See, I love the Order of Virtuous Blood quest. There is a slight glitch however, where if you're a vampire Seridur will say "Hello, brother." Kinda spoiled the plot twist lol.
I bet it was put in there intentionally to show just how inept all of them really are.
Somehow i doubt it was a glitch. When you think about how much was put into Oblivion was it really a glitch?
There's more of a thing with it; during the quest for the Mage's Guild, to appease Janus Hasildor, you need to remove some vampire hunters and a group of vampires. NORMALLY, you'd just be able to chuck that dust straight at Roland Jens-Eric's face for a nice 250 septim in return, but if you try and turn that specific dust from those vampires in, you are told "go kill some vampires and bring back proof". This vampire dust has a different weight than "regular" dust, so code-wise, it counts as a completely different item, and Roland Jens-Eric won't accept it.
@@QaRajhCreations Wait, what? I turned in the dust from those vampires without an issue. I even let the vampire hunters go hunting, pick up the slack and one of them had a lot of dust for me to collect.
@@QaRajhCreations on the other hand, put one of that vampire dust into the magical chest in the arch-mage's quarters, and you get 11 regular vampire dust.
All paintbrushes in the Oblivion world are magical. The magic paintbrush of that guy is nothing special when you remember that the average paintbrush can defy the laws of gravity.
In the Siren's quest, if you play as a girl. the ladies as you to join them. Later you don't actually get the option to and stop them. I was disappointed, I actually wanted to join them lol.

There's one other little thing I really liked about Order of the Virtuous Blood:
In Oblivion, high elves are weak to magic. Vampires are weak to fire. Seridur is a high elf _and_ a vampire, meaning he is _extremely_ vulnerable to fire attacks, and since I always play a destruction mage on my first playthrough, I had plenty of fire spells to use on him. Taking advantage of elemental weaknesses is always fun, and it was extra fun in that quest, because the weaknesses were so apparent. It's very satisfying to see 90% of an enemy's health disappear with a single spell.

I loved how the vampire hunters quest gave you pretty much invinite source of gold and experience for hunting vampires in Imperial City sewers.

What about The Shadow over Hackdirt? That was one of the few quests that made me feel genuinely heroic, and it's an homage to one of the best H.P. Lovecraft stories to boot.

I just discovered this page yesterday and am dying with laughter! Please do another vid about the top Oblivion quests because, frankly, even the some of the worst quests in Oblivion are better than most quests in Skyrim imo. Love your humor and editing style for these videos. Keep it up!

The Dark brotherhood whodunit quest is easily one of my favourites there are a bunch of ways to get it done and all are valid

I really liked the quest where you go into a guy’s dream in Bravil.
Without a doubt, my favorite quest in Oblivion is the Dark Brotherhood contract where you have to murder all the party guests without anyone knowing you were the murderer.
I have always found that quest to be overrated, simply because they all have 1 HP and the quest doesn't play out any differently if you kill them all in creative, secretive ways rather than just walking up to them and one shotting them in in view of the others.
It's a great concept that was poorly executed.

Great video. And damn, Oblivion had amazing quests. You should probably make yet another one of these because there are so many good quests. The one where you help a village of invisible people break their curse, the Anvil manor one, abd most of the Dark Brotherhood Quests honestly :P
And if we count Shivering Isles, there are some amazing ones aswell. An investigation where you travel with a guy that can torture the peope being interogated, helping ghost soldiers break from reliving their last battle over and over again, playing dungeon master and driving a bunch of adventures insane with puzzles... man i miss Oblivion ^^

This was fun to watch and while I also played and enjoyed Oblivion, the fact that most of your commentary is poking fun at the silliness of the game, does sort of beg the question as to why you (we?) love it so much, given this is a 'best of'.
I think that silliness is exactly why we love it so much. It's a perfect balance between genuine fantasy adventure and goofyness.

i've done that quest so many time and i never noticed the sky changing... this game is still full of things to find.
I forgot all about that quest with the goblins and the village etc, that was crazy!!! Oblivion had some cool quests, and made use of some things that Skyrim should have used a little more. They did have that quest where you start driving and end up in I think it was markarth? And then there was a cool one like that when you first arrive in solstheim from what I remember. And I forgot all about a brush with dead too! This game was awesome !!!
I can't wait to get this game in the summer steam sale, I've been putting off getting it cause its old but I can mod it to look good and I want to play it and morrowind
+Calvin Turner Ya the mods certainly make it much more attractive. If you need a guide on it I would recommend checking out MetaGoblin's video on how to remaster oblivion. The Overhaul mod for Morrowind is also really great and extensive.

I did the 2nd one by accident, I was doing the thieves guild and told to wait in imperial city for a thief to talk to me, not really paying attention I thought she was the thief until I started killing vampires, was still a good quest tho

The Elder Scrolls have to be the only games where the side quests are better than the main quests. I don’t know how they do it lmao
The best part of the fighters guild is you can see the guys painting after he retires to learn to paint, although I wish you could stick with the Blackwood company.

Also keep in mind if you do sanguine’s quest before the thieves guild quest where you steal the countess’s ring, you won’t be able to find the ring in the jewelry box when she sleeps and you won’t be able to complete the thieves guild quest line

I liked that quest you get from the argonian in the bravil mages guild where you have to enter her friends dream to save him.
Imagine if there was a side quest about a vampire who only sucks the blood of guilty prisoners in jail. He would explain he’s been doing this for years to you, the player, but he wants to make sure the prisoners really did commit crimes or were simply framed, as he is a vampire who needs blood basically but he doesn’t want to hurt those who don’t deserve it.
