- The Special Scientific Investigations Division of the Metropolitan Police Department. Assigned there are the old detective Daizo Shiba and the young detective Tsuyoshi Shinjo, and appearing before them is a robot detective. His name is “K.” From that day on, the two detectives and Robot Detective K will work together. Seemingly unsolvable crimes happen one after the next, and it becomes clear that the secret organization “BAD” is behind them. Now Shiba, Shinjo, and K are on BAD’s trail.

I had the opportunity to watch this in Colombia through a Perú channel ... It was the very early 90s. It is one of my first memories watching TV. Watching Jiban and Liveman was so special in that time. Thank you. Justice and protecting Earth, the things I learned it that time and will never forget.

Thanks Toei, for giving me back one of my childhood series! It was so long ago that I saw it, that I began to think that I had confused it with another series, but no, that ship the Jet Spylas was very unique [I had it on top and you don't see how cool it was] to not be Jiban's.

I've been binge watching tokusatsu genre while I'm working out or drawing, even with a brief history of the genre, I never heard of Jiban. And as a Robocop fan I have to admit that Jiban looks a bit cooler.
My beautiful childhood memories come back..thank you...😭😭😭...the ending OST..that's the best part of this..

que yo recuerde este no era el episodio 1, en primer episodio naoto queda mortalmente herido al tratar de enfrentar a bioron , y es ahi donde el dr igarashi lo somete a un proceso que lo convierte finalmente en jiban , lo que no me quedo claro si es que a naoto lo volvieron un cyborg como a los kamen raiders , lo cual derivaria en que solo es humano por fuera y cibernetico interiormente , esa es mi duda.
Su cuerpo es de metal con un gran corazón y en su bondad es igual a ti, oh JIban...😊

Jiban was one of my childhood favorites, so seeing it back in this channel is great!
That said, it's kinda funny how things turn around inspiration wise on this: Jiban is obviously inspired conceptually and appearance-wise by Robocop. In turn, Robocop's appearance was heavily inspired by Space Sheriff Gavan.
And Robocop eventually inspired another Metal Hero, Janperson
It is amazing how in all these japanese series openings, they always pose the main character and its gadgets in the very same way TOY advertisement works. Im sure they manufactured toys earlier and made the series as a big and expensive advertisement.

They uploaded Shaider, but it's regionlocked. The North American / European rights are with Hasbro, because of the old Saban VR Troopers adaption.

@@sebass1233 they originally did way back. But the tricky part of the situation is, here in the Philippines, Japanese sentai and Power Rangers were shown almost back-to-back. Truth be told, we had the likes of Bioman (my first super sentai as a kid), Maskman, Fiveman, Turbo Ranger and Jetman here before Power Rangers hit the scene. While Power Ranger products are being sold (the old bandai stock tho, not Hasbro ones) we also have original kamen rider/space sheriff/super sentai toys for sale locally. Thats why I am familiar with Shaider, Gavan and Sharivan.
@@sebass1233 any show where the rights are in dispute got region locked. Combatter V and Daimos were licensed to the Shogun Warriors toy line in the US years ago, so those shows are still region locked here.
Even all the pre-ZyuRanger Sentai shows are still blocked in the US to because of the Power Rangers license.

Y así es como se inicia una serie que hace bastante tiempo pensaba en mirar porque me la recomendaron en otro canal de UA-cam y por las buenas críticas que recibió del fandom pero que por falta de tiempo o de espacio en el disco duro para descargarla de algún fansub que la tenga completa no la pude empezar a mirar hasta ahora y por lo visto en esta serie ya desde el minuto 0 que hay tremenda acción a más no poder
