    Nice ! Thanks for showing us and sharing your day im just getting into spoon carving well i say just ! ,ive made my spoon carving block which i will upload on my diverse channel ,i went to the beach last night and saw a nice piece of wood nicely shaped ,will have a go with that shortly , ive been doing 1x1 wood figure carving which i enjoy but i think the spoons open up another avenue .     is it a good idea to include the sap wood in the spoons?

      Yes, no problem at all. Especially with cherry which I use mostly. Always remove the pith though.

    what kind of trees do you look for? as in: dead-fall, or do you often cut your own down? Very interested in getting some blanks carved out myself.

      I use storm fallen trees most of the time. I hike a lot so I cover a lot of ground and a big tree will keep you busy for a while 🙂 Fallen trees stay green for a long time on the forest floor. They usually rot before they dry.
