  • Team, on this episode we installed OPGI A-Arms and BMR 1 inch lowering springs. I will do an updated video later to show the stance. also, wanted to put out a disclaimer on the install, because mistakes were made! I ended up loosening up the suspension because I forgot you have to tighten everything up once the car is on the ground and on all fours. MY BAD!! but I decided to still published the video. Because, sometimes mistakes teach us far more than success. additionally, Im a big believer in constructive criticism and appreciate anyone who is willing to share feedback, or point out where I have flawed . As usual friends for entertainment purposes only.

I wish I would have seen this video before I installed my BMR lowers! I would have greased them before I put them on. I ended up putting 90 degree fittings in mine. Thanks for a great video.

Can’t wait to see how she sits! I stayed with my old stock springs with drag shocks and it looks cool, but I’m gonna switch to KYB’s for a smoother front end & because I miss the raked look

yeah I had the rake look too, with the nose slightly higher than the rear. My brother had told me that his car lifted up higher from the front after the opgi a arms, because of that huge rubber isolater where the spring sits. I didn't want it to point up even higher on my car, since it was already slightly raked up, thats why I just opted for the 1 inch drop. and tbh I didn't want to lower it much cause my headers hang real low. hopefully I end up with a leveled look, since the arms have that huge rubber isolator, might compensate. fingers crossed.

I’m sure it’ll be ok, I used no isolators when I did mine and it came out leveled

Love the series man! This has really helped me out a beginner like me on my El Camino build.

Looking to do a front end rebuild as well. Coils/Upper and lower arms, ball joints, coils. Im looking at the same set you bought. How have they been, it's been over a year since you've installed them. Also, did the car lower at all with the coils? I'm looking to lower my 72 chevelle either 1 or 2 inches.

Those are Cotter pins with an O.....the slotted nuts are castle nuts.

hahaha thanks for that, I think I need to step it up with my omega 3s because half the time I don't remember proper terminology on things. To be honest, I didn't know they were called castle nuts, but now I will never forget.

@@gsfootage5959 its cool, not everyone has been doing this since the 70's Its easy to see why they are castle nuts.
