple base damage. Sniper’s rifle charge mechanic increases scoped shot damage by 200% when fully charged. Base damage 50. So quick scoped headshots deal 150, fully charged headshots deal 450. You only need a full charged headshot to one shot a heavy being pocketed by a medic (overheal from medics gives decaying overheal, 50% target’s base health, and heavy has 300)
You didn't need to mirror the video, Valve is ok with stuff like this, the only thing you should have done, was mute the Pyro video.

Sniper and Spy, to me, are the most psychologically stable individuals, though Engineer and Heavy are right up there, too.
In tf2 the engineer has to do much more then sit around and have his turrets do all the work, medic aside he has to do the most of the team
engineer has to do way more than medics, overall if you play classes more than just to kill people, pyro and engineer can be the hardest classes to play, engineer has to do a bunch more with dispensers and sentrys and teleporters and defending everything than medic does with people and pyro can just protect his entire team better than medic oftentimes

I get what your talking about with engineer being stereotypical, but TF2 is crazy old and engie is the original of that video game trope. Also, overwatch completely copied the concepts of tf2 so it’s not fair to compare characters.

Just saying, your mentality surrounding the engineer is pointless if you don't apply it to sniper. Sniper is even less of an original or interesting concept than the engineer that is severely overdone, not to mention Sniper in TF2 is a long range class in a game where everyone else is short or mid range which makes him the lowest skill/effort class in the game.
Sniping in TF2 is really difficult and takes much skill. Try to snipe a scout moving in so many different directions at once in the head, since body shots dont do much

Pretty much. Also, you are HALF right in Engie using his turrets, as he is a support class. But while his main role is area denial, he can also build Dispensers that heal teammates and refill their ammo supply, and Teleporters that help less mobile classes like Heavy get to the frontlines quicker.
And there's also alternate ways to play Engie, such as the famous Battle Engineer loadout

I'd like to point out that Medic only put his gloves on AFTER operating on Heavy. He operated on a man BARE-HANDED, with his hands SO bloody it looked like he was wearing gloves!

this is my first video I am watching of your channel and I couldn't help but notice that your video intro is like the movies that play before each game you enter in team fortress 2, that old file style that rolls over with the sound.
