Given that this movie was inspired by Harry and how he was constatly made fun of during his X-Factor time for "liking older women"... it kinda leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Because of the whole Caroline Calloway affair (he was seen out with this middle aged woman at 17). Harry can like anyone he wants but he was definitely fetishized... How he feels about this in retrospect I cannot tell :/ Also the whole Olivia saga.... that lady was something else wheeew.
I honestly don’t remember anything pre midnight memories bc I didnt follow them back then, but I think the author doesn’t know that much about 1d either, bc based on what ppl say about the book, it was not as closely related to 1d as the movie. We’ll, the visuals of the movie anyway

So the part where they make fun of Hayden for purposely going for older woman is p accurate to the 1D lore. I think a lot of people older than the boys saw Harry as this figure to fetishize through this. Harry was the youngest in 1D :(
