- With the upcoming Mortal Kombat 1, it's time to celebrate one of the most important fighting video game franchises of all time with this iceberg, exploring the depths of this legendary video game franchise.
Man, I'm so happy to see Van Damme finally made it in to Mortal Kombat even after so many years. It's like his natural place with the series and with us all. If only NRS used "fight to survive" track from Bloodsport movie. And I'm sure that they can, knowing how much money their publisher has. And yeah, the only thing that is missing is Chong Li skin for Liu Kang to compliment Van Damme's skin for Johnny Cage and it would be incredible. Plus the Bloodsport inspired arena for the game, and oh man, the nostalgia would be just incredible!
I actually never thought of Chong Li as Liu Kang until now, it would have been amazing, but I guess for now having Van Damme is already such a nice thing. Greetings!

Still hoping the Doom Slayer makes it into an MK game eventually.

10:13 ryu is actually voiced by kyle hebert best known as the narrator of dragon ball z and the voice of adult gohan and also voiced ryu in most of the street fighter games
Might be a stretch, but I think another Trouble in Little China inspiration was from Wang Chi, the name could have possibly inspired Quan Chi
