- In 2007-2009 I use to get into of tokusatsu(or sometime this year). Not anymore.. Kinda busy. One of the best at it hits for Metal Heroes: Space Sherrif Shaider from 1984. Along with the Super Sentai hits "Choudenshi Bioman", and there were many Japanese tv show like animation, drama, tokusatsu, movies, and many more so much of popular. A scene feature maybe the first episode of Space Sherrif Shaider, I think. A counterattack from Fuuma.
No 1 year anniversarry intro part for me over a week ago.

Compared to Makuu and Madou, Fuuma Empire seems to be the most manipulative enemy in the series.
I notice how children were used as bait. Sometimes the enemy knows how to disguise themselves as civilians, open the strange realm and put someone with a surprising trap.
And of course, Kubilai's face is very creepy.
Fuuma wanted to rule the universe so they used every single underhanded tactics possible.
Makuu just wanted to destroy the space police organization and the planets that opposed them so that they can freely do their crimes. To creating planet destroying weapons, they tended to abduct scientists and people of technical expertise instead.
Madou was about spreading fear to put every planets in their place. Compared to the other 2 villain groups, Madou had more personal beef with Sharivan and the Iga clan.

Shaider was the only space sheriff show aired in the Philippines in the late 80s so in that time, we have no idea who are those two other space sheriffs in that episode. But in the mid 90s one of them, which is Gavan, was finally aired but Sharivan didn't.

In the Philippine dub, they depicted that Fuma killed Shaider's predessecors (Gavan and Sharivan)

In our country, back then, Shaider was the only Uchuu Keiji series that aired and we never introduced to Gavan (aired eventually but very late) and Sharivan. So as a child when I first saw this episode, I was like "Who are those?? Are they the next heroes?". I even said that Gavan's Dragon robot was so cool. 😅
Sharivan did appear in the final episode of Gavan 😂

オメガの回想シーン扱い、そのたびに脱獄した設定。
There should have been a team up between Gavan, Sharivan and Shaider. But due to the Fuuma attacks in all parts of the galaxy. No choice but to divide and safeguard the other systems, making Shaider to defend on his own in Earth. The 2 humaniods with the cat and bird heads were Shaider's batch mates in the Sheriff Academy that got killed defending their own planets. Shaider promised to defeat Fuuma to avenge their deaths.
They actually did team up on a special episode.. shaider's classmate who were killed were named kitz and ullu. :)
Wow I didn't know that. So that's the reason why Gavan and Sharivan has the same universe as Shaider.

ちなみにシャイダー放映中の１９８４年では同時期に太陽にほえろ！ではボギー刑事（世良公則さん）が殉職してます。
これだけ強かったフーマなのに、首領クビライをシャイダーに倒されただけであっさりと壊滅するなんて一体何があったのでしょうか？
主力の不思議獣たちはほとんど殺され、戦闘機や戦闘母艦も毎週破壊され、ヘスラー指揮官など幹部連中や、不思議獣を生み出していたフーマの求心力、大帝王クビライも死んだため壊滅まっしぐらしかなくなった。ただただシャイダーが無双した。
銀河系や他の星系でギャバンやシャリバンなどの宇宙刑事たちが必死に戦ったおかげ。ギャバンやシャリバンが最終決戦にシャイダーといなかったのはそのため？

と重たい主人公のテーマがあったのに対し、シャイダーにはそれがなかった。(と大抵の文献にあります。)だから
「ちょっと軽めにして差別化を図ろう」
ということなのかも。ましてや、奇星伝(シャリバン)ではガマゴン大王や魔王サイコ、戦士サイコラー、とどめに安藤三男さまが怪演された『首と身体がはなれても死なずに攻撃してくる』レイダー、たちのせいで恐くて子どもたちは泣いた(これもいろんな文献にあります)、つまり視聴率が落ちたから、
政宗一成さまが
『新しいヒーローがやってくるよぅ❗』
と明るく言っても子どもは信用してくれないから、と読んでのおも〜い切ったマイナーチェンジだったのかもしれない。いまはそんな気もします。

For the record. Fuma's and Kuma's ain't related. You may have stumble upon a TV show that was hated a lot by true Tokusatsu fan's due to the original show "Shaider" was bastardized by the director and production crew of the show "Zaido" made by GMA 7 back in 2007.

Shaider was a disappointment. Recycled plots and villains from the first 2 space sheriff shows. Boring main character. Not as badass as Gavan or Sharivan. Fights are 80% stock footage. We didn't see a team up of space sheriffs in the final battle. And the Shaider only decided to fight because his 2 classmates died, not because that he was a descendant of the original Shaider who was meant to slay Fuuma.
