Thanks--I learned something about creatures that may be all over the place. And here I thought the closest weasels were in Richmond,

I have a least weasel (tiny weasel) running around in my back yard, I saw him today with what appears like a died mouse in his mouth he dropped it for few seconds then picked it up and ran away, he's so funny, may be I should consider myself very fortunate!!

I'll keep an eye out for these amazing little predators here in the Roanoke/Salem area, if I come across one, or if any of the cats do I'll definitely reach out. Thanks for the information.

The least weasel in the USA is way bigger than in some areas of Europe, by the way.
Do people sell least weasels for farmers to buy en masse?
