I found your videos while attempting to learn to play chess. I'm in my 30s and it's a bit intimidating but your videos have encouraged me. Your voice is very relaxing and you go through the moves at a slow pace which allows me to keep up and understand what's going on on the board 🤗 thanks to you I haven't given up on learning ✨ Thank you! I really enjoy your videos 💜
I've been practicing openings I've learned using your videos against friends and it's going surprisingly well. So its great to see a new opening to try ;)
I love you! Such an amazing experience. I wanted to take adult chess lessons in NYC but it was $125 a lesson! I do t have the patience tot watch regular chess tutorials, but I LOVE ASMR, and your style of teaching is amazing. - I’m so 🍀! Ty
I literally will use this vid to sleep straight away! Your videos are always so amazing and so helpful to forget about the stress of school and get to relax for a bit. Keep doing this!
I came to this channel for ASMR, now I just rewatch the videos eating dinner because they're some of the best opening tutorial vids out there. I want more just to get better at chess lol
Loved the video! I think an interesting idea for a video would be an extended version of the Queen's Gambit, where you could look at variations such as the Nimzo-Indian and the Catalan.
Is there a way u can do the best openings for beginners against beginners? So like common mistakes and not too strategic? If not that's ok ur channel is so amazing and I'm so glad I found it❤
at 7:55 the knight can go to g4 because after queen takes you can go d5 which attacks the bishop and queen. also it takes away some of whites development so it is winning for black
The queen doesn't have to take, I think after knight g4 white can go bishop f7, it gives a check and takes a pawn, after the king takes you can take the knight on g4 and win a better position ( d5 does not work for black after bishop takes) :) I'm not sure tho, just seems like the best solution.
Another way black may neutralize is playing bishop b3 to check and then when white blocks with knight black plays queen g5 threatening g2 and the knight simultaneously. If you sack and play queen b2 next they capture on g5 and take alot of material back
15:25 I play e5 anyway. If they dare to capture, I sacrifice Bf7+, and after Black takes my Bishop, I play Qxd8. If Black plays Ke7 instead of Kxf7, I just play Ba3+ and force either Kxf7 or, if they're really daring, Kf6, where they'll get murdered pretty quickly, and either way I can capture the Queen. This is literally a completely forced Queen loss the moment they play dxe5.
Good question! In fact your move (Qe7) is the third most played move in that position. However white gains a significant advantage by mirroring blacks move (putting their own queen in front of the king with Qe2). This renews the threat of pawn takes knight and black has no good squares. Black can try and fight by going Nh5 with the plan of Qb4+ after QxN, but white still retains their advantage if they play accurately.
I almost thought you died in a car crash or something, glad to see you back. I shit you not, my average rating dropped by about 70 while you were gone.
I'm a beginner at best, but my gut is telling me I see a good move, but because it wasn't mentioned, my head is telling me its a bad one. At 4:00 I want to play queen b3, making a battery with the white square bishop. I think that's a checkmate threat if bishop takes on f7. That's a forcing move, and I feel like forcing black to make moves when they are behind on development and their pieces are closely packed together could be a great advantage for white. What am I missing that could make this blow up in white's face? There are a few other points in the video where my beginner brain thought that a similar pattern of white square bishop battery with the queen targeting f7 could work.
Listen to your head on that one. For instance, if you move queen to b3 black can take rook on a1 and make a knight which threatens your queen on b3 and then you have to move the queen again, which gives black back some tempo. Even if black doesn’t realize they can do that, and you get your battery of queen b3 and bishop c4, black can develop by moving their knight to h6 and that prevents bishop taking f7, or they can develop the queen to e7 or f6 which then again makes white lose any real threat while black is developing. So, that battery actually doesn’t help white even though black is behind on development and their pieces are close together. With the right moves, black could make white lose the advantage. Let me know if that makes sense
4:13 I personally would play Queen f3 first. They're going to think "Hahaha, what a noob! I'm just going to make a 2nd Queen and take your Rook just like that! Now I'll win EZPZ!" And then, after they make their second Queen, you play Queen f7 - Scholar's Mate.
Thank you! No, I am nowhere near strong enough to be a chess pro. I am getting nearer and nearer being a pro chess content creator though. Please prioritize these opening videos. They are superb and unique on the internet. Please aim to have around 150 or so of these videos with openings and gambits. We are depending on you. 😅 🎉
Yes but out of 61.000 games in the lichess database d5 was only played 9000 times while Ne4 is most popular with 28.000 games. You are correct however and d5 is a winning move. The Danish is not a sound opening, it is a tricky romantic opening that is fun to play, particularly for beginners and improving players.
I tried the whole chapter thing this time. Let me know if you find it useful and think I should do more of it in upcoming videos :)
its useful for comprehension, thanks for that, its a very good video

8:45 , why dont u bring queen to f3 treating a checkmate then take knight
It’s been a while good to see a new video

Nice nice nice! Great explanation!
The biggest problem after Qb3 is that bxc1=Q is check and white is toast.
Hi there! Can you please do a tutorial on the Dutch defense? Thanks!!
LETS GO AN OPENING VIDEO AFTER WEEKS
Can someone explain me at last of video when Bishop took queen after that which moves should be take for the victory??
3 weeks worth the wait
“We’ve had one gambit, yes, but what about second gambit?” Just a casual LOTR reference, no biggie
question what happens if after pawn e5 they just bring the night back is it just a free tempo?

How is 2.d4 a gambit? I don't think that it is. The gambit, as usually played, occurs on White's 3rd move.

Hi, I have a question, how do you can play to the best possible the Danish gambit if black castle? Bye❤
Question, will you do a video on the Elephant Gambit? Also is there a crazy gambit which gambits a whole piece?

Imagine this guy at some point softly say "and after that he sacrified the rook"
Crazy gambit
Could you potentially make an opening video on the Evans gambit?
Or would there be too many lines to cover?
