I hope the creator of this doesn’t take any of the negative comments to heart. This is an amazing job! As a professional video editor, I know how much work went into this. Maybe the creator should explain in the description that this was created by using audio from a Trek video game and painstakingly finding and editing together clips from the old animated series. Extremely well done my friend!
Well, they ought not to. It's easy to be a critic and hard to be a creator. Although some things OUGHT to be criticized. What is being produced out of Hollywood I think is objectively awful. I don't understand how somebody can sit down for a 1/2 hour or hour of television, and feel better once they're done. It's all so bleak and relentlessly negative in everything. Even watching a sitcom, I realize that the characters wouldn't be friends, they'd hate one another. Constant sarcasm and attacks on their ego and thinking and personality. The new versions of star trek is just constant war and violence, a dystopia. The Next Generation was even like this in the later seasons, and especially the films.
Extremely clever and well done! Sampling technology exists to recreate accurate, realistic verbal performances. If Paramount was smart, they'd allow this tech to be used on the raw audio tracks from TOS and TAS. They could be used to create completely NEW episodes of TAS.
The trouble would be that they don't have a license to repurpose those actors into a new story without paying them and the actors' permission to do so.
Excellent work. I hope you can do all of the games. I have this dream that 25th anniversary edition and Judgement Rites can be made into animated episodes. If only Secret of Vulcan Fury can be found. It would be like having a new season of Star Trek:TAS.
Man I’ve always said they could use the voices for the games and make an animated 5 episode arc story. This is an excellent proof of concept and the quality of the sound For the voices is pretty excellent considering
Having not read the description before starting the video, i was not ready at 1:29 when I realized that this was a TAS adaptation of Demon World. It's a shame TAS didn't have animations that would have fit this story better, but excellent work regardless!
Great. Also the original later voices of the TOS actors, i can hear they sounds of course older now. Its a Star Trek document, its unique, because 3 of the actors are already died. RIP. Congratulation for good Job. Thanks alot for uploading. Best regards from Austria 🇦🇹 🖖
Same here, I remember sleeping over at my best friend’s house the weekend it premiered along with all the other new Saturday morning cartoons. I’ve always seen it as a continuation of TOS and wish it could be revived with the original cast (sampled voices) or with the cast of TNG
With animation, the skies the limit. This could be Phase II or set later than the animated series. I personally would love to see this set in the motion picture era. The ships could be recreated with CGI. The Roddenberry Archive recreated Spock in all his TMP glory with some amazing CGI. Imagine what they could do with this audio from the games. Some of the puzzles from the game could also be worked in to the story as well. I loved what you did here. I hope you get the chance to make some more. 🖖😐😃
For those interested in the Motion Picture era: I learned recently that the daily star trek comicstrip for the same time frame (1979) had Decker, Ilia and Sonek join the original cast in the daily adventures. Thats decent source material too😁
The animation seems like something added on from Hanna Barbara with the miner. Well done, albeit fast. But understandable with 11 minutes to tell a story. I also liked the TOS soundtrack mixed in with TAS.
I love this! I thoroughly enjoyed these games despite the flat dialogue as well as the animated series. I look forward to seeing your version pf Hijacked and Feathered Serpent :)
Since I'm assuming you all were still going through trying to iron out the bugs one day I was going to point out a sizable error early in the episode. It was supposed to be a drill against the USS Republic which is also a constitution-class Starship, however it appeared to be a Romulan bird-of-prey that was hit during the exercise
I always enjoyed these animated Treks. I have (I think) 45 of my own and I plan to do more. Mine are machinima, done on Second Life. Mine are generally about science concepts and exploration.
Seems like a version of one of their own episodes of the original series. I think it was called "Wonderland". It's a vacation planet in which whatever you think becomes reality. Bones thinks of Alice in Wonderland, then the rabbit with a watch had showed up. Jim thought of his bully back then, and the bully appeared and started fighting Jim. It should be a safe planet but Bones was killed.... Some time later, Bones is alive.
I wish that someone would use the hours of audio recording of the TOS cast from Interplay’s old canceled PC game Secret of Vulcan Fury and make it using todays graphic capabilities. One a side note the same can be said for Sierra’s cancelled game (that was near completion) of Babylon 5 Into the Fire. It was a Star Fury fighting sim, again with hours of footage on the original sets before they were destroyed, some on green screen. Several of the original cast were used. Imagine what that simulator would look and perform like now.
There are some very good Star Trek audio books out there. I have one called "Transformations: A Captain Sulu Adventure." It's on Cassette Tape and It's Really good. It was written by David Stern and features George Takai, Diana Ivey and Daniel Gerroll. It was Published by Simon and Schuster Audio in 1992.There are several others from S & S, but this is the only one I have.
Brilliant! I have so many questions.. Where is the audio from, how many more episodes like this are there? Are you planning on making more of these? Thank you!
There’s another video on UA-cam that explains the conflicts Paramount had with Gene Roddenberry over the aborted Phase 2 series. I think the animated series was something of a compromise they all agreed to
Excellent job! I can't believe I hadn't seen this before. I loved the 25th Anniversary game and I also love the animated series. This was a great idea. I might take a crack at one myself.
First thought was: "Shit this is the title of the first mission of the 25th anniversary game" Then 10 seconds in, I smiled, it's a good spin on the game itself
I don't understand what I just watched. Looks like you cut together scenes from different episodes and music and sound effects from the Original Series. Not sure where some of the "new" original cast dialogue came from, if it's new. Anyway, you should have used only TAS music and sound effects - the TOS stuff doesn't mesh.
Boy, that was disappointing. I thought the episode would be about Captain Kirk and the Enterprise crew actually landing on a planet populated by demons. I guess they didn't have the budget for the cheap, animated series to feature such creatures.
This was sloppiness for using too many animations cells for Orginal cartoons. Although the voice overs were very good. The leader of mining colony looks a reject from Scooby-Doo cartoons. At least could come up with new alien characters.
Hmmm, nice work but it is derivative of what has already been done. Using old clips in a new way is the same thing as low level AI, just mimicking and not creating. If you added elements, perhaps it would be a new thing but as of now, it is not.
Whoooaa, is my youtube version of Demon World different than yours? They are in the snow, birdy sounds and an young officer. All of a sudden they are speaking to "frozen aliens' taken from an old animated episode. The young Star Fleet guy is gone? My farts smell better than this.
Well I thought it was ok. The assembly was well done, but the voice acting was lack luster; though that is not your doing: it's the voice director and the actors themselves making audio clips for a computer program rather than putting any effort into the voice acting. I imagine now, that with AI and voice pattern recognition and replication, we could have several new animated episodes with AI generated dialogue.
Awesome start! And finally Chekov in ST:TAS!

I find u not caring fing stupid
When I first heard
This was the PC Game ST:TOS 25th Anniversary!! Somebody made it to an animated series episode!! Awesome job!! 😊
star trek The 25th anniversary pc game comes to mind
Extremely clever and well done! Sampling technology exists to recreate accurate, realistic verbal performances. If Paramount was smart, they'd allow this tech to be used on the raw audio tracks from TOS and TAS. They could be used to create completely NEW episodes of TAS.
I don't think the animation would extend to a musical episode.
The trouble would be that they don't have a license to repurpose those actors into a new story without paying them and the actors' permission to do so.

The Miner @3:50 is "borrowed" from Scooby Doo! 😂
I knew he looked familiar 😅
Bones with the killer line at 10:20 Haha! This was great. Very well done!
These WERE the original actors. They voiced the Star Trek game. 🖖
OMG...I'm a kid all over again!!! Spent a LOT of Saturdays watching this show!
Same here, I remember sleeping over at my best friend’s house the weekend it premiered along with all the other new Saturday morning cartoons. I’ve always seen it as a continuation of TOS and wish it could be revived with the original cast (sampled voices) or with the cast of TNG
This was very cool! Thanks for showing it. It felt like I'd gotten to see a missed episode from the original series (a favorite of mine back then).
Love it, hoping I get to see more of it. Sadly so many members of the cast have passed on now.
Great job, and I especially love the music. I never really cared that much for the music from TAS so to incorporate music from TOS was a clever idea.
There are a few missing transition scenes, but otherwise very cool.
With animation, the skies the limit. This could be Phase II or set later than the animated series. I personally would love to see this set in the motion picture era. Concept proved, let's get a season
Just travelled back in time here.
"If Dr. McCoy is aboard, then my being aboard here is essential," Spock
Exlellent work from Flimation on producing and making these cartoons from the 1970s
The animation seems like something added on from Hanna Barbara with the miner. Well done, albeit fast. But understandable with 11 minutes to tell a story. I also liked the TOS soundtrack mixed in with TAS.
Yeah, he looked like a character from Scooby-Doo
"Demons, Klingons, and avalanches..." Oh my!
Perhaps Sulu should have said that, instead of McCoy.
7:47. Wait.
I think there is a scene or two missing, there. 😯
Actually, Chekov and the TOS music were never on the animated series. But this is really good!
You are right, I like the original music on this animated version, the original animated version had a different music score.
This is neat! Thanks for making this. This was my favorite video game back in the day.
Ai can be used to deep fake the voices nowadays. Be easy to do a complete Tas run, or other animated series from any past cast
Yes, I noticed that it looked like a romulan bird of prey also.
It looked more like an aquashuttle. Yes, this is a big gaffe.
I always enjoyed these animated Treks. I have (I think) 45 of my own and I plan to do more. Mine are machinima, done on Second Life. Mine are generally about science concepts and exploration.
This is actually really good. Well done all.
oh hell yes one the best star trek games finally gets it's due and in the star trek animated series no less
Very good…..it’s a lot better than some fan films I have seen and I like the way McCoy gets in the last jab to Spock!,!😂😂😂😂
The ending music of this, particular one was brilliant I always liked that ending music on the original Star Trek. ❤
I want to see animated versions of ST:TNG, ST:DS9,Voyager, and Enterprise .
ua-cam.com/video/Jyz2pVqrEkI/v-deo.html
Wow! I remember watching this as a kid. My goodness! I love this!
Ink you mean "Shore Leave"?
The Republic is a Constitution class star ship, like the Enterprise. That’s not the same class of ship in the opening sequence.
From what I've read, the dialog from SoVF is lost.
There are some very good Star Trek audio books out there. I have one called "Transformations: A Captain Sulu Adventure." It's on Cassette Tape and It's Really good. It was written by David Stern and features George Takai, Diana Ivey and Daniel Gerroll. Could have been one of the original logs series. Very good. However seemed to be a big chunk missing in the middle.
There are a lot of things you can ask in the game, some of that dialog might have been left out.
...and it got it's 5 years(even thou it had to go animated)👽
First chapter of Star Trek 25th Aniversery!!! Briliant!!!
Those aliens are from the TAS episode "The Infinite Vulcan"
Brilliant! I have so many questions.. Where is the audio from, how many more episodes like this are there? Are you planning on making more of these? Thank you!
This is a lot like our old Star Trek that we know and love!
Ah yes, I played that game when I was a teenager, it was made by interplay if I'm not mistaken from the 25th anniversary lol DOS version!
Is this using audio from the 25th anniversary game?
An excellent episode ✔️✔️✔️✔️✔️
They should've long done this for one of the Star Trek animated shows. The hell is wrong with Paramount +?!
There’s another video on UA-cam that explains the conflicts Paramount had with Gene Roddenberry over the aborted Phase 2 series. I think the animated series was something of a compromise they all agreed to
Why did i feel like that i heard chekov in the fog?
With aAI you could go back and do the voices.
Just needs some TLC in editing technique and some fill in scenes, and it will rock.
Since when does Uhura call Kirk "Jim"? (02:14)
That wasn't Uhura. That was the Admiral from Starfleet.
The Republic was also a Constitution class starship per the 25th Anniversary computer game
Awesome work!
The one Hanna Barbera character is from Scooby Doo where are you
We need TAS versions of "Judgment Rites" episodes
Working on it.
Made me break out my Macintosh IIsi. Play some TOS 25th game.
Excellent job! I can't believe I hadn't seen this before. I loved the 25th Anniversary game and I also love the animated series. This was a great idea. I might take a crack at one myself.
What year did this first air?
I loved this. But I would have preferred if the Republic was a Constitution class with NCC 1371.
First thought was:
"Shit this is the title of the first mission of the 25th anniversary game"
Then 10 seconds in, I smiled, it's a good spin on the game itself
what if the cartoon had moved onto Phase 2?, theres a thought.
3:44 why does this guy look like he's from disney???
Hanna Barbera. From episode of Scooby Doo. Not my first pick.
I'd rather have stimulating dialog then special fx and props and empty imagination
This is great but how the hell did you get the voices
It's from an old videogame called Star Trek: 25th Anniversary
Stick footage from Scooby Doo the snow ghost in keeper.😊
I don't understand what I just watched. Looks like you cut together scenes from different episodes and music and sound effects from the Original Series. Not sure where some of the "new" original cast dialogue came from, if it's new. Anyway, you should have used only TAS music and sound effects - the TOS stuff doesn't mesh.
Shatner always sounded uninterested 🙄 on TAS…
It's Doctor Greenthumb from Josie and the Pussycats!!
Nope, it is Mr. Greenway, from the Scooby Doo, Where Are You? Episode "That's Snow Ghost".
This is from the 25th anniversary game
Fantastic man!
Are the voices a I generated?
Wonderful! :)
Boy, that was disappointing. I thought the episode would be about Captain Kirk and the Enterprise crew actually landing on a planet populated by demons. I guess they didn't have the budget for the cheap, animated series to feature such creatures.
Please explain.
Indeed the MahāBhāharata describes ogres with ears pointed and very long.
Awesome!
🖖live long and prosper... ❤
This was sloppiness for using too many animations cells for Orginal cartoons. Although the voice overs were very good. The leader of mining colony looks a reject from Scooby-Doo cartoons. At least could come up with new alien characters.
Star Trek 25th Anniversary, Episode 1: Demon World
My compliments to the creator(s) of this animated episode.
7:35 and if you cant control your thoughts just think of Orions😂
6:05 - OOPS!
Just the likeness can be improved on😊
Well that was nice!
You managed to make Filmation look expensive.
You say avalanche, I say ahvahlaunch
Immediate reaction: wtf is this.
Aliens that resemble Earth demons? So, just like the book "90 Trillion Fausts"?
Or “Chldhoods End”
Hmmm, nice work but it is derivative of what has already been done. Using old clips in a new way is the same thing as low level AI, just mimicking and not creating. If you added elements, perhaps it would be a new thing but as of now, it is not.
Get my box of Quake
And I'll go for a box of Quisp... 😉
Just found this video. The voice actors are astoundingly similar to the originals!
The voices come from the video game "Star Trek 25th Anniversary"
@404TVfrdon’t bag on him, he was being complimentary
@404TVfrYou lost any credibility by saying bruh.
@404TVfr Don’t care
@404TVfr Thats not my nose and I’d appreciate you keeping your hands off of it. BTW, Your life called. Wants to get back with you…
Heaven is the final frontier.......
Stock footage.

I remember watching this shit when it first aired. Regreted it ever since.
Every six months to a year I get fooled into watching this crud. Fool me once, shame on you. Edit: Fool me twice shame on me.😮
this was mentally ill.....
