When I worked in the City (of London) in the mid 1980s, the owner of the firm had a mint 190SL (amongst a collection of 10+ cars). I’ve always thought this is a gorgeous looking car and had I the time and inclination, I’d love to restore something like this. Thanks for the great video which brought back memories. The 190SL was the only car he didn’t pool with us. I drove his Aston Martin Vantage Volante, his 328GTS and his Porsche 911 Turbo, amongst others, but the 190SL was look, but don’t touch!
Awesome job. Very good. The car now it's better than factory! Congratulations to the team and to the owner. From Lisbon, Portugal, EU with love for cars. Keep up the good work.
When I was just 17 years old, in 1965, I bought a 1957, 190 SL. I paid only $1500 for it. It was my first car and I loved it. It’s too bad it couldn’t keep it all these years.
Was working at a newspaper in 1956, one of my fellow craftsman takes me to the parking lot, there sits a brand new 190 SL roadster, gray. When I retired in 1995, he was still driving the little beauty.
Back in the 1970’s-80’s you could have bought these relatively cheap. Now they are worth a fortune. This had to have been restored by Mercedes Heritage restoration shop.
There’s one of these I’ve seen many times in Amarillo. It’s like an off white bone color. And it’s looks like it just rolled off the showroom floor. Beautiful.
If you notice that there is no detail that they leave aside and their professionalism, that is precisely why I would have enjoyed seeing them work and solving the problems in a video, because seeing only images does not do justice to so much work and so well done. And if the video lasted 2 hours with the corresponding edition so as not to make it eternal, I and many of us would see it, because the work of a good professional is very enjoyable.
Exactly - this amounts to a random set of photographs that may or may not be the car purported to have been restored. Many of the parts simply looked new or professionally remanufactured.
Stunning colour palate! Only drawback is the lousy plating by your vendor. The yellow cad should have no blue in it. Spoils the appearance of all those pieces in the engine compartment. Other than that, a beautiful and correct job! Should finish highly in concours competition.

This is a million dollar car.

Dear Santa Claus: I've been quite good...

A l'époque Mercedes faisait des voitures magnifiques ! Aujourd'hui ils font des chinoiseries !

The replating bill (cadmium?) for that car probably exceeded the cost of the car. Gorgeous work.
Yellow cad looks bad, there should be no blue in it.
Excelente trabajo. felicitaciones. Saludos desde Buenos Aires, Argentina
Una maravilla de restauración
Pure Quality ..stunning work !

Could have been a better color.
harta karun 🎉
Side view?
Must have cost a fortune to rebuild... but presumably less than it's now worth.
this is not a restoration. just assembled the car from new parts
Beautiful car, but the most boring resto I've ever watched.
looks mint but far from original
I have 1956 190 for sale everything is original
If I want to hear music I would have turned on the radio
You are 100% correct.
If I wanted to hear complaining I would’ve called you. 😂
Ohhhh, you do not know, how to turn the musik down on this film?
Try to google it😂😂😂
Hi from 🇩🇰
Video no pic. Aburridisimo
Grüsse auf Kroazien!!!
Gelbverzinkte Teile im 190SL? Selten so gelacht!
Wouldn’t care but it’s lousy music
It's hard to tell from this video.
Did he actually "restore" the parts, or did he just replace them with new parts out of a box?
