I have a 6.5 gallon just like this and I never do waterchanges. I just dose all for reef. If you cut down on your water changes your shrooms will puff up.

Also, any tips for getting algae growth in a cycling tank, I seem to be really good at growing blue/green algae, though I would love to grow some more diatoms. Also, where can I get a Quality Marine sticker, don't think I didn't see that 😂
Looking at the size and flow of the tank, and the potential jumping. I'd say for fish saltwater mollies would be your best option, and they eat algae and live bear in saltwater.

I’m very interested in a video going into more depth about a small tank without a heater. I have a 14 gallon cube and it’s been waiting over a year to be filled because I just Don’t want the equipment to show. Planned on doing a HOB filter to just move the water and an MP10 with a kessil A360x. If I can get away without a heater I’ll have this thing filled before the weekend is up
I know the question gets asked a lot, but what is your light schedule for your AI prime? I downloaded the one for the pico and 25g tank but the spectrum in the video looks different. I like this look more ! Awesome tank.

I had the same problem with my lid, a small piece of gutter guard is a decent fix.

great vid and for the mushrooms in the pico not getting puffed out lower light intensity and throw a pink streak wrasse in that tank would be fire 🔥

You can clear the surface film in the pico tank by using the Eheim 350 Skim surface skimmer. It creates a nice bit of flow as well 👍

Acclimate some fresh water mollies in your pico. They’re great algae eaters and won’t jump.
