Just installed a skar srd 10 in my s10 with the skar audio 1200 watt amp. Definitely not going to win any comps with it but that's not what I wanted I wanted to add a little bass to my truck but this set up surpassed my expectations. I hot the package deal from skar audio the 10 inch sub preloaded in a box with wiring kit 4 gauge power cord and ground cord with 1200watt amp it was 329$ smoking deal in my opinion. Skar audio has a life time customer now.
I had the 12 inch version. 1 ohm i miss it i went back two 2 p3’12s on a prime 1200 1 ohm stable it hits good doesnt like anything below 34 hertz it slaps hard on 38-42 hert tracks. Skars love lows 31-40 hertz
@@davidnievesjr.9478i upgraded to a 12 its hits harder then the 10 i had but everything in the car flex my front doirs rattle along with my trunk and roif rattling i just learn to live with it it sounds good on the inside
@@dontedq Right now I have a pair of cheap 10's but they hit. That's for now. I'll upgrade to something stronger and I know I'll be happy with the car flexing and rattling.
@@davidnievesjr.9478 i was going to go for a 15 but this 12 is plenty for me 1200 watts is good enough for me i also removed both my factory subs an speakers in the back so now the sub will breath better and hit harder basically it just makes it to where the sub is ported in the car i played wobble like in this video on low my trunk flex on high my doors and roof flex

I have a Skar DDX10 with a Skar LP1500.1 with a custom box and its absolutely amazing! Louder and more clean sounding than my 2 Alpine R10s! And you definitely need a better amp! At least a 1200.1. You are BARELY pushing that thing lol

The EVL 10 is being run by a skar RP 1500.1 this setup in the video in now in my wife's 2018 ford edge and yes its only powered by 650 watts rms but my wife likes the setup and doesn't want more. Jacob McCurdy no problem! Its not all about the size of the sub! My buddy has 3 Skar 6.5in and that thing bumps! This Skar is the best sub ive ever had. They are 100% sundown clones, just cheaper because they don’t have the brand name price tag. People think i have 2 12inchers and then i pop the hatch and the look on their faces are priceless. Cant wait to het another one
I’m brewer to the speaker game , so if i got a 10 inch 1500 peak and tan a larger amp then 1500 amps would i the speaker be safe if i turned down the amp

tinktwiceman you have a aftermarket radio for rca outs or factory radio with line out..the bass eq ups the voltage and can create clipping so be careful with it..
U can get way more power out of that monster skar subwoofer that amp is week ...throwing around 300rms at 4oh its better to have a powerfull amp than a sub trust me it will last u for ever i have never mest up a sub but yup need way more power for that 1000rms sub🤙

Christopher Lynch not sure what a hatchback style box is but I consider the box I have to be small compared to other systems I’ve had.. you could run this speaker in a smaller box then what I currently run but running it in a smaller box you are not going to get everything out of the speaker
The DDX in the video is a 4ohm wired to 2ohm the RF Amp is not 1ohm stable the EVL 10 I purchased with the skar amp in my other video is 2ohm wired down to 1 ohm
Jeremy S to me the P3 had tighter bass it was much more responsive and would be good for someone that listens to pop or rock music. The skar is louder and still hits clean but not as responsive as the P3 I listen to a lot of hip hop rap and r&b so it better suited for my music taste

Yes you can use what ever brand amp you want.
Do you still have the inputs on the lc2i bridge? And if so why did you bridge them?
Luis if you look at my install video for the LC2i the instructions on the LC2i actually show to hook it up this way which is why I did it this way.

Fernando Gonzalez 16 to 12 gauge should be sufficient. I personally use 12 gauge.

DuhShazey it was running in about 600 watts rms in a box the is just below smallest recommended box specs. So yes this speaker can give a lot more
