A girl I used to be friends with in high school was mad at me because I couldn’t hang out with her because I didn’t have a ride (this was before I was old enough to have a license) so she hated me after that. Then accused me of stealing her phone case when we didn’t even have the same phone?? Lol. To this day (I’m 21) if she sees me and she’s with her friends she gets them all to call me names and laugh at me. Of course she doesn’t do anything when she’s alone. Petty ass shit let me tell you.

When I was 16, one girl for a couple years was SCARED of me somehow... I cheated on this guy I was dating, and we broke up. Few months later, he moves on with some girl and I made it very clear that I had no issues with it and that I was glad he was moving on and no hard feelings since I WAS THE ONE who fucked up. And she damn near peed her pants every time she saw me for about 3 years after that. I repeatedly told her I had no issues, was never aggressive, never talked shit about her. She was a sweet girl who somehow convinced herself I hated her despite me repeatedly telling her to her face that I had zero problem with her and wished her the best of luck. Just because we dated the sane person does not mean we are enemies! It's too crazy and childish to me, but people will believe what they want to believe.
You've shown you're a mature person because you acknowledged that you were the one who messed up. Maybe she was scared because people around her may have blown your actions out of proportion.
