    11:07 I’m just realizing now another effective measure of this gambit; black can easily castle now while white will still need to spend 3 more moves to castle king side.
    And now, the king’s white side is over-crowded and poorly structured, making black’s queen-side push very strong.

    Great video! small bit of feedback: Rubinstein's name is pronounced 'ROO-been-shtayn' in his native language [with the ‘ay’ being pronounced like 'I' in English], and 'coup de grâce' is pronounced 'kood-GRAHS' (if you pronounce it 'kood-GRAH' then you're saying 'coup de gras' which does not mean the same thing as 'coup de grâce' at all)
    Keep up the good work!! Mange tak

    for the position at 7:30
    how about Qd4 ? it defends all the pawns and attacks the knight in one move, unless I've been missing something here ?

    • @thomasshimer175
      @thomasshimer175 2 роки тому +2

      Black responds with d6, opening up the white square bishop to defend the knight while also adding an attacker to white's e5 pawn. White is left with a queen in the middle of the board, and black gets to develop their knight while also attacking the queen. The e5 pawn can't really be defended, and choosing instead to capture the d6 pawn puts white further behind in development leaving black in a really strong open position to white's single queen.

    Good video but still disappointed that you've continued to tone down the ASMR aspect of your channel.
    The tapping is the only ASMR thing left, and it's mixed so low it's barely there. Honestly, if you made the videos the exact same, but also gave the same love to the sounds and textures of the board it'd be perfect. Right now it's just quiet chess , not asmr chess.
    As an example, the 'Tingly Chess Sounds and Beautiful Moves' video has some great stuff that could be re-incorporated back into the vids.
    Still, thanks for the vids :)
