Dyne dying is a must. We want Aerith to live (and she might) like always but Dyne is someone that his fate should never change because he will only suffer more if he lived. It’s pointless and I can’t wait for this scene with Barret.
They are giving us a new storyline with this trilogy and that’s what should be. We are waiting 15 years for a trilogy and it’s exciting to get new story elements and twists.

Ok. This answers what Sephiroth's endgame is, which is "to sail the vastness of the cosmos using this planet as a vessel". This theory doesn't contradict what Nomura said that ultimately the trilogy will connect to Advent Children in the end. However, there are still questions left. What does Sephiroth mean when he said to Cloud in the Edge of Creation that "Careful now. that which lies ahead does not yet exist. Our world will become a part of it one day." also we have that 7 seconds till the end thing. There is also this theme of "trying to defy destiny" and "changing fates". How does all of that tie in with this theory?

the leak is correct so far : you can see Jessie still alive in the trailer, and part of some Gold Saucer play/tv show ... so if the rest of the leak is true then, End of game has Zack saving Aerith from getting stabbed but it turns out Aerith is being used by Minerva as a vessel and transforms into her. Genesis also appears and has planned this entire alter(n)ate timeline to happen. He merges with her becoming The Warrior of Light. Cloud tries to intervene but gets mortally wounded by him. Game ends with Cloud dying in Tifa's arms with Zack taking the mantle as the leader of the party. The Cloud that was with Zack from the alternate timeline is kidnapped by Sephiroth for some reason.
All I know is, there is no explanation for why Zack is talking to Marlene where the main group left her, and yet Aerith is also there when she was shown to be taken by Shinra, and is also a with main group. Aerith is literally in 3 places, is what's being presented

Aerith is an ancient so there might be a way to help Cloud grow stronger with some ancient magic or something that she could unlock or uncover in Game 3.
Something that I don't think has actually mentioned is that the weapons look like sin from final fantasy 10. Also that the afterlife. Aka the far planes are actually physical In ff10.

Random thing but I assume it's "Dyne" as in hair "dye" with an "N" on the end. Specifically because he is a coal-miner and probably got his name from the word "Dynamite." That's my assumption anyway. Also if his name was pronounced "Dean" they probably would just have spelled it that way. Haven't watched all of the video. But my takeaway is that Zack has died, but his consciousness hasn't returned to the heart of the planet, due to Sephiroth destroying the Whispers (and effectively subverting his own end goal, or at least Jenova's end goal of reaping the planet.) This is something we know Aerith achieved in the OG game, but it was never really explained. Now we know. I view the whispers as the black lifestream or the flow of fate. They guide dying souls to the heart of the planet to their demise where they can then be reborn anew. With Jenova being the ultimate Whisper who is guiding the entire Planet to its ultimate fate (an inevitable collision course with Meteor.) I think Sephiroth is partly in thrall to Jenova's will, but part of him also resists Jenova, he has his own free will (due to being half monster, but also half human.) So that's why the light side of himself gathered up all the whispers that will ensure the victory of Meteor, and goaded Cloud into destroying them. Thus, creating the world where Zack and Aerith now have free will to defy the destiny of the world and stop Meteor. And we've seen this in the OG... it ends with the summoning of the lifestream which stops the apocalypse. Sephiroth is still pure evil in Cloud's world for sure. But in this limbo world with Zack (and soon, Aerith) Sephiroth might be a half-redeemed character as the whispers and Jenova hold no sway here. Jenova's grip on Sephiroth is weakened in Zack's world. This may also explain why we very mysteriously get a fully playable Sephiroth in the Nibelheim flashback, yet we don't get fully playable Cid or Vincent until Part 3. Because he may even be a party member. The Remakes will be the same story as OG FF7. Only we are getting more information about what Jenova is, what the black lifestream and the whispers are, what's going on in Sephiroth's mind, and what happens with Aerith when she dies and suddenly returns at the end of the game to save the world.

Everyone who dies in Clouds timeline wakes up in zacks, Biggs is another example, he died but then woke up in Zacks timeline, it’s a weird “rebirth by sleep” theory

You're 100% correct. Aerith will wake up in zacks timeline after she is killed in the main timeline. It's a great way of keeping aerith alive for the rest of the game. And what you said about aerith influencing red and cid makes so much sense, especially if square want to go down the non offensive route 😂 Reunion, when worlds merge. Aerith, zack and biggs are gonna end up merging with the main timeline after aerith is initially killed, that's why tifa, barret and reds deaths won't matter in zacks timeline. But the big plot twist I think we will see is, zack will start to degrade. There's no solid evidence as to why zack didn't degrade. Only presumptions from hojo. Maybe it was because it was delayed and he died before he could degrade. I would assume, since zack and aerith are meant to be together in the lifestream, aerith will still leave the party at the end of rebirth in some way. What's sephirths end goal? To have cloud join Reunion! We see it in the trailer. Sephiroth won't allow cloud to go to mideel and regain his strength. He wants cloud to be a part of his new physical form. Without cloud who can stop sephiroth? That's why zacks in the game. Not only to introduce the PLAYER to the timelines, but also to stop sephirth! Zack will show up in the main timeline as Reunion is happening and save cloud right before he jumps off the cliff. Its a good way of having another random sephiroth final boss fight lol. Zack v sephorth, zack gets mortally wounded and cloud regains himself and defeats sephiroth. Maybe even a zack and cloud v sephirth fight and then zack will reveal he's gonna die from degradation anyway. Would be a great way of ending the game. It does leave the question as to where part 3 will go though. How would the game play out any other way apart from sephorth losing as usual? That's where the guy in the black cloak comes into it. The guy in the black cloak isn't jenova, but possibly her partner who was with her when they crash landed. Maybe he escaped the fight with the cetra after seeing jenova mortaly wounded, and will explain to us who or what jenova actually is, and why they want the lifesource of planets. If sephirth is truly from the future, which is confirmed true, he knows where jenovas head is. He knows where it is!! And if that cloak guy gets wind of that, then holy shit. That's all I'm saying. Maybe future sephirth, in part 3, won't be the bad guy any more. The possibilities are endless with part 3, and we will need to play rebirth before even considering theorising on it 😂
It will still be sad watching aertith die as cloud and the gang are gonna experience it like they did in the original game. And it's possible timeline aerith could stay in the party after rebirth ends, and tell zack she will see him again after they defeat sephiroth. It would be a beautiful way to end the trilogy, to have those 2 reunite in the timeline. The term rebirth is so fitting to have aerith be reborn again and stay in the game until the end, and we will still get "that scene" in full HD glory At the end of the day, aerith is the one who is gonna save the world, she's the one who knows sephorths plan, she has to. That's why she joins avalanche in zacks timeline, she needs zack to figure out what happened to her, so he can save cloud. Its always been aerith. She's the key to everything
I think you're maybe overthinking the story. Zack isn't crossing dimensions to save Cloud or any of that. They set up what has happened to Zack in the Chapter involving Jessie's dad. He died, but his soul has not returned to the heart of the planet. The same thing will happen to Aerith. And this is exactly what happened in the OG game too. It's how Aerith avoided melding with the lifestream upon her death, and how she was able to summon forth the lifestream at the end of the OG game. Simplify your theory. The events will still unfold the exact same way, it's just that we are getting a new angle on the themes of the game. We get to see HOW Aerith summons the lifestream at the end. We are learning about the Black Lifestream (i.e. the Whispers) who guide the souls toward the heart of the planet to their final fate. And how Jenova is the goddess of this black lifestream who is trying to guide the planet itself to its fate. I also think the implication of all this, is that Sephiroth is ultimately responsible for defeating the Whispers, which allows Aerith to hold onto her free will and find Zack in the lifestream, and reunite with him. And this means Sephiroth is also ultimately responsible for stopping Meteor too. The white feathers could symbolise that this is a place where Sephiroth is free of Jenova's influence and has the free will to fight against the more monstrous nature than was forced upon him at conception. Btw, Jenova didn't crash down with any human companion or anything. Jenova is a force of nature. A dark goddess. The ultimate deity and personification of death and destiny. She is to the black lifestream what Minerva is to the white lifestream. She is the FF7 equivalent of the devil. You shouldn't view her as a character, but rather the embodiment of a theme... the inevitability of death. Jenova is like a judgment day come to reap the planet when its life has become corrupted and it is time for the planet to die. The Cetra halted this, but they died off and now corrupted humans have set her end-goal loose by doing these crazy experiments with Mako and Sephiroth. Hojo is basically as evil as it gets for a human. Aerith is as good as it gets for a human (which is why she is a Cetra who are pure.) And Sephiroth is half evil, half human. A man who didn't choose to be a monster, but is given the choice to be humane, and I think the ReTrilogy is trying to tell that story. Try to approach your theorising not from plot points, but from the themes of the game, and how they might be explored. Sephiroth will "lose" like he did in the original game. But in a sense, Sephiroth will also "win" because the humanity in him is what trips up his own evil plans.

I think you are onto something when you state that the world Zack is on is not an alternate timeline but a form of purgatory. Maybe it's some life stream shit that will ultimately culminate by the third game to defeat Sephiroth once and for all with Zack's help on the lifestream purgatory and Cloud in the real world.
So what you're trying to say is Zack and Aerith are still technically in the lifestream which would make them technically still dead. That's a disappointing story.
Not with Nomura in the mix, & the current writer being a fan of Godfather. Also the latter had originally wanted us to choose 3 characters to survive after the return to Midgar in the OG, & we’ve Nomura to thank for that not happening. So yeah, we’re in for one heck of a ride.
This is how I'm seeing it. Cloud and Zack were already announced as dead in CC. So in the previous trailer, we only saw the other get announced as dead so the Turks can hunt them down but not Cloud as he was announcedas dead in CC. And as we can already see, Zack is still alive at the end of FF7R, as we him going to Midgar. The whispers coulda brought him back, IDK. At the end of the DLC, he still has the Buster Sword walking into the church. We see worried and shocked look upon his face... Now in this new trailer from the Game Awards, we see Aerith on a coma as possible new story or backstory element, but we also see Zack still alive with Cloud, who is still out of it from Nibelheim. Just my guess but se might see someone from CC as the person or clone or said person (not spoiling CC) who could have attacked Aerith and put her into a coma. Now we also see Biggs and Marlene in the new Game Awards trailer. If this is a past backstory event, Marlene not remembering Cloud or Aerith from it could make since as she is just a kid. She probably never got a good look of Clouds face, a good reason not to remember him. And lest be real, who here remembered faces that well when we were kids. But Biggs could be a side plot with being Zack in game as we all know he's still alive. And IDR who said it but I recall hearing that well also play as Zack in this game, weather or not this is true, will see when the time comes.

Reunion, when worlds merge. Aerith, zack and biggs are gonna end up merging with the main timeline after aerith is initially killed, that's why tifa, barret and reds deaths won't matter in zacks timeline. But the big plot twist I think we will see is, zack will start to degrade. There's no solid evidence as to why zack didn't degrade. Only presumptions from hojo. Maybe it was because it was delayed and he died before he could degrade. I would assume, since zack and aerith are meant to be together in the lifestream, aerith will still leave the party at the end of rebirth in some way.
What's sephirths end goal? To have cloud join Reunion! We see it in the trailer. Sephiroth won't allow cloud to go to mideel and regain his strength. He wants cloud to be a part of his new physical form. Without cloud who can stop sephiroth? That's why zacks in the game. Not only to introduce the PLAYER to the timelines, but also to stop sephirth!
Zack will show up in the main timeline as Reunion is happening and save cloud right before he jumps off the cliff. Its a good way of having another random sephiroth final boss fight lol. Zack v sephorth, zack gets mortally wounded and cloud regains himself and defeats sephiroth. Maybe even a zack and cloud v sephirth fight and then zack will reveal he's gonna die from degradation anyway. Would be a great way of ending the game.
It does leave the question as to where part 3 will go though. How would the game play out any other way apart from sephorth losing as usual? That's where the guy in the black cloak comes into it. The guy in the black cloak isn't jenova, but possibly her partner who was with her when they crash landed. Maybe he escaped the fight with the cetra after seeing jenova mortaly wounded, and will explain to us who or what jenova actually is, and why they want the lifesource of planets.
If sephirth is truly from the future, which is confirmed true, he knows where jenovas head is. He knows where it is!! And if that cloak guy gets wind of that, then holy shit. That's all I'm saying. Maybe future sephirth, in part 3, won't be the bad guy any more. The possibilities are endless with part 3, and we will need to play rebirth before even considering theorising on it 😂
It will still be sad watching aertith die as cloud and the gang are gonna experience it like they did in the original game. And it's possible timeline aerith could stay in the party after rebirth ends, and tell zack she will see him again after they defeat sephiroth. It would be a beautiful way to end the trilogy, to have those 2 reunite in the timeline.
The term rebirth is so fitting to have aerith be reborn again and stay in the game until the end, and we will still get "that scene" in full HD glory
At the end of the day, aerith is the one who is gonna save the world, she's the one who knows sephorths plan, she has to. That's why she joins avalanche in zacks timeline, she needs zack to figure out what happened to her, so he can save cloud. Its always been aerith. She's the key to everything
I think you're maybe overthinking the story. Zack isn't crossing dimensions to save Cloud or any of that. They set up what has happened to Zack in the Chapter involving Jessie's dad. He died, but his soul has not returned to the heart of the planet. The same thing will happen to Aerith. And this is exactly what happened in the OG game too. It's how Aerith avoided melding with the lifestream upon her death, and how she was able to summon forth the lifestream at the end of the OG game.
Simplify your theory. The events will still unfold the exact same way, it's just that we are getting a new angle on the themes of the game. We get to see HOW Aerith summons the lifestream at the end. We are learning about the Black Lifestream (i.e. the Whispers) who guide the souls toward the heart of the planet to their final fate. And how Jenova is the goddess of this black lifestream who is trying to guide the planet itself to its fate.
I also think the implication of all this, is that Sephiroth is ultimately responsible for defeating the Whispers, which allows Aerith to hold onto her free will and find Zack in the lifestream, and reunite with him. And this means Sephiroth is also ultimately responsible for stopping Meteor too. The white feathers could symbolise that this is a place where Sephiroth is free of Jenova's influence and has the free will to fight against the more monstrous nature than was forced upon him at conception.
Btw, Jenova didn't crash down with any human companion or anything. Jenova is a force of nature. A dark goddess. The ultimate deity and personification of death and destiny. She is to the black lifestream what Minerva is to the white lifestream. She is the FF7 equivalent of the devil. You shouldn't view her as a character, but rather the embodiment of a theme... the inevitability of death. Jenova is like a judgment day come to reap the planet when its life has become corrupted and it is time for the planet to die. The Cetra halted this, but they died off and now corrupted humans have set her end-goal loose by doing these crazy experiments with Mako and Sephiroth.
Hojo is basically as evil as it gets for a human. Aerith is as good as it gets for a human (which is why she is a Cetra who are pure.) And Sephiroth is half evil, half human. A man who didn't choose to be a monster, but is given the choice to be humane, and I think the ReTrilogy is trying to tell that story. Try to approach your theorising not from plot points, but from the themes of the game, and how they might be explored. Sephiroth will "lose" like he did in the original game. But in a sense, Sephiroth will also "win" because the humanity in him is what trips up his own evil plans.

They really KH-fied him lol. Even if it's bc Aerith awakened his memories i'd still prefer if he was an ass and see his development play out in HD than have it cut short bc of her. Literally the only thing i didn't like, everything else was fantastic. It's crazy how good everything keeps looking.
Maybe Cid just has a soft spot for Aerith. He can still be an ass to everyone else. It would be even funnier to see him to treat Shera like s**t after being nice to Aerith.

Maybe it's some life stream shit that will ultimately culminate by the third game to defeat Sephiroth once and for all with Zack's help on the lifestream purgatory and Cloud in the real world.

This is how I'm seeing it. Cloud and Zack were already announced as dead in CC. So in the previous trailer, we only saw the other get announced as dead so the Turks can hunt them down but not Cloud as he was announcedas dead in CC. And as we can already see, Zack is still alive at the end of FF7R, as we him going to Midgar. The whispers coulda brought him back, IDK. At the end of the DLC, he still has the Buster Sword walking into the church. We see worried and shocked look upon his face... Now in this new trailer from the Game Awards, we see Aerith on a coma as possible new story or backstory element, but we also see Zack still alive with Cloud, who is still out of it from Nibelheim. Just my guess but se might see someone from CC as the person or clone or said person (not spoiling CC) who could have attacked Aerith and put her into a coma. Now we also see Biggs and Marlene in the new Game Awards trailer. If this is a past backstory event, Marlene not remembering Cloud or Aerith from it could make since as she is just a kid. She probably never got a good look of Clouds face, a good reason not to remember him. And lest be real, who here remembered faces that well when we were kids. But Biggs could be a side plot with being Zack in game as we all know he's still alive. And IDR who said it but I recall hearing that well also play as Zack in this game, weather or not this is true, will see when the time comes.
