Brawn and Cosmos were my grand mother's favorites, she would always pick them when we played . I'm 42 and still hooked . RIP " Nunny " your were the best grandmother.
I’m 42 and I still look at these catalogs and want them all. I have about 165 G1 transformers lol looking forward to your reviews of all these figures in the 84 catalog! Thanks for doing this!
I had him as a kid because of how cool he was in the cartoon. Once I got the toy, It was difficult for my imagination to comprehend that the smallest autobot was the strongest. I'd love to see a WFC-Earthrise version like they did for Cliffjumper.
I never had any of these mini bots when I first started to receive them. They're cool, but I do like those larger vehicles a lot more. Sunstreaker was my favorite car behind Optimus Prime.
Great review George. Informative and entertaining. I too stared for hours at the catalogues. Amazing how many figures weren't transformed correctly. I never owned Brawn. This vid makes me want one now. Ever noticed the resemblance between Brawn and Man-at-arms? Especially the cartoon Brawn? Or is it just me?
Nice video! Brawn g1 was my first ever transformer so he’s a special character for me. Was just gifted the studio 86’ version and I’m tripping lol.. have a great week❤🕯️🦾
Epic review The 80's Transformers Fan!!!!!!!!!!! :D I'm glad that Brawn was given an actual face with two eyes and a mouth instead of the visor with mouthplate face the action figure has. :) Keep on being amazing, Double Thumbs Up. ;D
Brawn is probably my newest G1 purchase, I never had him or Outback as a kid and didn't know anyone who did so it was a real treat when he arrived in the post a few months ago. I really like his wrench arms and I think he's probably one of my favourite minibots. Great review George, I'm really enjoying the series.
I found it most interesting that in addition to "Brawn's" remarkable strenth, (which was generated by "gyros" in his arms & shoulders,) Somehow "Starscream" & "Megs" knew exactly where to hit him at!!!! 😯
Man you just took me back to 1984 at Lionel Playworld with that catalog. Man only we know that "feeling"...I would even go nuts just looking at the back of the box art for hours and crying how broke I was back then to afford them. But I rank Brawn like my 15th place...I love my Supercars like Mirage, Sunscreen, Red Alert.
Rudimentary as hell, but utterly precious to this 45 year old. I have this as well as the FansToys offering. If made to choose to keep only only one, I choose wrench arms all damn day.
Now I'm dreaming of the Earthrise version they better make! With all those beautiful variants! That robot mode on the g1 figure is awful, Brawn deserves better.
I had Brawn as a kid is the 80's and mine was Tan... I got him as a birthday gift...I didn't play with him much because he didn't have any weapons. And I never notice that he was green in the toy catalog till year's later. I wonder where my aunt got that Tan Brawn from?
KB Toys had the non-Hasbro ones you could get every now and then. My Shockwave, camera guys, Sunstreaker, and a few others were non-Hasbro versions. They were about half the price of the Transformers licensed ones. Some of them came with pilot figures that were die-cast with plastic arms and legs and magnets on their feet.
@@dalethomas2073 those were Takara version that were released in America before Hasbro picked up the licenses. A lot of people I know had them as kids and wonder how they got them.
Good review! I had some Transformers cards when I was younger. And the card that showed Megatron in gun mode. Pretty much states that a direct shot from Megatron can kill ANY Autobot. I'm going to exclude Optimus Prime from that list, though.
"N in that toy line, Brawn was a toy" lol I really dig ur reviews, man. Every toy truly does have a story n it's nice hearing all the stories u tell about the figures u review. Thanks you too! Let me give you a head start to my contest anyway. Question # 1 What was the very first Transformer I owned as a kid? Question # 2 what Transformers was I denied as a kid and never had? Question # 3 what was and is my favorite Transformers?
@@80sTransfromersFan Oh wow! Great video. Looking forward to the rest and beyond. I was a huge Transformers fan in 1984, but I didn’t touch the minibots. Those things were ugly. They were cool in the show though. I loved the rest of the Transformers line and owned most of them.
I get his bio in a way. He was made as the equivalent to a typical musclehead. All BRAWN...no brain. Probably didn't need firepower because of his overwhelming strength.
Great Review You forget that Brawn voice by Kirk Baily (1984-1986) Brawn Nickname is Muscles and He Bully some of his Autobots Teammates like in one episode The Microbots Brawn bully Perceptor the Scientist Voice By Paul Eiding Brawn was angered that fellow Autobot Perceptor did not participate in battles, not understanding that Perceptor's scientific and technical skills necessitated his exclusion from combat missions to the irritation of Bumblebee and Optimus Prime, Brawn decided it was his job to bully the Autobot scientist, insinuating that Perceptor was a coward not prepared to do his duty alongside the other Autobots brawn later changed his tune and was a big enough 'bot to appreciate Perceptor's skills when the latter hyper-accurately shot the Heart of Cybertron out of the sky however, it is unclear whether Brawn was big enough to apologize to Perceptor for his earlier boorish behavior
I remembered I could talk for every about these! I just tried to keep it simple and sweet! And me you and everyone else can talk more in the comments like this. When I'm done with the 84 wave I want to do my first LIVE video and take an answer question.
where did you get Trailbreaker with that head sculpt? I only ever saw G1 with the toy head and that looks very nice!! I had brawn in 1984 and I hated the toy since it was so different from the cartoon and mine never stood. I kept him in car mode, lol
I got it off of Ebay 12 years ago from a customizer that also made piledrivers for Rumble and Frenzy before Crazy Devy did it . I still have a set . He also made and I have it a cartoon Percepto head.
The only authentic G1 Brawn reissue is the Keychain versions the first is a Hasbro release that was available at Media Play in the u.s. on a g1 style card. And the other is a small white boxed keychain version. I've only owned the first and had no issues with the arms. If it's not a Keychain version reissue it's a knockoff.

Brawn was my firsr transformer.

I think the titans return figure of brawn was the best version
