I previously took my old mask and painted it as well. The links below your video are worth their weight in gold as I scoured the internet looking for refurbish parts trying to figure out where to get hardware and foam. Ended up paying way to much for it. My only advice is at 13:47 you go from clear coat to "Paint is done" where I added a curing and buffing step. I let the clear coat cure for a couple of days and then got out my buffer, hit the polishing pad with some Meguiars polishing compound and took my time. It put a high gloss shine on it. I did mess mine up by trying to cure it in the sun which stained the clear coat I was using a yellow but with the theme I was using is fine. I wasn't using mine as a back up more an art piece to put behind me in zoom calls.

ua-cam.com/video/s-ZRdfM0Qeg/v-deo.html if you are interested in what I did, also beware I have intro music as I am still playing with my channel trying to be artistic to make up for all my bad hockey playing.

It is well done for a backup mask. And now a primary one.

How does it handle sweat absorption in regards to weight and mold from water/sweat after use?

The ol itech aka “the widow maker”.

The widow maker was the Itech 1200 and 1400s were made of plastic. The Itech Profile 4000s and above (like in this video) were made from fiberglass and were decent quality. Infact, Bauer bought the design and modern Bauer Profile 960 are based on this Itech design

Right but that whole line that was shaped like those are affectionately called the Widow makers@@burrheadjr

@@Dbomb81 thats not correct. They get their name from the materials, not shape. Hence why the old 940s are also considered "widowmakers"
