    I became a Charger fan when Herbert was drafted. I along with many fans flooded the Charger account with Harbaugh is our only choice, we want Harbaugh etc. It actually all started because of you Colin when you let us know that the Spanos family was know to be cheap. It somehow got back to them and which they made it their mission to pay top dollar for Harbaugh and was their first choice! Trust me last night that's why we made loud and proud noice that the Spanos finally listen to their fans! Thank You for all of the reports and speculations. Maria

    Nix is only 18 months younger than Hurts, despite Hurts being an NFL starter for four years. Hurts is also a phenomenal athlete, Nix is a pretty good one. The comparison makes no sense.

      @Dang026 9 місяців тому

      Both are big strong QBs who are extremely intelligent. Struggled early in NCAA before hitting transfer portal and lighting it up with new teams. 2nd round pick evaluations. Heisman finalists in SR years. Only difference is that Nix had over 77% completion rate and 4500+ yards passing in his final season before the draft

    How do the chargers not need an edge rusher? They have the one good young kid and two aging rushers, one of which plays 6 games a year. I will say that Harbaugh can pry find one in the nid rounds because of his recruiting intelligence.

    bo nix is highly undervalued for a top tier prospect who has literally been a starter for like 6 years in the upper echelon of college football. As a USC fan, Caleb is hands down the best and most NFL ready prospect. but Nix is definitely not far behind in terms of being ready to start immediately. surprised how many people are actually putting jj above nix. insane.

      @TyDomi 9 місяців тому

      Your delusional Mr 😆 Nix couldn’t handle the 72nd defense twice this season and the 2nd time the pressure was on to get the PAC 12 & to the CFP 💅🏼 Caleb folded like a cheap suit against some of the worst defense in division 1A + he doesn’t handle pressure well at all 💃🏼 + he thinks he’s a god/better than everyone due to his overbearing father not keeping him in check.

    If they run the ball more, then it's a common sense adjustment. If they had ran it more with LT, they might have had a Super Bowl. Trade for Jonathan Taylor or draft whomever that is.

    So what he's saying (4:45) is that Brock Purdy is a "system quarterback". Why do people think that's a bad thing? Kyle Shanahan's "system" requires someone with intelligence and the ability to think quickly when the defense causes disruption in the play that was called. The system requires a fast decision maker that can think for himself when the play goes off script, and he needs "enough" athletic ability to execute the throws with just enough scrambling ability to keep the play alive. That is what Brock Purdy is and does. He is an intelligent young man that can think for himself when the play goes off script, yet he is smart enough to execute the plays the way that Kyle Shanahan wants them run. Obviously, not every quarterback can pull it off, that's why Brock Purdy has that job and is excelling at it. At the end of the day, it doesn't matter if your QB can run better than many running backs, or if he can throw the ball 70 yards in the air, or if he can run over guys at the goal line..... all that matters is winning the games.

    Colin can you please consider replacing JMac with John Middlekauf. I used to be a JMac fan but lately he is obnoxious and gives absurd takes (constant obsession with Brock Purdy, coming for Cam Newton) his comments on the air are out of pocket And sometimes offensive. When you take days off and he fills in for you the show is literally unwatchable. He has no chemistry with Alex Curry you can tell Alex can’t stand him either. Nobody cares about his twitter beef with Cam Newton. The guy should not be on TV. He reminds me of Tony Romo. John is way more professional, respectful, and intelligent. Hes knowledgeable about what he does and you two have amazing chemistry. Im sure JMac is a good guy and a hard worker but good lord he’s hard to listen to. Just my 2 cents

    Mahomes first superbowl total defene 7th and Purdy SB 3rd total D herberts career avge D is 30th
    That guy you had on TUES feb 6th that said Brock Purdy is better than Herbert is just lazy repoorting. No QB IN THE HISTOR OF THE SPORT HAS HAD A Defense as bbad as Herbert has had and won, Not by a long shot, the closest was NY GIANTS TOTAL D= 24th. Justin Herbert has had the worst Defense of any QB in the league averaging close to 30th over 4 years in total D. His Total D per yr in order is as follows: 28th,32nd,30,27th. He has to get rid of the balll so fast his career time for holding onto ball in pass plays is 2.4sec. Mahomes is known to be the comeback king and same with Kansas City anyway when you're looking at Herbert compared to moms on comebacks in the first 50 games it's not even close, mahomes has 6 forth comebacks and 6 game winning drives for a total of 12 4th quarter comebacks and game winning drives. Now let's look at Justin Herbert justin Herbert in 49 games has 14 game winning drives and 11 4th quarter comebacks for a total of 25 4th quarter comebacks and game winning drivers combined. Mahomes had the 7th rated total defense when he went to Super Bowl that first time. If Herbert had the RB and Defense of San fransico nobody would beat that team If herberts defense defense gave up just 28 Herbert would be 42-20 record and when looking at hisn losses, 27 of them are when the team gave up 27 or more and 5 losses came when the defense was under 27 points in their game.

    1- iN FIRST 50 games, Justin Herbert has set an NFL record with 14 game-winning drives and 11 fourth-quarter comebacks. In the same time frame, Patrick mahomeS who has been dubbed the "comeback kid" by some has 6 game-winning drives and 6 fourth-quarter comebacks ** Personally, I have watched his defense lose about 10 others after he drove down and scored, while Mahomes' defense 7TH helped him win his first Super Bowl. Herbert's defense, on the other hand, has consistently ranked 28th, 32nd, 30th, and 27th throughout his career. No quarterback has ever won with a defense ranked that poorly, with the closest being the NY Giants, whose 24th-ranked defense helped them win a Super Bowl.
