(SPOILERS) i really don't see why you all care so much about ellie's sexuality, the important thing about the kiss was how innocent it was, as well making her and riley's connection (and loss) even stronger.
Well fucking said. Very sweet moment right there between Riley and Ellie. This is part of why TLOU is on another level with its writing and performance.
Yup and also proof that it's possible to have a female main character where her huge boobs, perfect ass etc. isn't the main focus which most game developers seems to do these days. Hopefully the character Ellie will inspire game developers to make more female main characters. :)
I beat the game twice. First was in normal and took me about 3 hours. The second time was on survivor and took over 1 hour. StormWorm5364 it made me smile, laugh and almost cry too. XD
CHiLL PiLL That would be cool to see how people adapted after it first began and began to discover how to survive, plus to see more of society's collapse like the prologue
Now this is rare...a DLC that doesn't have the sole purpose of giving you shitty content while stealing your money. This is everything a DLC should be in a single player based game. Naughty Dog, you bless us all with your presence. Also, the fighting is definitely necessary. Why would you have a DLC for The Last of Us with no fighting? Zombies/infected play a MAJOR role in the game. It only makes sense to fight them too.
I think one of the key elements of The Last of Us is it's way of making you forget the world you are in and snapping you back into reality with a number of time spaced battles with the infected. Like how Ellie would snap in and out of her last day with Riley and the current day she is in.
I like how the game goes from survival to having fun. When I first started I was being careful and looking for suplies everywhere cause thats what you re used to do in the game but then I realized I could just explore the mall carefree and have fun
Anyone that beat The Last of Us MUST play this DLC. I wont spoil it for you, but it really is a must play. Ellie and Rileys story is simply awesome. 9.5/10
I think fighting was pretty necessary and it strengthened Ellie's character a lot. It shows you that she's willing to get through infected and hostile humans just to save Joel. Ellie really struggled hard to get what Joel needed and that contained at least a dozen infected. A dozen infected against a 14 year-old girl. You wouldn't get that "holy shit, she really DOES care, a lot" feeling if there was no fighting.
wtf is this guy talking about "I can't help but wonder if left behind really needed combat at all". It's still a video game, if there's no actual gameplay then you just paid money for some cutscenes.
No, a game isn't a combat simulator. Its not necessary for a game - granted, a lot of the time it is, but there are some cases where its not. You're still playing the character even if you don't get to shoot people
shooting and stabbing stuff isnt the only gameplay. Crafting, sneaking and exploring are all a big part of it as well and this game would've been more unique if there was no combat because all the combat felt forced, especially at the end. I would've preferred to just be able to use the infected to get rid of the human enemies and then sneak past whoever's left.
Can't believe that people actually say that Ellie was ruined for them because she is POSSIBLY gay. Ridiculous. People need to accept the fact that we are living in a world where it seems that gays are finally being accepted for who they are, and that's how it SHOULD be.
Kevin Edwards Dude, it's not a decision, you are biologically driven to be attracted to a particular sex, be it hetero or homosexual. People begin discovering their sexuality at about 13, younger even for girls. It's completely natural and in their case it is really touching. They were able to be together without the ridiculous judgement cast upon them from a long-gone prudish society.
Neil Druckmann said they made Ellie with the mindset that she would be gay, but I just didn't really feel that kind of connection between them. Just my POV, though. I'm sure there are others who interpreted it differently. :)
I liked the DLC, i just felt that the mall section with riley played out more like an interactive film rather than a game. It could have done with some more gameplay. Best bit has got to be the mix of human and infected combat scenarios.
But that was the beauty of the game. Those silly, special moments between the two had to be done, in order for the player to understand and place themselves in the shoes of Ellie and Riley. Those moments seemed pointless at times right? But without them, there is no drive behind the emotion--no drive behind the immersion to bring tears down your face. I thought it was beautiful, 10/10, and the way the entire game and story played out was so unique, you don't see that in video games nowadays. Whatever they did, they did it right. Thank you for reading.
Nicholaus W Coritana I heard they’re was going to be free beer here if I read your comment? 😆 I’m just kidding. But I did read all of your comment though.
Best DLC I've ever played, and I felt the combat was nessecarry.... SPOILER *SPOILER SPOILER*... You've been warned ****** The combat really demonstrates the lengths that Ellie goes to too protect Joell and as Riley says, ''We gotta fight for every minute we can spend together'', and Ellie was doing just that, THIS is in no way forced, it makes 100% sense. And Riley's little speech also added even more weight to the end of the main campaign! Nearly brought a tear to my eye :-) LOVE this DLC.
Left Behind is a little masterpiece in its own right, distilling the emotional intensity of the main game into a hauntingly beautiful, two-hour gut-punch. To anyone who even remotely enjoyed The Last of Us and is on the fence about getting this DLC, go for it if you can spare the money.
I didnt like the ending, the whole reason I got the DLC is because I want to know how Ellie and Riley dealt with the bits, I wanted to see if Ellie killed her friend etc. but no they ended when they both got bitten. Good scene but bad ending I wish it ended after her friend turned.
Leaving it to your imagination is what made it so heavy...you know how it goes and you can fill in your own final words then how Rileys death went..it wouldve most likely spoiled some depth just outright showing you
This is the first Sotry DLC i think Naughty Dogs has ever made? And it's worth every single buck you have to pay for it! Just like the main campaign, it is perfection! The story and the gameplay is yet again an Amazing journey. Short sure... I Spent about 3 hours and a couple of minutes on this DLC.And i got as much out of it as i could. I didn't rush as i bet many of the people who said it only took them 1 hour and 45 min probably did. The ''twist'' whit Ellie... I'm not spoiling anything here. But that was a brave one by Naughty Dogs. That i doubt many studios would have done. You all know what i'm talking about so no need to spoil it for those who haven't plaid it. But that scene was so strong! So yea... Personally i think LEFT BEHIND just like the main game deserves a 10. And i am not one to give out 10's often. The Last of Us is the Second game to ever recive one. The Last one came out befor the 2000's so yea... You do the math yourself. HAHA! The Last of Us is not only The Best on the Last gen... It's one of the best games ever made! It's art!
No combat? That's silly. It'd be a game involving two girls walking around a mall. I would hate it. Instead, Left Behind was AWESOME because of the terrifying combat sequences.
I thought this DLC is one of the best single player DLC ever! It's not just a prequel, it's a missing piece of Ellie's story, and this piece made The Last Of Us complete. And I don't think the combat is pointless, I find it's rather clever to input the gameplay where the original TLOS storyline left blank, it fits perfectly. At that moment, Ellie feels all alone again as she is so worried that she might be losing Joel too, and all the sequences remind her of Riley. Naughty Dog, you guys are video game version of Pixar. The entire game done better than most movies we've got nowadays.
idk man. upon my first play through of the last of us i ended up enjoying the characters dialogue more than the combat. because you get used to the combat. and after your first encounters with the living and non-living alike you get used to the mechanics and you pick up on the strategy and it becomes easy. the dialogue was always refreshing, funny, and touching.
Something that Colin forgot to mention was that the combat sections take place years in the future from the Riley+Ellie moments, when Ellie has already met Joel but is alone and has to fend for herself.
nope, just a couple of months, remember at first (summer) Ellie says "this was 3 WEEKS" when shows her bitten arm, and the winter section is from the same year. Something worth mentioning is that the kids at the QZ had to go to military schools and were TRAINED there, so they could be recruited when they turned 16.
Aniwat Sankosik I love MGS and i'll get it anyway but i agree with the original poster this TLoU dlc is reasonable and a much better deal than MGSV:GZ.
I think this DLC is proof that Naughty Dog can make a good sequel to The Last Of Us, and that it can bring back Joel and Ellie (or at least Ellie) without ruining the original story
Top10Stone maybe they could make the next one a few years in the future with an 18 year old Ellie, and an older Joel, and throughout the game, they could show flash backs to what happened in those 20 years after Joel's daughter died, much like what the DLC does with Ellie.
+TYLER ourada Perfect. I think that would be enough justification for a sequel. That plot would be crazy to play. Like when Joel was a hunter/smuggler ambushing innocent people like in pittsburgh. I do have to say though, Naughty dog would have to come up with some heart jerking moments if they plan on coming back to this universe.
Oh, hey Colin. TLOU2 came out today. just came here to refresh on some things. Loving the Sacred Symbols podcast buddy. can't wait to hear you talk about the new iteration
Well, I don't have any Play Station consoles. And I do have an Xbox, and i do prefer the xbox. Though, thats not stopping me from thinking that The Last of Us is one of the best games out there. I would definitely get myself a ps3 or ps4 just to play this game. And anyone who says this is a bad game really has bad taste, or they are just plain idiots. I don't see why its getting so much hate :I
Just to clarify the recurring question of Ellie never having seen clickers in the main story. The dlc is evenly split between between her time when she had to find medicine to save Joel (present) & having fun in the mall with Riley (past). All of the combat takes place during the hunt for Joel's medicine, thus she had already seen clickers by that point in time. She had only seen the runner stage in the past. Btw, dlc was fantastic & worth every penny of the $15 for the sheer quality.
this DLC was absolutely excellent. Fallout: New Vegas and Dishonored had my vote for best DLC up until now. Left Behind just tops them all. It's that good. The same kind of tense emotional drama from the original game is there, the same wonder of exploration exists, the lighthearted games that Ellie & Riley play are awesome, the pun jokes are laugh-out-loud hilarious, the ending is just as emotionally jarring as the main story ending, the voice acting is superb as always, the timeskipping narrative is brilliantly executed, and the background score is EVEN BETTER than the main game! off to replay it again! Five stars, naughty dog. you guys truly are geniuses.
Just finished it. I was surprised how short it was. Didn't expect it to end that fast... Shame because it felt so good to play again. @OckhamAsylum: Dull and overrated? I think the game is suberb. Really liked the setting, characters and just how it played. The limited supplies and the excitement when you have a room full of clickers. That experience is mainly the first playthrough. But you saying its dull and overrated is just trolling.
this DLC made me feel like I've never felt before, it was so unexpected and different man, Naughty Dog proved again to themselves how they're the best developer or even if you don't agree you have to admit they're on the top 2! but ND, don't get too cocky, you still have to make the sequel to one of the greatest achievements in gaming, focus!
I actually prefer playing as Ellie. Because she can't use shivs, takedowns is pretty straight forward, and (from my understanding) dosn't attract Clickers. If Joels takedown is done wrong, and he ends up smashing their face in, instead of strangling them, the infected will be all over you. So that's what I like about playing as Ellie. Her takedowns can only go one way. I think the new mechanic with turning enemies on eacother is a brilliant idea, and I really enjoyed finishing this DLC. I hope ND will make a second game for next gen. :)
Naughty Dog does it YET again. How have they kept up their high quality work for so long?! They truly are one of, if not the best developers, right now and ever. You may not like their games but at the least everyone can acknowledge that Naughty Dog truly does put great attention and detail into every aspect of their games. Something I really appreciate from game developers.
Is it necessary to have the original game (The last of us) inside the PS3 in order to play Left Behind? I bought the DLC but after the download It just doesnt installs on my ps3, PLEASE HELP
* They didn't grow together at BQZ, Ellie met Riley a couple of months ago before the events of left behind. She was the new kid at the military school, and got close with her. (most of the other kids would bully or fight with her)* just had to clear that out.
I was so immersed that when Ellie was siphoning out the gas from the truck, when she got some in her mouth and spat it out, I just randomly spat too. XD
couple cons for you people who are thinking about buying it. 1. $15 bucks for 1-3 hours of added story and gameplay. 2. Aside from story, not a lot of new stuff here. 3. Did i mention its short? 4. Did i mention its $15? Im a huge last of us fan, and i would still buy this DLC even after playing it and seeing how short it is. But Sony and Naughty Dog (if they had a say in how much this DLC would cost) should have given us a break and charged $10 bucks.
Gotta say though, I don't see why IGN felt they didn't need the combat, as great as the relationship between Ellie and Riley was portrayed and the conversations they had were entertaining and really built up their characters, I feel like if all we did was walk around and look at the mall it would have been a waste of money, also what's with all the homophobic shit? Sure Ellie and Riley kissed, big deal, they're girls, girls have a different way of expressing themselves emotionally than dudes do, I mean they do everything together. And even if they went that route completely (which I don't think they were lesbians) and made it obvious if she were gay, who cares? Is that still an issue? does it ruin the legacy of Last of Us? Don't be narrow minded people, it's 2014, times are changing.
***** I hasn't always been a bad thing either. In all honesty whats so wrong with gay people? Sure I don't agree with it, don't understand it but they aren't hurting or bothering me or anyone else so I don't see a problem with them. Whether someone is gay or not really doesn't matter to me.
***** how is that "anything goes"? Is it really so wrong for gay people to appear in any form of media? They're the same as us straight people. what they do at home with whoever they do with it is none of my concern
I don't see what is so wrong that they should be hidden though? I don't really agree with them or understand them but I don't see how they are a problem. How is it morally wrong? That's who they are, it's their life. What negative effect does this have on our society? I look at ones sexuality like ones race, and neither really bother me because the way they act and treat other people is what matters. I don't care if you go home to a woman or a man at night, asl ong as you are a good or decent person is all that matters
***** What makes it wrong though?, that's my point and that's what I'm asking. They are happy and they love each other and in the end of the day how is that any different than a man and woman loving each other.Sure it's odd to some to see men with men and women with women because it's not what we've been taught. I personally don't have a problem with them at all, I welcome them into our society as well as anyone else who are productive, treat people well and live their life honestly and do what makes them happy. There is a lot more things in this world to worry about than gay people. And at the end of the day they are still people. It's not like them being in movies or games is "creating" more gay people as if it's some kind of trend, if anything the gay people watching this movie or playing this game may just get the courage to stop hiding it and be themselves. Your entitled to your opinion and I respect that, but I'm just wondering why you find it so "morally wrong", stealing is morally wrong, so is killing, being a pedophile or rapist or any kind of sex offender, and in general victimizing people in any way possible. Now, compare that to seeing two men or women holding hands out on the streets, not hurting no one, is that so morally wrong?
okay okay fine When IGN gave The Last of Us game of the year i was pissed (mainly becuase i only have an xbox 360 and i wanted gta to win) but now that i saw the playthrough of the dlc I am glad Last of Us won
It's about fucking time they allowed Infected and Survivors to fight each other! I commented during my LP of the game how much I disliked that the Infected and Survivors are conveniently always separated, sometimes literally by just a few moments
Beat this years ago, but when I checked it was no longer in my system (except for the saves) and PSN has it listed at $9.99. I thought once you bought a game you could always re-download it?
yes you can play your bought game even if you delete it. Just go to library on ps4 menu and you can see bought games from ps store and ps plus game as well .
Beastgamer07 To be honest I would have loved if you weren't able to use guns, well not all the time because I thought it was a bit far fetched how she could kill everyone. it would have made it a harder experience and you would feel a lot more vulnerable but I loved it other than that
I finished The last of us, and then sold it, I downloaded "left behind" but it doesnt seems to install on my PS3 after the download, is it necessary to have the original game inside the PS3 to play left behind? please help
Lol @ the people complaining about the price. If you loved the game so much why not dive back into the world again and experience something new? This DLC was amazing. Def worth every penny. The quality of the DLC is just as good as if it were part of the main campaign. I had a blast with this DLC!
the problem with some is that they think if they pay $15 for it then they should get 15 - 20 hours of gameplay. to me that's not a dlc they want an expansion at such low price. i have not seen a dlc for $15 that has such long hours of gameplay. open world games don't count.
I didn't expect that we are going to play during Winter at all. I loved it! Everything they put into this is nicely done, and it's well worth the price. I might be biased though, because I can't describe how much I love the main game. But, when I heard what's going to be the story about I was expecting one particular scene, sadly that hadn't been shown. Namely Riley's death. Seriously, everyone already knew that these two girls are going to get bitten, no knew information there, but what we didn't not know is how Riley turned and Ellie didn't. How she had to "deal" with her friend after that. Was she forced killed her? Or she just run away? What did she do after she realized she is immune? Did she try to end her life and gave up? Maybe Marlene found her just in time and talked her into that "saving the world" nonsense? Or what exactly happened? Sadly we never know. And that's what I would have liked to see. Still, as it stands the DLC is great. I enjoyed it. But at the end I feel a little bit disappointed that those crucial moments weren't shown. I mean what's point showing the last moment's of Riley's life with Ellie if you didn't even show the most important part of it?
Colin didn't read the comic. Ellie and Riley meet for the first time in the comic and after being rivals become friends. Great review anyway. Definitely downloading this! Might even replay the campaign right after it; to experience it all in one go.
I LOVED this DLC almost as much as the main game. People can say it's overrated or over hyped all they want, that's their opinion just as this is mine, and I'm cool with that. I found it overall to be not perfect but truly great. It's one of those rare experiences where I invested myself more in story than gameplay, which was excitedly tense despite being unrealistic at times. As cool as the diverse play styles and strategy were, I still found the plot to be the star attraction unlike many games where mechanics are spotlighted. It was like watching an interactive movie (similar to the Walking Dead games), regularly contemplating the characters' relationships and state of mind, itching to know what happened next! It takes a lot to water my eyes, but when Sarah died, Ellie almost got the worst treatment from David, and Joel chose saving her over curing mankind among other moments, I laughed at myself for caring so much about what I knew were characters in a game. That's TLOU's strength, making you care, something zombie stories in particular rarely manage to do anymore after being overdone so much. Regardless of what we debate over its merits, it's a clear fact that The Last of Us is a defining achievement in both gaming history and the zombie genre. From what happened after the college escape to Riley and Ellie's kiss, everything in this extra chapter matters in context of the characters and campaign without feeling like it's just trying to add content for its own sake. I really hope they make a 2 at some point, there's so much more they could expand on in both gameplay and the future of the story.
Best DLC i have ever played. Totally worth £12. I actually teared up at the end. Best ending. If you are a fan of the Last Of Us you need to play this. It takes you through a emotional journey once again. Bravo Naughty Dog!
THIS is how you do DLC everyone. Only put out what is absolutely necessary (in this case it is one) and ADD to the experience, don't just give us another section to play the same exact game in.
Am I the only one that didn't really like this dlc I feel like there were wayyyyyyy better option I would have preferred to see a dlc about what happened with Joel and tommy after his daughter died, or how Joel and Tess met or the backstory of Bill and his friend or even a story about Marlene and the fireflies.I don't think left behind was bad I just think it was kinda boring ,just going around a mall throwing rocks at cars and having watergun fights is not what I was expecting.
I would have liked it to be longer in a sense where the was more to hear and find. Combat would have been nice to keep in those two parts where it was needed, but I'd rather have more things to look at and explore to really soak in the story and world setting. The ending felt rushed, and it is sad that it was cause it was great but it needed to be longer. Also... Nah, its too early to bring that up now, it just it was very well done if anyone took the time to listen and explore.
I beat it and already look forward to more DLC lol since I think it may be a while for part The Last of us Part 2. I really enjoyed Left Behind, but i thought it ended too fast. Hopefully in the next one it can be multiplayer in the story mode.
I can't wait to get my copy of this game. The Last of Us is by far one of the greatest experiences I've had on PS3. Such a great story, visually appealing, and just plain fun. Looking forward to play TLoU Left Behind :)
Squall Leonhart I actually think TLoU's solution is better than TressFX since TressFX makes hair jumpy and wiry. TLoU uses animations but ND are masters at animation and they probably made a ton of them just for the hair. TressFX will get better, though.
zeuanimals I agree that it makes Lara's hair "jumpy and wiry". What ND did was clever on a console but I still find TressFX better. Ellie's hair reminds me of Lara's without TressFX on PC, I'll take another look. Did a quick check, TressFX>ND>No TressFX, from what I can see.
The DLC wasn't flawless, however, $15 is an appropriate price tag for a 2-3 hour DLC. It's a much better value than most DLC at the same price. The full game cost $60 at release for a 12-15 hour story on first playthrough. Left Behind is about 1/5 the length of the campaign for 1/4 the price.
Freaking best dlc ever! I absolutely loved all of the Ellie and Riley banter, I couldn't stop myself from smiling when they were going through the pun book and using the photo booths. I think that the fact that most of it wasn't all doom and gloom made it a great way to tie off the last of us and am thoroughly satisfied. :)
What doesn't make sense about there score of this game is that there's loads of pro's that they give but absolutely no cons yet they give it a 9 instead of a 10 surely if there are no cons they should of give it a 10
I don't traditionally pay much attention to DLC. Do they usually experience slight price drops after a while, or do they tend to hover at fixed prices?
(SPOILERS) i really don't see why you all care so much about ellie's sexuality, the important thing about the kiss was how innocent it was, as well making her and riley's connection (and loss) even stronger.

My con with the dlc is that it is too short :)
I felt cheated spending 9.99 for it...like very
charles brisebois the story was great of course, but it should’ve either been longer or costed less
riyuma1990ri yeah but I mean it’s already dragged out. They had to base the game off of the comic book, which was kinda short.
Same the blood and wine has 30+ hours of content for 20 dollars while left behind has 3 hours of content for 20 dollars

Also, the fighting is definitely necessary. Why would you have a DLC for The Last of Us with no fighting? Zombies/infected play a MAJOR role in the game. It only makes sense to fight them too.

For real, how tf you gonna have an action/zombie game with no fighting?
wtf is this guy talking about "I can't help but wonder if left behind really needed combat at all".
A lot of other games like detroit, life is strange and the telltale games barely have any combat
Embarrassing idea to remove combat
The voice actor for the black girl was amazing this DLC was very sad and depressing but it's also an eye opener and makes you appreciate life more
I disagree. Seems like all the kids have voices that are too old for their age. They're 14, not 24.

Can't believe that people actually say that Ellie was ruined for them because she is POSSIBLY gay. Ridiculous. People need to accept the fact that we are living in a world where it seems that gays are finally being accepted for who they are, and that's how it SHOULD be.
jeff drouin Damn, you seem to have the exact same opinion on this stuff as me.
***** It was confirmed by the creative director. Ellie and Riley have a personal history.
I personally think they're way too young to be gay that's a decision you have to make when your about 18 years old.
Best bit has got to be the mix of human and infected combat scenarios.
mikedaspike Amon 😍
9/10 too much fighting
I know right!?
why would a apocalypse based video game dare have FIGHTING in its DLC.
the nerve of some companies.
Novasaur lol
I especially loved the ending because what riley says to ellie was great and it adds weight to the decision on what joel did to save ellie.
Since so many people here are having an issue with the pricetag, I just want to say that I really felt it was worth the €15/$15 pricetag.
Best DLC I've ever played, and I felt the combat was nessecarry.... SPOILER *SPOILER SPOILER*... You've been warned
******
The combat really demonstrates the lengths that Ellie goes to too protect Joell and as Riley says, ''We gotta fight for every minute we can spend together'', and Ellie was doing just that, THIS is in no way forced, it makes 100% sense.
I think everybody who REALLY enjoyed The Last of Us has already bought the Season Pass
My only negative was it was too short to be 15$ Other then that it was amazing.
how boring would it be with no combat -.-
idk man. upon my first play through of the last of us i ended up enjoying the characters dialogue more than the combat. because you get used to the combat. and after your first encounters with the living and non-living alike you get used to the mechanics and you pick up on the strategy and it becomes easy. the dialogue was always refreshing, funny, and touching.
This ign dude wants it to be a bloody movie lol
Something that Colin forgot to mention was that the combat sections take place years in the future from the Riley+Ellie moments, when Ellie has already met Joel but is alone and has to fend for herself.
nope, just a couple of months, remember at first (summer) Ellie says "this was 3 WEEKS" when shows her bitten arm, and the winter section is from the same year.
Something worth mentioning is that the kids at the QZ had to go to military schools and were TRAINED there, so they could be recruited when they turned 16.
Didn't take very long for the Xbox fans to destroy the comment section by doing the very same shit they complain about PS fanboys doing.
I'm sure you are a neutral party and your opinion is completely objective SONY Roxs.
Andrew James I quite enjoy your approach to these comments my good sir.
Ryan Dragonbane Haha thanks mate
Andrew James I actually am. Played more 360 than PS3 last gen. Own a Xbox One this gen. Nice assumption tho.
Seeing this in 2023, the sentence: “pre pandemic world” has a complete different meaning…
TLOU: Left Behind = 2-3 hours to fin = $15
MGS5: Ground Zeroes = 2 hours to fin = $30-40!!
Therefore
NaughtyDog >>> Konami
Ground Zeroes= 5 hours(including side ops) =$20-40
just saying
Aniwat Sankosik No MGSV:GZ is less than 2hrs but it also has side ops (who knows how long or short that is).
CRAZYGUNDAMOTAKU According to some journalist main game + side ops will take about 2-5 hour
Aniwat Sankosik I love MGS and i'll get it anyway but i agree with the original poster this TLoU dlc is reasonable and a much better deal than MGSV:GZ.
CRAZYGUNDAMOTAKU i kinda agree with i am not paying 40$ for next gen version of MGSGZ
I think this DLC is proof that Naughty Dog can make a good sequel to The Last Of Us, and that it can bring back Joel and Ellie (or at least Ellie) without ruining the original story
Joel said he's been on both sides, maybe the second one can be about a younger Joel ;) I'd miss Ellie to much though
I don't see why its getting so much hate :I
I really wish we would get a dlc with Joel as well. Breaks my heart.
Still no dlc😢😢
Does anyone know the song played at 3:00. If you do, please reply. Thank you so much.
This DLC was a serious heart breaker and leaves you emotionally torn. Great job Naughty Dog keep up the excellent work.
It's a prologue people, MGS : ground zeroes itself is 2 hours long and they and they want you to pay 40bucks. Prologue doesn't need to be long.
Xbox fanboys are mad lmao. Oh lord.
Anyways, can't wait to play this.
6 years later and they’re still mad 😠 😂
this DLC was absolutely excellent.
This dlc really makes you feel like you were left behind
Just finished it. I was surprised how short it was. Didn't expect it to end that fast... Shame because it felt so good to play again.
@OckhamAsylum:
Dull and overrated?
Last of Us one of the greatest games of all time, Left Behind was amazing 👏👏👏👏
XD
dude how do u guys play this game so DARK!? half the review is a near black screen
I see haters everywhere... this dlc deserves a good rating. Its, I would argue, the best exclusive out right now
couple cons for you people who are thinking about buying it.
***** Jesus Christ, dude, you have some serious issues. Please take your narrow-minded ideas, your so called 'morals' with you and leave.
Did this guy say he didn't need any action what the hell?
Best DLC I have ever played
This DLC was amazing, by far the best I've played.
If you think the game didn't have any cons, wouldn't you have given it a perfect score? Come on, IGN, get it together.
He mentioned that the combat felt a little forced at times.
okay okay fine When IGN gave The Last of Us game of the year i was pissed (mainly becuase i only have an xbox 360 and i wanted gta to win) but now that i saw the playthrough of the dlc I am glad Last of Us won
you only have seen the DLC ? you gotta try and watch a playthrough of the whole game, its epic !
Should have gotten a 10, not a 9, especially since there were no cons what so ever in this, and I believe combat was necessary!
i think they didn't wanna look like suckups to naughty dog .... lol
Beastgamer07 To be honest I would have loved if you weren't able to use guns, well not all the time because I thought it was a bit far fetched how she could kill everyone. it would have made it a harder experience and you would feel a lot more vulnerable but I loved it other than that
Starting this DLC right now, just platinumed TLOU. Can't wait!
I haven't yet played TLOU (but already purchased)
Should i play this back-story first
Before the main story?
I am getting The Last Of Us for Christmas, but should I download and play this first?
Avinash Sharma But I don't have a PS4.
no this gives spoilers away in the main game
Dark_Ranger Ok.
loomman529 get a ps4 and then play this
I finished The last of us, and then sold it, I downloaded "left behind" but it doesnt seems to install on my PS3 after the download, is it necessary to have the original game inside the PS3 to play left behind?
9/10 but no cons
con: its a dlc basically
Colin didn't read the comic. Ellie and Riley meet for the first time in the comic and after being rivals become friends. Great review anyway. Definitely downloading this! Might even replay the campaign right after it; to experience it all in one go.
I love how people are comparing an Xbox One and PC game to a 2 hour piece of DLC for the PS3. Makes total sense...
I just want more Ellie, She's my favorite character ever, if she's not in the next game I will be so upset
Have you played the new game? :/
@@andreleiva5165 replying to a 6 year old comment
@@andreleiva5165 Yeah she was great in it
I miss the 2011-2015 era of video games and movies. Stuff like this.
The zombie era?
Best DLC i have ever played. Totally worth £12. I actually teared up at the end. Best ending. If you are a fan of the Last Of Us you need to play this. It takes you through a emotional journey once again. Bravo Naughty Dog!
Loved what this add on brought to the story!! The combat was intriguing and it was just awesome!!!
I'm debating weather or not to buy the season pass for TLOU? I just want to know if it includes the left behind dlc in the season pass. :/
Chris Reid I would've loved a DLC about Ish.
Can't wait to play this! TLOU is an amazing game and a must play for anyone with a PS3.
I thought Ellie's first human kill is in the main game?
No, there was never any big deal about her killing anybody, that's why she always has a knife. I mean she really stabs everybody
It is, shooting in this takes place after, this is a mixture of a prequel and the middle of the game.
Middle meaning the part when Joel was injured?
Yes, the only parts where you actually fight are situated when Joel was injured.
I beat it and already look forward to more DLC lol since I think it may be a while for part The Last of us Part 2. I really enjoyed Left Behind, but i thought it ended too fast. Hopefully in the next one it can be multiplayer in the story mode.
Gonna pick this up today, been waiting like crazy for this.
I can't wait to get my copy of this game. The Last of Us is by far one of the greatest experiences I've had on PS3. Such a great story, visually appealing, and just plain fun. Looking forward to play TLoU Left Behind :)
Square Enix was lying when they said they can't get amazing hair on Lora croft in Tomb Raider for ps3 and x360 1:27, naughty do can do it.
I have the PC version, this doesn't look anywhere near as good and I also have TLoU. Her hair looks like Lara's without TressFX on.
I really enjoy Left Behind, but it just doesn't feel whole without Joel
Brannon H there is a not no homo moment
The end of it felt "incomplete" if you know what I mean. Don't get me wrong, I loved it, it just felt too short
I bet that if the DLC didnt had combat, IGN would have bitched about that
"I can't help but wonder if Left Behind needed combat at all."
That's it. I'm done.
How long is this dlc or how many episodes ?
And if worth the 15 bucks
Freaking best dlc ever! I absolutely loved all of the Ellie and Riley banter, I couldn't stop myself from smiling when they were going through the pun book and using the photo booths. I think that the fact that most of it wasn't all doom and gloom made it a great way to tie off the last of us and am thoroughly satisfied. :)
This dlc will be the only reason for me to even consider turning on my ps3 again tomorrow.
Too short for $15. I was through it quickly. The warm up level I did (bills town) took longer to beat.
What doesn't make sense about there score of this game is that there's loads of pro's that they give but absolutely no cons yet they give it a 9 instead of a 10 surely if there are no cons they should of give it a 10
fucked up how i still havent played this game yet.
Combat would be more interesting in the main campaign if it had the option to make enemies fight against each other.
TLOU 2
Another 9 with no cons. Shouldn't that be a 10
In the written review the con was length.
Then she should have put that in the vid. Too short too long?
It says it's too short. I'm agreeing with you, though.
They did that twice. It's annoying
I don't traditionally pay much attention to DLC. Do they usually experience slight price drops after a while, or do they tend to hover at fixed prices?
Fixed Prices.
Darn. Thanks, though. I guess I'll just pick this up next time I hit a gaming draught
Pause at 4:13. Is it just me or is something wrong with that bow?
