      Gurpreet Sandhu same my teacher teaches it and if a person doesn’t get what we’re doing his motto look up how to do the problem or if that doesn’t work ask a friend and if that doesn’t work come to me but then when you go to him he says ask a friend and my thing is I did ask a friend and she helped me get it all done and then later she got her paper back and she did every single equation wrong so that meant I got every equation wrong

    Guys just remember when you want to find the x-intercept without having to draw a table just make y=0 eg. y = 2x + 4
    0 = 2x + 4
    -4 = 2x
    -4/2 = 2x/2
    -2 = x-intercept
    The x-intercept is the same as the y-intercept as the function of showing you where the line crosses on the x-axis.
    Hope this helped!

    Khan Academy, thank you. I'm trying to catch up with my algebra (knowledge and understanding-wise) which I think I missed a year's worth of. I never really understood the concepts in class (mostly because my classmates are a bit too talkative, even when the teacher is discussing) but you explain them in a way I understand. Bless you.

    @deppressed1 math was my most hated subject. i paid no attention in class cause i didnt want to disrupt the class about anything i didnt understand, thus leaving me clueless as to how things in algebra worked. i barely passed my math courses in high school. but, after completing the first linear equations video and doing the practice sets, i got hooked. i became addicted to math. my room doesnt have working light so i went on a problem solving streak with just the light from my computer screen.

      It's not one over. I'll give you this problem y = -2x + 3 and you start the x's with negative 1 so you'd then take that -2 and times it by that x which would be -1 then because of that +3 at the end of the equation you'd add to the overall total being 5.
