If it wasn't for the CA's it would have been my first choice. But because of that I truly prefer the Viltrox amzn.to/47XF6ZP Here is the comparison video: ua-cam.com/video/TEZ7xzOuMKo/v-deo.html
Good morning, this weekend I will be testing the Viltrox 56mm f1.7. A brand new lens. As soon as I tested it before even releasing my video I will reach out to you and let you know my thoughts, so that you can really pick the best. Sounds good? Love your channel - subscribed
@@ParadiseBizz awesome! I saw that Viltrox has a 56mm f1.4 for Sony. Will you cover that lens? Currently, I’m on a tight budget so I’m just trying to find something that will take decent head shots until I can invest in more expensive lenses. And thank you for subscribing! I’m gonna be doing more live streams in the future! Lots of wildlife conservation and science comedy 🐒🍌🥸 That’s why I want a good prime lens that can also auto focus well with video too!
@@NataliaReagan Hi Natalia, no, it is not the f1.4. Viltrox is coming out with a cheaper version of that lens, the 56mm f1.7 in about 10 days. Also for Sony e-mount. No one knows about that, just the two of us. I get to test it and to give my honest feedback, I am soooo excited. I love your sense of humor. Have a great weekend, Dirk
Good morning Natalia, here is the video about the Viltrox 56mm f1.7 ua-cam.com/video/O4z7bMbE2JA/v-deo.html On Amazon: amzn.to/3McZFaG I was pretty impressed, especially given the low price of $180. What makes this lens stand out is the uniform image quality corner to corner - most cheap lenses only chine in the center. Let me know if you have questions. Happy to help
Short and to the point review. Well done! I have this lens, and yes, I am totally in agreement with your review. This is an excellent lens at the price point. I also have the Sigma 56mm f1.4 that does not have an aperture ring. Image quality for both lenses are on par in my opinion. But the Meike is more prone to lens flare and chromatic abberations when shooting againt the light. I pair the lens with my Fujifilm X-H2 and it resolve with the X-Trans CMO 5 HR 40 megapixels very well.
Nice review. I was going to buy this lens before, but I ended up going with TTArtisan 56mm/f1.8 since it was $70 cheaper...F1.8 aperture is enough for me and the sharpness is great. Both lenses are worth the price.

I use a7iii with 35mm and a6500 with 85mm when shooting wedding but sometimes I feel like kinda too wide or too tight. Perhaps I might sell 85mm and buy this instead.
Since you have one full frame camera and one APS-C I would recommend this: amzn.to/4bXYWpk Here is the full video: ua-cam.com/video/pP-1g9dhs_E/v-deo.html
@@ParadiseBizz I would love this lens but I want meike 35mm f1.4 ff also. I want to have similar glass coating so it will be easier to me colour grade later on. Rumor said the series will release end of this year.
If it's only for photography I'd go with the Viltrox 56mm f1.7 amzn.to/47XF6ZP, or if you want to save a bit money the TTArtisan 56mm f1.8 amzn.to/4erm4O2
I bough it on Amazon and I will try for few days... In the worst case is easy to return back but seems promesing. I decided to buy as back up while my 16-55 f2.8 G sony is in repair...
It's pretty amazing to see how far budget lenses have come. It'll hopefully put Sony & Co under pressure for better pricing. Let me know how you like it and if you decided to keep it
I'm on a budget and i want these 3 lense's but i can't decide which to len's to pick Meike 50mm 1.8 Or 7Artisans 50mm 1.8 Or Meike 55mm 1.4 It's for my sony A6600
I have been considering this lens. Your review was very good. Most of my concerns about this 'budget' lens were adressed. Great job, cheers

Thanks so much for sharing. Please check back after tomorrow: Viltrox is going to release a very interesting 56mm f1.7
Meike is getting better and better. And for good price too. Can't wait to see what they will come out in the future(especially full frame one).
I reviewed their 50mm full frame lens amzn.to/4bXYWpk it costs only $160 and it is really good! ua-cam.com/video/pP-1g9dhs_E/v-deo.html

How is the bokeh and how are chromatic aberrations on high contrast out of focus areas?
i like the voice of the female who is questioning the speaker.....100% french..

Hey, Meike 55 1.4 or Sony 50mm 1.8 OSS ? Only photography

How is this lens compared to TTArtisan 56mm/f1.8 in terms of sharpness?
Unfortunately I never had the TTArtisan 56mm. I can try to get it to make a comparison
What you recomend, sony e 50mm oss or meike 55 mm?
That really depends: if you have an APS-C camera then I would go with the 55mm. It really surprised me in a good way. amzn.to/4cQchQl
I'm on a budget and i want these 3 lense's but i can't decide which to len's to pick
Meike 50mm 1.8 Or 7Artisans 50mm 1.8 Or Meike 55mm 1.4
It's for my sony A6600
My advice: for your Sony a6600 go with the amzn.to/4cQchQl Meike 55mm f/1.4 Faster aperture, great sharpness, super low distortions. It is a good lens
So good to see more and more affordable alternatives from 3rd party manufacturers! 👍
I agree, it'll put pressure on the big guys and will hopefully keep their prices in check
@@ParadiseBizz Or at least allow the others to make glass for their mounts.
