- Earl Sweatshirt pulls up to DESUS & MERO to discuss his COVID threepeat, still enjoying rapping, his new album "Sick," the "Free Earl" movement and getting sent to boarding school right before Kanye West tweeted out the "Yonkers" video, the infamous "Loiter Squad" Joe Budden impression on adult swim, working with The Alchemist, "Full Clip" by Gang Starr, and how David Guetta solved racism.

DESUS & MERO, the Bronx’s very own, reconnected online in the early days of Twitter, where they unleashed their potent personalities and found themselves kindred spirits. That led to stints on Complex and MTV, the Bodega Boys podcast, and a daily late-night show on Viceland, developing a feverish following. The quick-witted duo brings a distinct voice to late night, delivering smart and comedic commentary on any and all topics, that keeps audiences buzzing. DESUS & MERO continue to host their Bodega Boys podcast. - Комедії
Seeing Earl in a good place is just so calming. You can even hear it in the music 🙏🏾✨ “Peace to every crease on your brain”
Peace to who came before me in the game
That was like 2 albums ago
@@ineverswag we giving praise and glory to your name kid
Im getting that line from veins tatted on me
@@jordanclarke6450 we cellophane ur story, so it stays
Bruh I aint expect this trio to have the chemistry they did but this is the most enjoyable interview I’ve seen in a minute. They cheered their beers like 50 times
Facts
da
Earl music resonates with me
I feel his somber sounds and depressing lyrics
I deal with all that and anti social tendencies, loneliness and I can’t relate to majority of people
@Roberto R I’m far from cool
*Cheers’ed
Wish this was like 20 minutes, love seeing Earl really be comfortable in an interview
Mans grew up from his first interview when he was scared as hell asking Tyler to come back into the room with Hot 97 and now he hella kickin back, time flies bro.
I remember when my ass had aids that was real
Need the full hour
is this the earl d riders section.
@@claymanclutcher oh shit earl, what up bro
PLEASE GIMMIE AN HOUR OF THIS SHIT WITH EARL PLZ GODS
relax
I AM BEGGING

Okay drop your location and I'ma send it through 🙏
@@commaJim NO Jim! Why don't *YOU* relax, Jim!
Ain't seen Earl this comfortable in an interview. Shit was fire, wish it was longer.
The hosts are mad charismatic, genuine dudes not the plastic ass robot mfs like Conan
Das what *SHE SAID!!* 😎 Am-I-Right-Fellaz 😎 🤙!?
@@riversider2506 💀☠️
Love seeing him this comfortable fr Earl been my favorite rapper since I first heard Doris
@@riversider2506 old head
They’re so underrated especially when the guest is willing to stay longer. They need to go the Conan route and bring back that podcast and bring on past guest who would love talking to them
Facts. When Pusha T and Earl wants to talk more to you, your energy is infectious.
I miss their podcast! ☹️ Do we know for a fact it's not coming back?
Speaking off: what’s up with the podcast???
@@scteachjc who knows. They’ve always said that it’s free and we get it when we get it 😂
Big facts
Earl, Vince, and Tyler are three artists that I’m really happy for. Yeah I don’t “know” them but to see how they’ve evolved as artists/people is pretty cool to see. I started fw them when I was in like 8th grade and I’m 24 now and here they are each putting out their best work while most of their old shit still holds up.
For real
Exactlyyy!
Same here bruh, 24, been bumping these men since 9th grade
1000%
It’s crazy to watch them evolve. I remember being stoked I was Mac Miller and Tyler’s age, and it’s been a wild ride.
Yooo as a old odd future fan seeing Earl speak on the Free Earl Sweatshirt movement is dopeee 💯🔥🔥
real shit what a time!!!!! being in high school feeling like you were a part of something rapping every crazy ass lyric effortlessly 😭😭🙌 tagging everything ofwgkta!!!
that shit was corny. then earl came back rappin worse than before. certified poopoo rapper.
Agreed!!
I was in 9th grade when all that went down, it was the cringiest shit ive ever seen. There was a few lil tags or marks on desks saying free Earl. Which im sure it was all done by atleast 1 wierd kid.
Odd Future was fun and exciting for me in a music sense since it was right on time for high school, but god damn id feel resentment if a bunch of kids were being fucking wierd about me
If Earl Sweatshirt, the same dude who made an album titled "I Don't Like Sh*t I Don't Go Outside", and promised you he hasn't been outside in a minute cause he's been living what he wrote, can pop up on a Desus & Mero show, complaining about how folks had to stay indoors for three years due to COVID...
...there's hope for you and I.
As yet underrated comment 👌🏾
You dropped this on your way out
🤌🏽 👑
Can u relax bro 😂 tighten up
He's also talking in the point of view as a musician who couldn't go out and work
they could really do full length interviews like 30-45 minutes i think everyone would watch that
I love this interview. Earl seems like he's 16 and 36 at the same time.
The youngest old man that you know
@@dylanmurphy9389 solace
Wish this was longer. We don’t get too much Earl in the media
YOU HEAR THAT THEBE? WE THE PEOPLE WANT MAW
LETTUCE MILK…. That’s a deep cut fr bro had me actually on the floor laughing as a kid 😂
The way Tyler blew up on the motorcycle 😭😭😭😭🤣🤣🤣
Hands down one of the most underrated REAL MC's out. Earl is the only reason I looked out for Odd Future releases. Props to the brand for bringing him on.
Dominicanaaaaa
100% Facts. Earl's hands down one of best new lyricist.
earl went from multisyllabic gibberish to monotone nostalgia. dude trash.
@@daveychatman358 new is a bit ambitious lol. he’s been rapping for like 13 years
@@ostrich.. And? JayZ was rapping for 15 years before he dropped his first major album and he was considered "new" then. Earl's a "new" mc compared to the current greatest Mc's because he's not marketed on the same level as a Kendrick, Cole etc. But he's CERTAINLY on their level.
Earl x Alchemist?! I need it.
To see Earl smiling and being happy and laughing and having such a great time makes me happy. He is so dope man.
You sleeping! He has many tracks with alchemist
You definitely sleeping. They're touring with action bronson right now too

shit made me lol foreal🤣
this man fr had me googling lettuce milk lmfao
When Earl yells ‘that’s right Brian!’ After that fly kick always gets me 😂
The end tho 😂😂😂😂
Rare af I didn't even know Earl still did interviews.
he did a bunch before his album dropped dude lol
If y'all ever come back to the podcast, please bring Earl on. That shit would be immaculate
"I was a, undercooked... n*gga" 🤣😂🤣😂

Bless y’all for this one. Sly Tendencies in the building is a tuff interview.
Dammit. The boys just set the bar high again. This is the latest, greatest interview they've ever done!
Dude is just one of those people that clearly is very intelligent. It's always so easy to see and/or hear, not from the stuff that people who don't get it might expect, but from all the small details. Love his music, love to see him in a good place.
You guys got him so chill, u need to sit back for the hour atleast get into all of it. Be the best interview of all time
Seeing the progression Earl has made is dope, nice to see him in a good headspace. And they all have chemistry, only good vibes in this interview
This clip was 🔥 Love you guys
I needed that rn
Earl is the kind of success story that encourages me as a underground artist with a small following. Seeing how he’s developed his skills and slowly blown up after seizing each and every opportunity he’s been giving has been inspirational! Mans has quickly become a mainstay in the industry and for good reason. Dude is too nice! I know if I put in the work, I can reach a larger audience some day too, but for now, I’m happy being a supporter. My turn will come too. Salute to Earl🔥
@MIKEY777 holy shit youre right
@MIKEY777 Thanks broski!!!

I’m from the Bronx and I remember like 2011-2012 watching the Earl video for the first time, shit was so fire to me cuz there wasn’t anything like it at that time. Crazy to see the progression, when artists make music they can never imagine who they’ll reach, nigga Earl from LA and was affecting the youth culture in New York and elsewhere at a young age
Facts bro me too I knew he was gonna pop lyrics on another level
I LOVE THIS
You can tell Earl really is comfortable and just having a fun conversation with them. Love this interview.

I really enjoyed this interview w/ Earl S. It was more relaxed with the host. D & M are always funny & entertaining! Here they were able to let loose- and go deeper into Hip-Hop culture.
