I have thought about using Argon. Like many others I have switched all my shocks to high pressure shrader valves on Al my shocks to eliminate the leaking rubber pill/ needle fill procedure. That will also save some money. Good video.
Totally didn't think I could use my Argon and that I'd have to pick up some Nitrogen....gonna save me a trip to Airgas and some $$$ since I already have the Argon. Thanks.
I think you don't need to get a whole new regulator. You could probably use the argon regulator but replace the cfh flow gauge with a psi gauge. That would save some more money. Or even cheaper would be not even change the gauge at all if you already have a high psi digital bike suspension gauge with bleed button.

So I would not use argon co2 mix. Co2 is not an inert gas and it's possible that over time could cause oxidation or deterioration to rubber or metals. I'm no expert but that's my 2 cents on it. Pure argon is inert.

So just a followup as I rebuilt my shocks last year and used argon again and they are absolutely perfect. Argon is inert..A1 !

Is the needle the same as what's used for inflating balls or is it different?
It's different. Smaller and sharper.
