Classic Pubcast ...Lord I've missed you guys 😁 Daz......you've just condemned me to room 101😢...I'd move to Svalbard in a heartbeat ,all that space, nature & most importantly ....very few people 😅 As for the polar bears ...only about 5 people have been killed by them on Svalbard since the 1970's so no big problem . Off to catch up on episode 2 now , keep'em coming 👍
Welcome back gents ... absolute gold! ... I had visions of Gary having ot call an ambulance to be cut out of his girdle, but ballons and Adam's chair collapsing to one side, Dave's comment about sailing " standing in a cold shower ripping up £50 notes" was brilliant. Someone get Daz some longer arms!
Fabulous start to season 5! Not even five minutes in, and absolute chaos, Gary on fine form early on, and some proper belly laughs along the way. But where’s Daz’s lovely leather chair? Even during the serious bits, it was a really good watch this evening. Top moments 🤔 Gary - your story about your mate dying. The momentary absolute silence when you said that, with the facial expressions was priceless. Brought back memories of humour on the ambulances 🫢 Adam breaking his chair, and if course the balloons. Can’t wait for the next one, thanks guys. Oh, and I reckon I could live in Svalbard for a year.
Welcome back guys, brilliant.. I Could never sell my camera equipment even though I’ve not used it in over a year. I’ve just had a knee replacement and before that I couldn’t walk. It’s been hell not being able to go out with the camera. Hopefully not too long now until I can walk out and about again. 🎉🎉
Woohoo 🥳 haven't even watched it yet but I was thinking today, it must be back soon and then boom, here it is. Good to see you back guys, my Sunday evening is complete again.
Darren, I found Oradour-Sur-Glane in France fascinating, I did take a small number of photographs but like you I too lowered my camera to start with. After a few minutes I returned to taking some photographs but with the historical context in mind and was as respectful as I could be. I had a similar frame of mind when visiting the Mulberry Harbour and Normandy beaches and cemeteries. At the time I was a teacher and often did an assembly on Remembrance, these photographs were extremely useful in making the history more realistic to my students. Gary my winge is cyclists on the road when they have a decent empty cycle path next to them. No I couldn’t live in Svalbard, I wouldn’t mind visiting somewhere similar but less dangerous.
An excellent hour & a half entertainment. Welcome back. Agree totally with Gary’s comment regarding 14 year olds visiting Auschwitz. When we went, there were quite a few groups of teenagers queuing waiting to go in. As teenagers do they were laughing and joking with each other. However seeing them when they came out it was a different story. No laughing and no joking. What they had seen and heard had really affected them. A real education.
We visited the Cambodian killing fields and the s21 site etc before we moved back to the UK. There were people there photographing the memorial of skulls and the killing tree etc, I didn't even take a camera with me as I have the same view as Gary, time and a place etc
I would have absolutely no problem living in Svalbard for 12 months or perhaps spend 12 months resurrecting one of those abandoned houses in the northern Hebrides but ultimately I want to be closer to woods. PS: Welcome back ;-7
great content as alway stotally agree with what you should and shouldnt photograph .Thanks for the watch recommendations too oh Another good thing I treated myself to the latest Thomas Heaton calendar ,so made up as they say up here. What would you sell topic ,well wouldnt sell my gear but if I was too it would be a trip to The Falklands ,a sI worked there on a sheep farm way back in 1973 stayed till 1977 too ,so much more anyway see ya regards steve
i remeber at around 12yrs old watching the television showing of 1984 and thinking that could never happen, now at eighty i feel we have come very close if not actualy at there.
Yer back, I thought you might have mentioned Cole Thompson and his Ghosts of Auschwitz photos. I'm right up there with Dave and Adam on effing tourists, sadly living in the Scottish highlands we then get invaded by photographers and workshops! Barstewards the lot of them 😁
Egg is used to clarify the wine during making process . We had a guest take a reaction to a glass of wine . She had a dairy allergy unknown to our staff as it's not listed on the wine bottle the person drank from ..
On the too inappropriate to photograph topic. I was recently in central Australia at Uluru and Kata Juta where more and more of these natural wonders have been deemed as being culturally sensitive and photography is prohibited in those areas and no photos at all of the area are to be shared online or sold without getting permission and paying for a licence. All images still are vetted if anything culturally sensitive is in them. I understand that some things are sensitive, but when it comes to natural landscapes and features I question the reasoning behind it.
Watch of the week for me, if nobody has heard of him is Jimmy Mc Donnel. Wildlife amd Landscape photographer from Ireland. Outside of that the wife has forced me into MAFS and Big Brother so I think I'm going to have to get rid of her at this point..........
Right Dave, brown bears and the occasional black bears eat. Hence why they are not as dangerous as polar bears. Polar bears are twice the size and haven’t eaten for six months. But you probably know better.
@DarrenKnightPhoto ah maybe it was just a generalisation that he can't wait until Sept/Oct each year rather than this year specifically. Thought for a moment you were all a bunch of frauds haha

PS: Welcome back ;-7
If I sold my gear I could see picking up a day sailor, not that it would cover much of one.
Welcome back gents, and a full crew too 😉👍🏻 you've been missed .... but what has Daz done with his chair ?
wish I'd found this sooner!
Give it time, you'll soon wish you hadn't!! 😂👍
@@DGriffGallery Still cheaper than visiting Miss Whiplash in town...👀

I’d be up for 12 months in Svalbard. Sounds great.

@@thevalleywalker 😄 he was having major problems with his internet connection and constantly froze throughout recording.

What is the most over hyped Camera Brand ???
Hmm, when was this filmed? Adam mentioned he can't wait until September/October when all the tourists have gone?
It was recorded 48 hours ago 🍺
Friday evening Peter 🙂
