Both are big strong QBs who are extremely intelligent. Struggled early in NCAA before hitting transfer portal and lighting it up with new teams. 2nd round pick evaluations. Heisman finalists in SR years. Only difference is that Nix had over 77% completion rate and 4500+ yards passing in his final season before the draft
How do the chargers not need an edge rusher? They have the one good young kid and two aging rushers, one of which plays 6 games a year. I will say that Harbaugh can pry find one in the nid rounds because of his recruiting intelligence.

If they run the ball more, then it's a common sense adjustment. If they had ran it more with LT, they might have had a Super Bowl. Trade for Jonathan Taylor or draft whomever that is.
So what he's saying (4:45) is that Brock Purdy is a "system quarterback". Why do people think that's a bad thing? Kyle Shanahan's "system" requires someone with intelligence and the ability to think quickly when the defense causes disruption in the play that was called. The system requires a fast decision maker that can think for himself when the play goes off script, and he needs "enough" athletic ability to execute the throws with just enough scrambling ability to keep the play alive. That is what Brock Purdy is and does. He is an intelligent young man that can think for himself when the play goes off script, yet he is smart enough to execute the plays the way that Kyle Shanahan wants them run. Obviously, not every quarterback can pull it off, that's why Brock Purdy has that job and is excelling at it. At the end of the day, it doesn't matter if your QB can run better than many running backs, or if he can throw the ball 70 yards in the air, or if he can run over guys at the goal line..... all that matters is winning the games.
Jim Harbaugh has no record for great offensive that throw the Ball down the road. He is a cultur guy who allways had a great running game. So what the F are everybody talking that he will make Justin Herbert great ?
