Great video which succinctly sums up the joy of trout spey and its benefits for our steelhead game. Thank you.
Nice Video very good trout fishing
Very informative and gently educational video. One of the best on the subject. Thank you.
Thanks Paul! I'm glad you found it useful. Feel free to ask any further questions k.
gona buy a 4wt one next year 😊
Definitely one of our favourite, and most used weights of rods.
Great stuff
We appreciate that! There will be more educational videos as soon as the water is liquid again.
Great video. What size Bougle is that?
Nice info. What's the longest and heaviest sink tip and fly a 3wt can comfortably throw?
We like to stick to 10ft tips on those rods, go with the lighter series. For example the Rio 3D Mow tips in their Lightweight. Airflo Polyleaders are a good choice up to 10ft and you can use various sink rates. We usually like something around a Sink 5 roughly for the Bow when fishing deeper winter holes or fast water streamer fishing early summer, and then transition to Sink 3 or INT tips into the late summer, or fall season. Generally we would stick to tips under 100 grains, and avoid bigger flies with lead eyes. 3wts are great for buggers, soft hackles, and leech patterns though.
What reel is that? Looks great.
That's a Hardy Bougle, 3.75" They are beauties but unfortunately not manufactured any more. There is a market for them used though.
What brand is your fly line? Thanks
We love the Airflo Skagit Scout series for our microspeys. We also carry the OPST products. We have a video on our channel comparing the two lines with each other.
Seriously 60fps? Come on Chris and Jordan should know better.....
