Roof Top Tent Falls Off in Dinosaur National Monument

Family of 5 loses their roof top tent while adventuring in Dinosaur National Monument. This is their journey to try and find the tent in a snow storm. If they find it undamaged can they hoist it back on the their truck?

Great outlook to have in a challenging and tough situation. We just recently had our RTT fall off our trailer while on a trip in Death Valley. We were lucky enough to have someone watch it fall and stop us just as we were a few hundred feet away. It was shocking and scary at the time but we were so lucky and fortunate to have help and like you said it makes for a great bonding and funny story.

I spent the first two months of extensive travel worrying about the tent coming off the roof of my Liberty. It hasn't - thank the fates. but at every third or fourth stop I check the bolts and only lightly hand-tighten but I haven't had to do much of that after the first few weeks or so. I feel for you, seriously. I'm always happy someone put it up on the side of the road rather than take it. Whoever that was performed a mitzvah.

Truly a good Samaritan. Really wish we could thank them properly. It will take a while for our paranoia to wear off so we won't be checking bolts at every stop.

Is your tacoma grey or red? ..I noticed in your other video the tacoma was grey...
