Coming back to this style of game is refreshing
No English dub is all that’s keeping this from being perfect (with the DW VAs from 8, not the terrible replacements for 9. And c’mon Koei. Start dubbing SW again).
the framrate is not uncapped, its capped at 60 for gameplay and 30 for cutscenes

This was my most played game on Switch but unfortunately it was all in Japanese and I couldn't understand the text.
I will now double dip and pick this up on Steam since I have my Steam Deck coming too.
I love Musou game, but man, it's pretty expensive for such an old game.
For those curious the missing dlc consists of
Japanese promo items
4 dlc stages for gauntlet mode
And an outfit for one of the crossover characters.
Extra notes
Your "missing" Gallery images are just hiding behind the japanese Language setting for some reason.
Dlc outfits appear to be unlocked by raising character "proficiency" so you must smite things for character swag.
Currently the game is 40 US bucks on steam, which considering all the dlc on other versions is well over a hundred dollars. Id say this is worth it.
[I added up all the dlc I dont own yet on ps3 and despite owning Most of it the cost of what im missing was still about 40 bucks so.... yeah.]
damn 40 US?? in my region its 6.500KWD which is 21.14usd and thats the base price no sale or anything
@@alsh5119 it gets better, the base version of WO4U On Xbox, or Psn is 60 bucks without all the added Dlc.
The steam version is 20 bucks cheaper, and saves you well over a hundred dollars in dlc costs.
With that said... missing some dlc stages for a Mode I barely remember playing and a few outfits seems no problem.
Also I have a correction to make to my past post...Dlc outfits are automatically unlocked.. proficiency just unlocks the usual Orochi 4 outfits.
@@belmontzar yeah console stores are vicious with the prices they almost never change unless its a first party like the "playstation hits" category on psn, WO3U is sold full price on psn in my region. Gotta love steam man
why did you just straight up lie about the game running at an uncapped fps. Cutscenes are locked to 30fps and gameplay is stuck at 60fps.

It's already on the PS4, I recommend it if you want to play and don't have a PC to play it on!

It was released for the PSP called warriors orochi 2 special in 2012 so your forgetting the psp
so sad their removed the cinematic combo in WO4

The HUD is terrible in these games. Why tf is the subtitles covering my character? Its so stupid and annoying. Someone please create a mod to remove the damn HUD
